What an amazing day. Family of 7 age ranging 12-55. Ricardo the skipper was great. Communication day before and in the day was second to none, really put my mind at ease. We took our own food and drink which allowed us to spend lots of time in Espalmador, Formentera and we really enjoyed the paddle boarding, snorkelling in the waters around the boat. The boat was super clean and well equipped for our needs. Would not hesitate to recommend A****** Thank you.

We had the most special day on our charter cruise from Ibiza Town to Formentera! Everything about the experience was seamless and unforgettable. Ricardo, our skipper, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the day. He even went the extra mile to book us a table at a beautiful restaurant in Formentera, which made the day feel even more special.
The boat was clean, comfortable, and really well-equipped. There was a small kitchen and a toilet on board, as well as a speaker so we could play our own music and enjoy the vibe. We kept our drinks cool with the onboard facilities, which was perfect for the warm weather.
There was plenty of space to relax, with seating in the main part of the boat and two spacious padded lounging areas at the front, complete with fitted towels—super comfortable! We also made great use of the paddle board and snorkels while anchored in Formentera, which was a highlight of the trip.
All in all, it was a perfect day at sea, and we couldn’t recommend this charter experience enough. If you’re considering a boat trip around Ibiza and Formentera, don’t hesitate—this was a truly unforgettable experience!

He made sure we arrived to our lunch reservation on Formentera on time, then recommended an amazing secluded bay at a nearby island for us to snorkel at afterwards. Captain Alex was so good at making sure we were comfortable and safe on the trip. I cannot emphasize enough how well he handled the sail and made sure we were comfortable on the cruise. A note for those who have not been on the water - it can get choppy and bumpy, and the most important thing you can do is - enjoy it! Captain Alex steered us through a wonderful trip to S'Espalmador and Formentera and he was patient. He asked questions to see where we wanted to be and made sure he took us there. we set times for drop off and pick up, and it was a great day all the way around. Thank you Captain Alex!

If you are considering this excursion, you should understand that the trip from Ibiza to Formentera can take over 2 hours there and almost 3 hours back when the sailboat is using it's very small motor. Our trip was on a windy day but we were told the sailboat was unable to fully sail, possibly the wind was coming from the wrong direction, so while the sail was up we mostly relied upon the boat's very small motor. The transit time was not enjoyable as the boat was pitching in the sea and we had to sit still and hold on tightly because we were bouncing in the waves. When we reached Formentera we were told we could not use the paddleboards because of the wind and that there was nothing to see with the snorkeling gear. This whole trip felt like a bait and switch. I think the tour operator should have cancelled the trip this day given the conditions. We had one day in Ibiza and regret using it on this excursion. Instead, I would recommend taking the high-speed ferry which will get you to Formentera in 30 minutes for a fraction of the price.

I am deeply sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, but I cannot allow false statements to be made that undermine our ethics and professionalism.
First of all, I want to make it clear that after more than 10 years of experience and having successfully completed hundreds of tours, this is the first negative comment we have ever received. I understand that everyone has certain expectations when participating in an activity like this, but it is unacceptable to tarnish the reputation of a local business based on personal frustrations.
At Ibiza Sailing, the safety of our customers has always been our top priority. To suggest that the tour should have been canceled due to "bad weather" is completely false. On the day in question, there was no weather condition that compromised the safety of the passengers or the boat. Saying otherwise directly challenges our professionalism, which has been backed by years of impeccable work and the trust of top tour operators such as Viator.
To further clarify, these three passengers came from a cruise ship, a type of sailing that has nothing to do with the experience of a sailboat. They also requested a schedule change to accommodate the few hours their cruise allowed them to stay on the island. Despite the challenges this posed, we gladly accepted their request, which required extra effort from the captain, who also has a work schedule to respect.
Once on board, they were visibly fearful of the sea, even though the conditions were completely normal, as evidenced by the many recreational boats around us, many of them with families and children aboard. Furthermore, once anchored in Espalmador Natural Park, a gem that you obviously cannot visit by ferry, the captain recommended that they not use the paddleboard, not so much due to sea conditions but because of their lack of experience and physical condition, something we prioritize for safety reasons. Offering this activity without considering this factor would have been completely irresponsible.
As for the sailing times between Ibiza and Formentera that they mentioned, they are entirely false. As you stated, the return trip took longer (3 hours), almost twice the usual time, because you repeatedly requested to sail with the wind, even though there wasn’t enough wind for it. The captain eventually agreed to your wishes, which resulted in a slow journey because there was not enough wind to sail at the desired speed. If there wasn’t enough wind to sail, and this was done at the request of three people with no experience in the matter, how can you suggest that the tour should have been canceled due to bad weather?
It seems that your lack of understanding of the type of activity you booked made you feel disappointed, and I deeply regret that you were unable to enjoy the experience. However, I cannot allow false claims to be made that put our professionalism in doubt. For years, we have operated with the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction, and the fact that this is the only negative review we have received speaks for itself.
I encourage anyone interested to review the hundreds of positive comments we have received over the years, which accurately reflect the experience we offer and the level of satisfaction we achieve. What is expressed here is merely the frustration of three individuals who, unfortunately, did not understand what a true sailing experience entails.

We had a great day out sailing from Ibiza town to Formentera, was easy to find and park at large car park right next to port for fast ferries to Formentera, Felipe our captain was very professional and confident sailor, he tools us to 2 different beautiful beaches where we could swim, use the paddle board or snorkel, a very relaxed enjoyable day.

The trip was amazing , 8 hours went too fast .
Beautiful weather , we stopped at 2 places and went ashore via a little boat .. we used the snorkel gear and the paddle board . We bought our own picnic as there was a fridge onboard .

The whole thing is just perfect! The captain, Alex sent us a note the day before. We met him in the morning and start to sail out. The weather is perfect, the water is calm, the conversation is great. We had two stops and got into the water. The trip is very memorable!

Alex our Captain was lovely, his English was excellent, he was very knowledgeable and made our day thoroughly enjoyable. We didn't bring food and he was able to secure us a restaurant booking on Formentera even though it was high season. The boat was well equipped, comfortable and clean. He provided snorkeling gear, a paddle board and took us to two different beaches. He tailored our trip around the fact we needed to get lunch first. Stopping at Formentera then Illetes. Our 6 year old loved the trip and was able to have a go at steering the boat, which made his day!

Alex, our skipper, was awesome! He navigated the sailboat well, provided us with all the information we would need for the day, and answered all of our questions. He was right on time and was exactly where the email said to meet him. He took us to Formentera, which was so beautiful. We used What's App to communicate with him on the boat while we were on the beach. He gave us all the space we needed while still being close enough to assist us when needed. We had these floaties that needed air in them. Alex blew one of the 6' floats up manually. Alex was also ready with Dramamine, which I had to take because of the waves. This was by far the best day on Ibiza!
