- Winter period (December to end of April) is not an ideal time for snorkeling due to low water level.
- In winter period, you will not see many fish, corals...because sea water is not very clear due to weather.
- If you expect a less touristy and pristine beach , then Summer time (June, July, August) is not a perfect option for you. Many Vietmamese, especially shool students go here everyday. So it is crowded and chaotic sometimes at the speed boat station and on the beach.
- The perfect time to go here are months September, October, November of the year.

What could have been a great day was poorly run, tour guide was pushy and didn’t seem to
Care at all. Then to push for a tip at the end that topped it off. Would not recommend this tour to anyone, find another company

Dear,
It is a pity but actually this problem had been known before the tour started and you should have stayed at hotel and got back 60% refund but you chose to continue the tour. Before the tour started, our guide did inform all the people in the group that the weather was not supportive and the tour may be shortened if it woud rain. We did give 2 options: The 1st option was that those who wanted to go on tour, they must follow the order of the local authority in case it would be windy and the trip would be shortened. The 2nd option was that if anyone wanted to cancel last minute, we agreed to give back 60% of the amount. You chose to go and as a matter of fact it became so windy and rained heavily. Obviously the tour guide must be responsible to lead the group to go back the land earlier than scheduled but you asked him to stay longer. It was impossible. We hope you should respect what we agreed and be responsible with your post.

Never got to go. My tour was cancelled without notice and I was left standing at the curb for 45 minutes waiting to be picked up, if I hadn’t called, my guess is I’d still be waiting. Very unprofessional, and disorganized, i would never use or recommend aviator again!

You booked the trip but your location is 20km far away from our defined area. You did not leave your contact so we sent the message though Viator to inform that we could not offer a free pickup at your hotel and so you need to go to the meeting point. It sounds unreasonable that you had our hotline but only called us 45 minutes after pickup time? We hope that you be honest and share the real story. Anyway, my team still helped you to get back full refund (although we have our right to refuse). You should say thanks to our team instead of misleading the story.

The trip back and forth was a bit chaotic, but my main reason as to why, I give the trip so low rating, is because all the corals, we saw, was dead. Also, I was dissapointed, that we were not advised not to touch the coral, even though its dead. Some people might not know, what harm that can do, and thats really something everyone should be told before going to such a precious, despite its death, place.

Thank you very much for using our service. And we feel sorry to hear that you feel unhappy due to chaotic and crowded area where you were in. You travelled on weekends. Many local people went to the island for realxing. As a responsible operator, we did inform this problem clearly to our customers in our tour information (in "Additional Information"). It was so hard for us because we cannot stop them going to the island. You already knew this before you booked so I hope that you should avoid the crowded area in the future tour.
About "dead corals" as you mentioned. We must say that it was difficult for you to see nice corals because you brought a small child and your family asked guide to drop you at the beach (while others took a boat going further to do snnorkeling to see good corals).

Super disappointing. Much larger tour group than advertised (nearly 30 people), hugely disorganised, no interesting information about the area shared by the guide. Completely impersonal experience, and so much time in the day wasted waiting around. Out of a 6 hour day we spent barely 45 minutes of it actually snorkelling. Would not recommend.

This tour like many other tours in Vietnam are run by vendors within vendors. They are disorganized, inefficient, and discriminatory. I was born in Vietnam but lived in the states. I witnessed the saddening discrimination amongst its own people. For instance, there were just “enough” snorkeling gear for Caucasians and natives were not provided with anything. After some complaints, they pulled out a private stash of personal, childlike snorkeling gear - most of which were broken. My kids were heart broken. The tour was over 6 hours but were dumped
Into a small section of the island where ALL the tours congregated. We snorkeled for about 30 minutes before being yelled to return. Which is fine since all we saw were other snorkelers. I have never seen such a poorly run touring system until this visit.

As a customer service, I have read your review carefully and checked carefully with our sales teams, operations team and found out that you booked for 5 adults and 2 children BUT your group cancelled 1 adult and 2 children on the travel date (last minute). You asked us to give you a full refund BUT we could not because all services arranged. So you take this reason to create a story of discriminatory problem was really unfair. You stated that “I lived in the states. I witnessed the saddening discrimination amongst its own people”. Well, maybe it happened in The United States (not the states). But in Vietnam how a discrimination amongst Vietnamese each other happened? We are living in a civilization time so I hope you should not mislead people to a virtual world. It is unbelievable that your children, together with one adult in your group cancelled the tour last minute BUT you said “childlike snorkeling gear - most of which were broken. My kids were heart-broken”. I hope that you should not have negative statement just because you cannot take back payment due to last minute cancellation and should not create a story of discrimination among Vietnamese. Hope you should not do this way to hotels, restaurants in case you cancelled service last minutes.

Late getting on boat. Boat had an engine issue which meant going very slowly. Not the idyllic coral reef or tropical fish to be seen. Lunch was very tasty and made by locals. Snorkels not huge I ally wiped etc. could have had a better trip if I had just turned up and booked a boat myself. Disappointing

Probably one of our worst trips in Vietnam. Seemed very unorganised from the start. A lot of waiting around before boarding the boat. We were given very old dusty used snorkels which we refused and so ended up swimming in the open waters. The only plus was that the food included was very nice.

However, we feel sorry that your snorkeling time was not as long as you expected. This tour is organized in the sea and so we admit that sometimes bad weather causes inconveniences. Your trip was shortened caused by waiting time in the morning due to bad weather (the huge mists was dangerous to move speedboat). That is why all boats were not allowed to go in the mist. We also did warn all those things in our tour details in "Additional Information" tab that Winter period (1st December to end of April) is not an ideal time for snorkeling due to low water level and the cloud make water unclear. So you will not see many fish, corals...and we guessed you also knew this before the trip. We wish that the weather were always good so that our customers have perfect trip. Honestly we hope that you would say the right things once you had misunterstanding between "snorkeling" and "diving". Our tour offer "snorkeling tools"; NOT a "diving tools". Our guide already explained clearly about it and you tried NOT to understand while having snorkeling tools reluctantly. You asked us to refund 100% while you were on the tour because we cannot give you "diving tools" and we replied you clearly that it was NOT our mistake. This tour was a bit disappointing, mainly because it wasn’t as described and we were confused as to what was happening at times. We were picked up at 7:30am and taken to the harbour. We then traveled by local speed boat/water ferry to the island where our guide met us but initially we thought she was a local trying to grab tourists from the boat to tour with her. She was a sweet guide and took us for a quick look at the local well, eco museum and pagoda. We then got back on a boat to go to snorkeling location. There weren’t enough snorkels for everyone and they were pretty mouldy. It was awkward getting off to snorkel because of the narrow aisle on the boat and waiting for others to be ready to get in the water. We were confused as to where to snorkel initially because we were in deep water and couldn’t see anything but as a group we discovered we could go closer to shore (but not allowed to actually stand on the beach). We saw star fish and a handful of fish and some interesting coral. We then went back to the island for a great lunch at a local restaurant. Showers took time with waiting for others here, I wouldn’t have bothered if I’d known that afterward were going to just wander to the beach nearby. After lunch we had 50minutes of our own time to either walk 2km to a beach or look around the island. We were expecting to be taken to a beach by boat for an hour. Due to the short time we walked to the closest Sandy spot and sat on the sand and the kids swam in amongst the fish heads and skeletons. It was great to visit Cham island but it wasn’t quite the relaxing day we expected as we were hoping for time to chill out and play on a beautiful beach. We went back on the boat at 12:30 to return to the Harbour at 1. The description we read said it was from 8am-3pm.

The island itself is beautiful, you cannot take that away from it. We arrived at the port to be harassed for 20 minutes by the locals trying to sell you hats, sun cream, waterproof cases and towels, literally do not leave you alone. We then got on the speed boat which was cramped and taken to an island to look at a well and temple which again was fine but would of liked to be told about the trip as we thought we was snorkelling most of the morning. We end up getting in the sea 2 and half hours later to snorkel 🤿 after another stop for others to get changed which was then waiting another 20 minutes. We get our snorkelling equipment which were broke and filthy to be in the water for half hour and then back on the boat for lunch. We were given an hour to eat and sit on the beach and then back. On the way back we stopped again for the boat to be inspected by the local police. The whole day was a waste and our worst trip. This is my first bad review I have ever written but please do not waste your money on this trip

We had to wait in the heat whilst we were harassed by sellers and then we were taken to a small town to walk around in the heat. All we wanted to do was snorkel and swim in the cold water.

Snorkel location has not much to see. You actually see more people than fish.
It’s not a snorkeling tour, it’s a museum (stores to buy stuff) tour… lunch is not that great and we didn’t get a single bottle of water. We got a coup of tea at a small temple and none at lunch.
English tour guide didn’t speak English other than wait here Come now.
Not worth the price or a day wasted.

On behalf our the Operations team, I feel sad when knowing that the tour did not satisfy you. As a professional and responsible tour operator, we always respect and listen to customers feedback to improve our service. We investigated your feedback and here are what we found out:
+ About water: we written clearly that drinks not included during meals because it is restaurants regulation. My tour guide told us that you complained that water in restaurant is more expensive than in market and he had no right to give free water during lunch. Please sympathize him because it is restaurant regulation, he cannot ask them to lower price for drink.
+ We admit that this is NOT 100% snorkeling tour all the time because it is only part of the itinerary (we mentioned clearly in program the time duration for snokeling). I understand that you NOT happy to see crowded area. But we did inform you that this time (middle June to end of July) is summer vacation for local Vietnamese students, so every beach is more crowded than usual. So we are sorry that we cannot control this situation.
+ You mentioned "it’s a museum (stores to buy stuff) tour". In the tour itinerary, it is clearly written about museum, so we still follow the program for whole group. Maybe you not interested in museum, but we cannot skip this because others want to see. Honestly, with the issue of vendors selling things, we cannot control them. My suggestion is that you please ignore them if you are not interested.
Here are all what I explained with hope you please treat us fairly by giving fair reviews, NOT just based on what we could not follow as you asked because of restaurant regulations.

Trop cher pour ce que c'est !
Un voyage en bateau où on ne peut même pas voir le paysage, visite très courte d'un village où quand on essaye de suivre le guide, ce dernier malgré que très sympathique, fonce dans le petit musée alors que ce dernier mérite au moins 10 bonnes minutes lorsqu'on s'intéresse un minimum!
Ensuite la plongée où on nous donne des masques rouillés et des tubas à mon avis pas très propres et surtout ! Très dangereux : on ne nous dit même pas Qu'il y a des coraux coupants au fond de là où on plonge ! Résultats des courses : j'ai eu des coupures sur et sous les pieds !! Et en plus de ça nous dégradons le fond marin et nous ne voyons rien, en tout cas pas en Novembre :(
J'ai mis deux étoiles car le déjeuner ensuite était sympathique (là on nous laisse une heure et demie pour manger ) et le guide également mais je ne recommande pas.

We were not allowed to operate the trip by local authority for safety of all passengers including you. I did inform you to email or called Viator to get refund (with my company help) because your payment kept by Viator, NOT by my company. While you could not reach them and waiting for the full refund, you could not keep temper and wote a negative review, causing misunderstanding to others. And now that you already got full refund (with my company confirmation to Viator), we ask that you removed your vague reviews as you confirmed with us.

Åkte på morgonen, var hemma igen vid eftermiddag. Perfekt för några timmars vila innan det var dags för kvällsmarknad i Hoi An.
Organisation var helt ok. Men var väldigt noga med att skriva ut vilken stad ni skall hämtas, eftersom gatorna brukar har samma namn i olika städer.
Besöket på ön var sådär. Lite långtråkigt för min smak (museum av vattenrikets "odjur", "1000"-årigt sötvattensbrunn på en ö omgiven av havsvatten, buddistiskt tempel )
Vädret var inte bitande varmt.
Vattnet var ljummet, fast korallreven var en liten besvikelse - vattnet var inte mycket klart och det fanns inte många fiskar att se.
Med tanke på hur många som arbetade och vad som ingick i touren, så kan man säga att priset (ung 500 sek) var någorlunda ok.
