Aydin was a great tour...

Aydin was a great tour guide, with a clear and infectious love for his city and its history. His English was great, as was his knowledge. This tour of the walls is a little off the beaten path, but shows a fascinating side of the city. The mosaics in Chora/Kariye were magnificent.

Great tour, even on an unlucky day

This was a great tour. Even on an unlucky day where some entries were cancelled due to snow, I'm very happy. We got to see my main interest (the Walls), and other great items I hand't really knownabout (Chora church). The guide Aydin was knowledgeable, and always had info to share. We were able to customize a few items with extra time due to the closed locations, and I even finished my shopping for family. The hotel pickup/dropoff made it all easy, even from downtown. I'd recommend this, and might even do it again myself in better weather.

My wife’s top attraction to see in Istanbul was the Wall. It lived up to her expectations. The tour guide Aiden was wonderful. Experience and knowledge. He knows the perfect locations to show us. An added benefit is we were the only tourists at the site.

The city walls and Cora church tour is a must for the history buff going to Istanbul, who has already seen the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and other sites in the old city. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Aydin. It is clear that he loves the area around the city walls and Cora church. His knowledge was impressive and his enthusiasm or was infectious as he and I discussed various periods of byzantine and early ottoman history. Even my wife who does not particularly care for visiting history sites was very impressed. Be prepared for some walking and stair climbing since of course you were going on the city walls. For me the highlight was finally being able to see the mosaic in the Chora church. They are truly masterpieces of the late byzantine period
