All ATV/Rhino Tours will require that a credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) voucher be taken and kept on file until the vehicle is returned in the same condition in which it was rented. Once the vehicle has been returned safely to our shop in the same condition in which it was rented, your voucher will either be returned to you, or destroyed on the spot, whichever you prefer. You must bring the required number of credit cards with you to Adventure Tours Costa Rica on the day of your ATV/Rhino tour. The number of credit cards required for your ATV Tour with us are as follows: 1 - 4 vehicles -1 card with a hold of $1000 5 – 8 vehicles - 2 cards with hold of $1000 each 9 – 12 vehicles – 3 cards with a hold of $1000 each.
Recommended to Bring: Camera, Closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes, etc), Clothes you can get dirty (shorts/t-shirts), Swimsuits, Sunscreen, Bug spray (though not necessary)

Minimum drinking age in Costa Rica is 18 years
Will be operated by a multi-lingual guide (Spanish and English)

Trail conditions and rider ability may alter routes; therefore any features described herein may not be available for each tour. Please speak directly with your guide on the day of your tour for an up-to-date description of the expected route, as conditions can change on a daily basis.

ATV drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license

This is an excellent tour and SO MUCH FUN! My wife was a little nervous about driving her own ATV, but got comfortable very quickly and she loved it. Kiko was a fantastic guide and taught us lots about the wonder and nature of Costa Rica and its people. We went swimming under and behind a waterfall, saw lots of beautiful birds, enjoyed breathtaking views and ate delicious homemade local food. We highly recommend this adventure.

This activity was unbelievably fun!! There was 9 of us..my husband and I, our 6 adult/teenage kids and one fiancé! Our guides were amazing, knowledgeable and friendly! We got some great pictures, had a ton of fun at the waterfall and lunch was so yummy! The little town at the top of the mountain was great! Would love to go back and explore more around there! The little walk into the waterfall was easy and our guides stopped and showed us the tarantulas in the dirt walk. I told him “no bueno” and turned my head, hahaha!! Most important part of our trip was that our guides raced off somewhere on his ATV (when we were well into an hour up the mountain) and came back with a banana and Twix bar for my Type 1 diabetic daughter!! I had her emergency nasal kit, but somehow everyone else including her forgot a quick snack in case she got low!! So grateful for him 💕

Spent the afternoon with Justin. From picking us up at our hotel to being our guide for the afternoon, Justin was kind, polite and constantly on the look out for native birds and sloths. He made sure our afternoon was so fun and loved the waterfall and all the views. Great job Justin!!

Intense and fun! More gravel and asphalt than we would have liked. Definitely go to the waterfall so you can ride more jungle trails. Lunch was amazing!!!

Super awesome experience and a totally unique way to experience Costa Rica. The tour was amazing and our guide, Eric, was fabulous to have. He was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our trip—ensuring everyone’s safety and making sure we were all comfortable and having fun! It was really a great tour and worth it if you love the outdoors! Also wear clothes you’re comfortable getting a little dirty because boy howdy is there dust

This experience did not disappointment! Everything I imagined it would be and more. The guide, Will, was amazing! He was so nice and knowledgeable. He was patient and helped us if we needed anything. We went up and down the mountain, through different terrain to the waterfall. Waterfall area was so cool. We climbed up the side to get to the top and were able to jump in and swim around. After we ate an authentic Costa Rican meal overlooking the side of the mountain. While we ate, a Tucan showed up on a nearby tree! It was so magical. Food was delicious and there was so much I couldn’t finish! A must do on your trip! Highly recommend!

We shared this experience as part of a mini family reunion. We were very excited for an ATV tour. This tour was amazing. The views were incredible and stunning. One minute we were at the rental building and the next we were zooming trough a tropical rainforest and up into the mountains. The trails were challenging but not so challenging that novice riders weren’t able to maneuver. Our guides were excellent. They were fun and very informative. They were great at pointing out the wildlife and important sites. I do wish they had name tags. There was so much information passed on that it was difficult to catch their names. I felt this adventure was a great value considering that lunch was provided at the top of the mountain. The food was served at a regular restaurant and the options were plentiful. The drinks were cold and the watermelon smoothie was so tasty. In summary, I loved this adventure!

What an incredible ATV waterfall adventure! Our group of 7 adults had an absolute blast on this tour – hands down one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Costa Rica and the perfect way to end our last full day. The guides were truly amazing: knowledgeable, fun, and attentive, making everyone feel safe and excited throughout the ride. We powered through the hills with stunning vistas all around, just enough mud and water to keep the adrenaline pumping without being overwhelming, and arrived at a breathtaking waterfall spot. Lunch was superb – fresh, delicious food enjoyed with an unforgettable panoramic view over the lush rainforest. My husband and I had an amazing ATV Tour adventure! Our guide was friendly and chill, which is always ideal for a tour imo. He went out of his way to try and help us see wildlife because he could tell we were excited to see them. Swimming at the waterfall and lunch in the mountains was amazing. The ATV’s were really fun, if a tiny bit scary in the beginning. Our guides Jordon and Emmanuel were wonderful. I’m 67 and not exceptionally athletic, but they were very careful to make sure my helmet was fastened, that my ATV was turned off properly and they held by hand or elbow to make sure I didn’t fall. I felt like they were family

What an experience!!!!! Our guide was amazing very open and friendly. We loved cruising around in the ATVs, enjoying the views and learning about Costa Rica’s history! The lunch was 10/10!!! It was a fun experience to be able to ride ATVs though the mountains and forests. We rode to a national park and swam in the waterfalls and when to the mountain top and had a nice lunch overlooking the valley. It was such a good time and worth the short trip from our hotel. Pick up and return was included from our hotel so that was great to have. Some of the terrain is rough going up and down the mountains, but we were having fun and our guide kept us safe. Would definitely do it again. We got to see a Toucan and some Sloths in the trees too!

This excursion was absolutely incredible. It had rained the night before so the trails were muddy and slippery. This made it so much more fun. The tour guide (I don’t recall his name and I’m upset about that) was absolutely amazing. He stopped and showed different things along the way and talked about them. He also directed us towards a newer waterfall that was stunning. The lunch was at a local restaurant and was very tasty and delicious. I would highly recommend this tour if you have an open day and don’t know what to do.

This ATV tour is a must do while in Jaco. The guide was great. He not only made sure we had a blast on the ATV, but also ensured we learned various plants and spotted a Toucan, Macaw and Sloth for us. The waterfall is beautiful and views from the mountains are breathtaking.

If you pick just one adventure to go on, this is the one! Kiko was our guide and he was perfect for us, he was awesome. The waterfall was so nice to take a dip in and the scenery on the way up was pretty cool. Our lunch at the little restaurant in the Village was one of the best meals we’ve had for lunch in CR. Would definitely.do this again! Thank you Kiko for making this trip one of the top adventures for us!

Exhilarating Experience

The facility and staff presented well and very professional. I found the equipment to be safe and in great working condition. From the start of excursion we were mesmerized by the scenery. Our tour guide, Emmanuel was assertive, to the extent that we felt very confident in what we were doing. Emanuel was very considerate of our time. He allowed for plenty of time to take pictures. He also took lots of pictures for us, which may in fact be the best pictures from our entire time in Costa Rica. We are so appreciative of Adventure Tours Costa Rica and especially Emmanuel.
