Overview

Soak up the snowy wilderness outside Helsinki on a snowmobile tour. With an experienced guide, travel through the winter landscape near the frozen Gulf of Finland, following a route along forest trails. Take a break to warm up with hot drinks and lunch cooked over a campfire. Two adults ride on one snowmobile, or you can upgrade if you want one to yourself. Located about 19 miles (30 km) east of Helsinki, the snowmobile base will be reached with provided round-trip transport.

Amazing solo trip with our brilliant guide Ken. We were kitted out with everything we needed to keep us warm. it was a very cold day but bright and sunny. Could not have had a better day. Ken was very knowledgable and interesting about the world he lives in. We travelled a distance on the snowmobile over frozen lakes and the inner and outer archipelago, just stunning. We tried ice fishing and kick sledging! and had a delicious BBQ of Finnish food. Thoroughly recommend this trip. Thank you!

Worth every penny. I did this tour in the middle of february, so there was no worry about weather and having enough snow. Our tour guide was amazing! He had generational knowledge of the land and great stories. I had no experience driving a snowmobile before. They, we're great at taking time the to explain and guide us how to use a snowmobile safely and properly.

Everything overall as described was executed to excellence. From the pick up point to the base camp . Very organized and knowledgeable about the area . Had a great time. Everything was provided. Lunch was a great time around the camp fire . Would definitely recommend the tour the outfitters were great. The head guide was the owner of the business and property . Originally booked snowmobile trip, but not enough snow, so we were offered the steel boat/hovercraft/flotation/ice fishing/lunch as way of compensation. So glad there wasn’t enough snow as we had an absolutely brilliant time on the ‘alternative tour’. All the Burn Out City crew were funny, friendly, and professional and knowledgeable, and we all enjoyed Kenny’s stories and general warmth and good humour!!!

Don't miss this safari!

What a great time!! We were disappointed that we couldn't go on the lake as it wasn't frozen enough but we were given enough notice so we could adjust our expectations. We went through fields and forest, stopped to warm up by a fire and had a warm drink. The sleds were very fast and powerful. Kenneth and Anders were excellent guides and entertained us with fantastic stories while also educating us about life in Finland. We were provided with warm snowsuit, helmet, boots, balaclava and mittens if needed. Absolutely take this tour if you have the chance. It was too cold and windy to eat outside so Kenneth invited into his house and fed us with meat pies, sausage and more. Dessert was melted cheese with cloudberry jam. Delicious!!

This was an amazing experience. Kenneth is so hospitable and amusing! We felt so comfortable in his home and had a great time hearing all his stories. The weather was unusually warm, so the company had to adapt to no ice - and they did so while still making this a great day out. Lunch was great and so was the stop for warm drinks. Wi-Fi was a great bonus! I LOVE when pets are involved!

What an experience this was! Kenneth,Anders and Henrik were all amazing hosts and the experience as a whole was something we will never forget! The ice fishing was a cheeky experience too (no fish caught this time,but definitely next) and so was the kick sleds too! Can’t recommend highly enough and especially with BURN OUT CITY!!!

Fantastic day! We were scheduled to go on another tour (with another tour company) that was canceled at the last minute. Trip of a lifetime!

Probably one of the best tourist experiences we have ever done. We were picked up at the square and driven by Henrik to the base! And what a spot that is!!! Kenneth and Anders got us kitted out and showed us how to ride the snowmobile. And then the adventure really began as we circled islands and went through forests and watched fisher men. The best lunch followed! We sat at a fire pit in the middle of an island listening to wonderful tales of the local area. The team made this trip one to remember. Thank you.

The trip was well organised, we were picked up from out hotel as arranged, and taken to the base to get out thermal clothing. There were hot drinks along the way, then lunch a bit later, sat around a fire pit. You can also try ice fishing! . Al in all, great fun. Tuition prior to the door was informative and very well delivered. We were looked after from the moment of pick up from the hotel until drop off back to the hotel.
