What To Expect

Choose a morning or afternoon tour, and meet your expert guides at an office in central Jaco. Take a quick 15-minute ride to base camp at a gorgeous 800-acre (324-hectare) property, and then get ready for the adventure with provided Certified Black Diamond gear and a safety briefing. A hike of 20 to 30 minutes takes you into the canyon, with the opportunity to see monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, and other wildlife along the way.

Jump-start the action with a zipline flight that lands on a platform perched above a 300-foot (91-meter) waterfall. Clip on to a rope and, with the help of your guide, rappel down a series of four different waterfalls ranging from 70-90 feet (21-27 meters) in height. Not to worry if you've never rappelled before — it’s a skill that most people can pick up quickly with a bit of expert instruction. Yes, you will get wet!

Next, down-climb the river, scrambling over rocks and boulders to reconnect with the trail. Exit the canyon the fun and fast way on a pair of super ziplines, the longest of which stretches more than 2,000 feet (610 meters). Reward your efforts with a fresh fruit snack and beverage before the return ride to Jaco.

We had a great time, and Limor was fantastic and very knowledgable about the activities as well as the local flora and fauna. Please notice, however, that our tour was not as described here. We chose the afternoon tour, and when we arrived to base camp, our day began with a lunch of arroz con pollo. Then, we did the ziplining, then had the chance to jump off high points into a beautiful pool or swim in it, and then did the canyoning. The most important thing that isn't mentioned here is that at the end, we then had to do a very long and strenuous hike back UP the whole way we had ziplined and rappelled down, to get back to the bus. We were exhausted at the end and I was sore the next day! But a great time, and we saw some very cool wildlife as well. (There was no fruit or drink at the end, and we ate lunch before we went since we weren't expecting to be served any at the beginning, but the food was good and the experience was beautiful and unforgettable.

The best time in Costa Rica

KAYE_O, Jan 2026
We had an absolute blast with Lomar and Lesley. They were attentive to detail and safety. But they made the trip so much fun. While of course always keeping safety first we laughed so hard on this tour. Lomar personally helped me overcome a fear of jumping from heights into a pool which was such a YOLO experience for me. Everyone in our group of 6 rated it the best tour we did all week. Our only disappointed was we didn’t do the extreme tour and rappel down the 150 ft waterfall so I guess we’ll have to come back. If this is rated 5 out of 5 stars I would give it 10 out of 5. We loved every minute of it. It went by too fast.

Memorable mother & daughter adventure

Sindy_H, Jan 2026
This canyoning experience was absolutely unforgettable and beautifully organized from start to finish. The day began with a delicious, authentic lunch, and from there, we moved into an exciting mix of ziplining, cliff jumping (30'), and rappelling down waterfalls. I did this tour with my pre-teen daughter, and I was incredibly impressed by how safe, professional, and reassuring the entire experience was. The guides were extremely friendly, patient, and attentive, making sure everyone felt confident and supported at every step. It was the perfect balance of adventure and care—thrilling without ever feeling overwhelming. We both absolutely loved the experience and came away with unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this tour.

Super fun adventure. Not for the timid. Lomar and Renault (spelling? Sorry brother) were fantastic guides. Beautiful trails and waterfalls. Bring your family and go!

Super fun and challenging waterfall adventure

Zell_M, Nov 2025
You should be in decent shape with no major mobility issues to participate on this tour. This tour was incredibly fun and more challenging than I expected from the pictures. The two guides were amazing and took great care of us. Safety was their number one priority with making sure that we had fun a close second. My partner and I had the best time. This experience exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a challenge and a thrill.

Lots of fun!

Very fun day! We all felt very safe with our guides prioritizing our safety the entire time! Such a fun experience! Be ready for a long hike back to the car with beautiful views!

Unforgettable experience!!

Carlos_M, Aug 2025
The guides, Wilson and Lamelo (i hope i got his name right) were unbelievable! Fun, happy, joyful and provided amazing customer service. They made our kids comfortable with the experience, even though it was a challenging experience, they kept an upbeat attitude. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Pura Vida

Real costa rican experience

Stephen_C, May 2025
This was an amazing experience. We had a small group and our guides were amazing. You start at a woman's house for a homemade lunch. Then you load up in a truck and drive to the start. You'll do 2 ziplines, then a practice repel. Even if you have no knowledge, they tell you everything you need to know. After the practice rapel, you'll do some cliff jumping, and again the guides are right there. After the jump (you can do 12 foot or 30 foot) you walk down to the next area to begin your repelling down two waterfalls. Along the way, our guides would stop and teach us about the fauna and animals. They even showed us a berry that serves as a natural mosquito family, and they helped teach us some Spanish. After the last waterfall you then climb and hike back to the top. I will say you need to be a little in shape as the climb back up is a little tough, but my 15 and 12 year old daughters did it no issue. I struggled a little but this is truly a great way to see true costa rica

Great staff! Recommend for experienced rappellers!

Amy_S, May 2025
Great experience! Lomar was our driver, speaks great English and showed us local areas of interest on our way to base camp. Had a great lunch and met the rest of the staff. They took us farther into rainforest, geared us all up and went through a safety demo. 2 zip lines, walk to the cliff diving, 1 12 ft fall and one 30 ft. Then hiked to the waterfall for rappelling. Great staff who are very helpful! Words of advise from a 50 yo average shape woman, I’m not easily intimidated and will try most things. It did not feel like it was a beginner waterfall to me. If you have done this sort of thing before. Go for it! You won’t be disappointed! Also, wear shoes with a good grip. I had on Keens and the rocks were very slick. The hike out is almost all uphill but there are ropes in most places to hold on to.

Great value!

Janet_T, Feb 2025
Great value for the price! Zip lines, rappelling, hiking, safari like ride up, great lunch, wonderful guides!!

Falls adventure

Such a great day. We had all skill levels and everyone loved it. Definitely recommend. Guide was very helpful and funny as well

EPIC EXPERE

Sarah_S, Jun 2024
This is a must do!!! Most EPIC experience ever!! The tour started out with a Costa Rican breakfast prepared for us by two delightful Costa Rican women in a nice village room. It was a true cultural experience. In addition we had dietary restrictions and our guide picked up special food for us. Our guides were Lamar and Joaquin. They were abosolutely amazing!!! They were funny, knowledgeable, and they kept us so safe. They had so much experience and made the trip so much fun!!! Definitely wear water sneakers off you have, but if you are like me who forgot to bring, your shoes will prob be fine. I wore black Nike airmax and they were totally fine. Go for the cliff jumping even if you are scared, it was so cool!!! Also there is a place to leave your extra stuff if you don’t want to bring them on actual hike. Highly recommend bringing a water proof floatable case for your phone because it is much easier to take cool pics and videos without getting it ruined. You can come with family or friends and you will not regret it! Most epic amazing adventurous experience ever!!!

Fun adventure!

Danielle_S, Feb 2024
Such a fun way to see the beauty of Costa Rica! Ours guides were incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and put an emphasis on safety. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic adventure canyoning

Andrea_G, Feb 2024
We had a great time canyoning. Lomar and Luis were fantastic guides, both keeping us safe and laughing throughout. Zip line, rappel, and water jumps. We had a blast! They have a great relationship with the neighboring land owners and do their best to keep nature at its best. The local meal with delicious.

Full day of adventure in half a day

Nico_L, Feb 2024
The guides were very competent and entertaining. We had no rappelling experience and we were able to do it all with their instruction. The combination of rappelling, zip lining, and cliff jumping made it a great adventure. It was only a half day but felt like a full day adventure. Would definitely do it again with this company!

Fabulous-do not miss!

Amy_P, Feb 2024
Our guides Loman & Joaquin were the absolute best. We were picked up at the meet point right on time and taken to base camp to enjoy the best homemade breakfast and coffee we had the whole trip. Then we rode in the upscale truck back (just recently built by our very own guides!) with beautiful views and nature to the to top to gear up. Two great ziplines to the river, then walking along the clearest, freshest river to the repel. The waterfall was in 'dry' season, but just the perfect amount of challenging and fun. The guides were also willing to take so many fabulous pictures of our experience. I cannot recommend this excursion enough. Some of the best money we have ever spent.

Amazing Experience

Lucas_P, Jan 2024
Joaquin and Luis were great guides to have - super fun and relaxed but also very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe, as they had each been doing this for many years. They had such a nice balance of joking around, sharing stories, learning about us, and making sure we felt comfortable with the skills needed to repel/zip line safely. We weren’t quite sure how intense/immersive the experience would be but the repelling was cut into four parts down a big waterfall and for having never done something like that they gave us tips along the way that helped us gain confidence very quickly.

Adrenaline Rush

Joseph_V, Mar 2023
Exciting adrenalin rush. The 2 zip lines were a fun way to start the excitement. Christian and Lomar were fun and informative when it came to safety and teaching the repelling. The waterfall repel was a challenge. You better be in good shape to handle the rush, humidity and challenging hike back up the waterfall. We enjoyed the experience

It had its ups and downs (all kidding aside, two thumbs up).

timothy_l, Feb 2023
Great trip - strenuous (but mostly only for the climb back out of the gorge at the end). But very safe given what it is, and Mike and Lomar were excellent guides - quite knowledgable, personable and attentive. They felt like old friends by the end. The truck ride up and back was very scenic. And rugged. Ride on the cab, if they'll let you, but make sure everyone gets a turn if they want to. Saw toucans, scarlet macaws and cicada rain (don't try to taste it). The provided lunch was good. Local flavor, prepared on site, and quite appreciated. It was the dry season, so the 'river' was on the lower side - we didn't really get drenched above the knees except from jumping in the two pools. The water was just brisk enough to be refreshing. Not cold at all. The rappels were generally fairly short, but still fun (it may not be thrilling for really experienced canyoneers). Lomar went out of his way to try to help get some pics with our phones (when safety and circumstances allowed). Some of the helmets have camera mounts. Wish I had known/thought of this and brought my GoPro along -my only complaint, really. My friends and I enjoyed the whole experience quite a bit. Beer was available at the end, and cheap.

Great time, Christian &...

john_w, Jun 2022
Great time, Christian & Lamar we funny and professional. Safety was taken seriously. My wife & I took our 3 adult daughters ages 18, 21 & 24. The rainforest was fascinating and we saw a toucan and a black & green dart frog. I would recommend this excursion for the adventurous. Would definitely do this one again.

Lamar is the best. Do this trip!

Daniel_W, Apr 2022
This is a must do trip. The tour guide, Lamar, has been doing this for 18 years and knows everything there is about the jungle. He found us toucans, a pack of monkeys, wild turkeys and all types of cool trees. The actual canyoning itself is so fun a ridiculously beautiful.

Unexpected Wild Tour

Frank_A, Aug 2021
Is not as easy as it looks lol. Our guide was Lomar. He was fun and energetic, kept us laughing the entire trip. The hike was fun and not too difficult, but going down the waterfall that was hard, exciting, and scary all at the same time.

Our guides were awesome. They made it all fun from beginning to the end. They were funny and analyzed the all situations to keep us safe.

Awesome experience! A must do!!

Katricia_R, Oct 2018
This was a great experience fro all 4 of us starting from the check-in with Hanna to the guides, Edwardo, Josue and Jaquin!! We felt very safe and loved the experience! Highly recommend!

This tour was the perfect...

Angela M, Feb 2017
This tour was the perfect mini-adventure. We did the early morning tour, which was the perfect temperature for the hiking involved. I loved how the tour was varied, with a great mix of hiking, zip lining, and of course the repelling. I thought the waterfall repelling would be much more difficult than it turned out to be, thanks to the full explanation from the guides we got it down quickly. Josh was so funny - he was very encouraging throughout the entire trip, his ease up on the platforms made the drops much more manageable. Serious rush of adrenaline, highly recommend it

You would never guess a few minutes...

Kathleen_H, Nov 2016
You would never guess a few minutes from the beach is an amazing jungle and beautiful waterfalls. The guides are wonderful and help you the entire way. It is a fun and exciting adventure. Definitely something you need to do.
