It was an amazing experience, we went to a local market and picked out all the fresh produce, herbs and spices to use for our meal. We got back to the kitchen in the garden and everything was explained and instructed very well and the food turned out great. I would highly recommend this cooking class.

The day started in a local market followed by the going to the venue of the actual cooking class. We cooked outdoors under bamboo huts, surrounded by trees, spices, sunshine. The chef was amazing and very passionate about what she does and it reflects in the dishes we prepared

    I can’t say enough good things about this cooking class! It was an incredible experience — 100% hands-on from start to finish. We cooked and then enjoyed a phenomenal meal with heaps of delicious food, and had such fun cooking in the garden with Thao (I hope I spelled that right!). Thao was a wonderful host and instructor — passionate, knowledgeable, and eager to share her love of Vietnamese cooking. We’d go again tomorrow if we could and have absolutely no reservations about highly recommending Thao’s cooking class to everyone!

    I can’t say enough good things about this cooking class! It was an incredible experience — 100% hands-on from start to finish. We cooked and then enjoyed a phenomenal meal with heaps of delicious food, and had such fun cooking in the garden with Thao (I hope I spelled that right!). Thao was a wonderful host and instructor — passionate, knowledgeable, and eager to share her love of Vietnamese cooking.     Fantastic experience in HCMC

    This was an amazing experience, 1000% recommended! Thao brought us around her bustling neighbourhood morning market, picking up fresh veggies for the day and showing us the various stalls in the area - how locals go about their daily routines. For the cooking class (a short bike ride away), she showed us how to make a few simple but perfectly well balanced dishes - mango salad, sour fish soup, banh xeo, a pandan banana dessert, and egg coffee. (We were so full! Could have done a half banh xeo!) Thao was warm, fun, and friendly, and her instructions were clear and easy to follow. She took the class at a relaxed pace, and showed us tips and tricks to fix some basic cooking problems. What I appreciated most was that she took the time to make a personal connection and share with us little snippets of her life and daily routines. This was such a treat. Thank you Thao and the Vietnam Flavour company!

    This is a must do experience when in Ho Chi Ming city. The food experience is local, with fresh ingredients and a relaxed cooking class in a beautiful outdoor environment. The food we prepared was delicious. Our chef Thao was outgoing, friendly, yet very professional and extremely knowledgeable. She went out of her way to ensure that we had a fabulous experience - you can see her passion for what she does. Definitely a gem!

    The absolute highlight of my Saigon trip!

    The highlight of my Ho Chi Minh City trip! 🌟 Kelly and Nhat were amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe and comfortable riding on the back of their motorbikes through the busy streets. With just 5 of us in the group, it felt intimate and personal, like exploring the city with friends. Every food stop was a gem, each dish absolutely delicious. I’d 100% do this again - it’s the best way to experience Saigon! 🍜🥢

    Faster, Faster! Yes, Chef!

    It was an amazing experience! We were a group of 10 with children as young as 13. We laughed, joked, and feasted on our creations throughout the afternoon/evening. The great part was that the whole market and cooking experience did not feel rushed, despite the most memorable phrase being "FASTER, FASTER!" Chef Thao was full of fun energy and truly wanted to share her culture through food. Come hungry because the food portions are large! The food we made (Canh Chua Cá, Cá Kho Tộ, and Bánh Xèo) have intricate, authentic flavors, yet the instructions were easy to follow. All 3 turned out great and were surprisingly simple! Definitely one of the most memorable experiences of our Saigon trip. If you love food and cooking, be sure to set aside ample time for this full experience with Chef Thao and Alice.

    That was a great teacher. I ended up to be the only student but she was just as enthusiastic and showed me everything. My only regrets was I had too bad a breakfast and could not finish all the great food we prepared together.

    Must do to bring home beautiful memories

    The cooking class is a beautiful highlight of my trip to Ho Chi Minh. The teacher is great, she explains a lot and brings very good energy to the class. The location is a green oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city. The food was AMAZING! They adjusted my menu only to accomodate my veg diet. The only thing, I am vegan and not vegetarian. There was no option to replace the condense milk! Overall the experience is extremely recommended!!!

    Amazing Cooking Class

    This was the most amazing cooking class i ever attended. We went to the market first and then cooked in a garden, it was nice and airy. Everything was explained to me, the different herbs, powders and plants at the market, as well as the meal preparation. The food was great! I highly recommed booking this class.

    Great experience. Starting with a tour of a local food market to see the range of produce used in Vietnamese cooking. Followed by a relaxed cookery class preparing a number of local dishes - which tasted great. Very fun activity. Highly recommended.

    It was an amazing experience. Alice was real nice when we told her we don't drink coffee and she bought for us sugar cane juice. Also when I told her I love cinamon she made me a cinamon tea for during the class. She show us every taste in the market and teach us real cool things.

    The host was amazing and took her time to show us the market and introduced us to many new vegetables and fruits and explained how they were used in different dishes. Then we took a short scooter ride to an amazing outdoor kitchen where we cooked 3 traditional dishes and desert. Everything was top notch and the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend.

    Great fun cooking class!

    Thao picked us up at our hotel near the Ven Thanh market by motorbike. The cooking venue is in a garden. Thao was great, full of stories and explanations. And an ever lasting smile. Everyone of us prepared each dish. We had beef salad, caramel chicken, fishsoup and banana dessert. Far far too much to eat it all, although it was delicious. Even as an experienced amateur cook, I learned some new techniques. The workshop was well prepared. Highly recommended! Thanks Thao! At the end we got some gifts. To return to the hotel we had to take a Grab (or 54 minute walk).

    It was so dope! She is super knowledgeable and kind. The kitchen area is nice too! Being in a garden when there's so much traffic and noise beyond the walls was really nice! Not noisy at all! It was like being in a garden in the middle of the city like a getaway.

    Fun and easy to learn. chef had Patience to teach about the inheritance and timing and all eles between. I feel more confident about cooking the dishes on my own after taking this class

    I had a really fun time being taken round the market, learning about local history ingredients I have never seen before and then go back to cook 4 amazing local dishes. 2 tips, wear something that covers your legs (mosquitoes) and make sure that you are hungry. My host/chef was an amazing, kind and helpful woman and I even got a go on her scooter! Definitely worth it 10/10 experience.

    J’ai passé un excellent moment ! De Nam Du à Ho chi minh, madame Thao et ses proches sont des personnes incroyables. Vous êtes accueillis chaleureusement par une boisson fraîche puis les choses sérieuses commencent ! Nous avons réalisé 3 plats de la cuisine vietnamienne et un dessert donc je vous conseille d’arriver le ventre vide car bien sûr, vous mangerez tout ce que vous cuisinerez ! Malgré que je ne sois pas très bon cuisinier, j’ai été guidé par d’excellents conseils qui ont de moi un vrai chef ! Le cours de cuisine se passe dans un espace ouvert et calme, entouré d’arbres donc c’est super agréable (prévoyez l’anti moustiques). Je vous conseille vivement ce cours de cuisine ! Je vous remercie encore pour tout ces moments passés en votre compagnie ! À bientôt, Léo
