Small-Group Surf Lessons in Gran Canaria

I had an amazing time with Surf Canaries surf school and would highly recommend it for beginners. The instructors are excellent at clearly explaining techniques and then helping you gradually apply them at your own level once you are in the water. Group sizes are small, which means you get plenty of individual attention and guidance throughout the session. A lot of thought has gone into structuring the classes, including well timed breaks where you can enjoy complimentary fruit, which is a really nice touch. The photos provided at the end are a lovely bonus and a great way to remember the experience. You do need to carry your surfboard to the beach, which is not far and actually adds a bit of extra fitness training. Both Marta and Dani were fantastic, supportive, patient, and encouraging, making the whole experience fun and confidence boosting.
