I was a little apprehensive when my wife booked my son and I on a PADI course. But this was the great opportunity of the holiday and I decided to go for it. We spent the first day in a pool, with all the wetsuit and gear on, learning to handle the aqualung and goggles underwater. We learned a lot of theory from our instructor who was really patient and engaged with the two of us. Next day we went to the beach and waded in, practising our skills. We wet gradually down to 12m depth and saw some amazing fish, colourful creatures and rock formations. We practised more skills. The third day we did more work from the beach, and really started to gain confidence in what we'd learned. Our instructor was impressed I think. The team at Blue Water Diving were excellent - a very lovely group of people who do what they say they're going to do and are very patient with their students. They are fully committed to making this YOUR experience and made sure that we had the knowledge to pass our PADI certification exams. I am going to go back for sure and enjoy more diving. Fabulous experience. My 16 year old son loved it too.
