In-depth cooking tour and class

I rode a moped for the first time in HCMC’s crazy traffic. Chef took me from Ben Thanh market to her home on the back of her scooter after giving me tons of information on what you can find in local markets. She showed me neat little tricks for food presentation and using the steamer. I’m comfortable in a kitchen but felt like the remedial student and I guess that’s the point. The food was very yummy! The only downside is that I was expecting a ride back to my point of origin because that was in the booking. I used Grab to get back, but I was a little surprised.

We made 4 different kinds of dishes and a dessert in such a short time, which I didn’t feel was a rush at all. Chef was well prepared. Chef also told us how to decorate the plate!

Great experience, I booked on my last day and I’m so glad I got the chance to learn the authentic way of cooking Vietnamese food. It’s really interesting how clever the methods they use and the flavours they use to create dishes such as Pho. We got to use our knife skills, cook and eat what we had made.

All cooking fans should try this.
