Firstly, this review does not reflect the content of the tour nor the guide. Both were excellent value for money.
My issue is with the pick up and the terrible customer service I received afterwards from Viator.
A big draw for this tour was the hotel pick up. We were staying at Kumara Serenoa which is a little off the main road, next to a golf course. Excellent hotel.
I had selected the hotel as pick up and this was on the voucher. 9am on 24th feb 2024. So far so good.
At 19:44 on 23rd feb, I got a WhatsApp from the company stating the pick up would be 8:40 outside of a pharmacy 20mins walk away. This was very disappointing but too late to cancel so I got up earlier, had a rushed breakfast and made the trip.
In return I fed this back to Viator on live chat. The first person said this was not acceptable and he would request a refund.
I later got an email saying we were not getting a refund as we had an email 12 days before with the changes on. I searched my inbox, junk and deleted and no email. None of these had been emptied for some weeks.
I tried again with the live chat. I said I had not had an email. They said as the tour company told Viator they had sent it, I must have got it and nothing could be done. Basically calling me a liar.
I called the next day and the disinterested and robotic staff member said the same thing. When I said I had no email he started reading from a script. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he said someone would call me. No one called. I had a further email saying as I had been informed 12 days before nothing could be done. Again the inference being I was lying.
Before this I had a good experience with this company but would never book with them again due to the poor customer service, terrible staff attitude and lack of route to complain. I was not seeking a refund initially, merely giving feedback and was made to feel like I was trying it on. Plenty more companies out there to chose from.

They make u eat at a place you don’t want to eat they don’t speak you language
They are so so rude
Then drop you off not where they pick you up at
Find your own way back I want my money back they don’t even explain any sites just horrible
The visit to the banana plantation was really interesting and you got a free banana. Very good coach driver for those winding mountain roads. Great views.
Full day tour but so easy, lovely, comfortable and interesting! All stops were amazing! Guide is professional and unobtrusive. It was nice day with lots beautiful pictures!
Banana plants was the higlight. Short stops. Ok to go if you dont have anything else to do. Long driving time.
Excellent tour with right amount of stops throughout the day. I’d skip the lunch and enjoy the town if I did it again but it was very good value. The guide and driver were wonderful, lots to see, lots to learn and good fun.
The tour was excellent , thanks to the bus driver (in that hair rising roads???) and especially the tour guide Simon (unfortunately I didn’t get his last name) - he’s very friendly, knowledgeable about local histories and experienced. He even had to speak in 3 languages English, German & Spanish!
A fairly long coach trip but gave good overview of coastal contrasts . The guide was excellent , informative and very willing to answer questions . Helped that it is early March so group was small .
Very enjoyable. Views are fantastic, coach had sparkling windows which made our pics of fantastic quality.. Mic guy spoke in English and German (a bit too much information really). Stop points were great. Meal was so so. Worth the money.
Lovely independent lunch by sea in small village. Interesting to learn about bananas on visit to plantation. Morning trip to museum not thrilling, would have liked more time in capital.
Begonia was very knowledgeable and thoughtful the entire journey. We found out a lot of information and history from her. My partner is Spanish and even she was surprised to here some of the history of the island. Begonia provided two languages English and German. Don’t know how she coped. The driver Manolo well what can I say. He was plagued with thoughtless drivers and more building lorries I have every seen on very small roads. He was brilliant. Thank you both guys. We felt we were in safe hands and we definitely learnt a lot. Thanks Jan
Prachtig eiland ook niks aan te merken op de gids en de buschauffeur alleen sommige plaatsen te weinig tijd om te bezoeken zeker las palmas ook slechte communicatie wat het trefpunt betrof we werden van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd en bijna de bus gemist om de toer rond het eiland te doen.

ich schreibe Ihnen, um meine Unzufriedenheit mit der Tagesreise am 9.09. auszudrücken, die ich kürzlich über Ihr Reisebüro gebucht habe. Meine Freundin und ich haben an einer Tagesreise durch Gran Canaria teilgenommen, und leider entsprach die Erfahrung bei weitem nicht unseren Erwartungen. Ich glaube, es ist wichtig, die folgenden Probleme zur Kenntnis zu bringen:
Verspätung bei der Abfahrt: Wir wurden angewiesen, uns um 8:20 Uhr zu treffen und verbrachten etwa 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten damit, alle auf den Bus zu bringen. Dies war eine übermäßig lange Wartezeit und führte zu einem verzögerten Beginn unseres Tages.
Unzureichende Besichtigungszeit: Die für die Besichtigung an verschiedenen Orten zur Verfügung stehende Zeit war enttäuschend kurz. Wir hatten nur 20 Minuten an einigen Sehenswürdigkeiten, eine Stunde für das Mittagessen und eine halbe Stunde in Las Palmas. Diese Zeiträume erlaubten es uns kaum, die Ziele angemessen zu genießen und zu erkunden.
Mangelnde Transparenz: Das Werbematerial für diese Reise gab nicht klar an, dass ein erheblicher Teil des Tages im Bus verbracht würde. Diese mangelnde Transparenz machte die Reise für aktive Reisende weniger geeignet und erweckte den Eindruck, dass sie eher auf ältere Personen zugeschnitten war.
Unnötige Pausen: Es gab Pause für "Saft"-Stopps, die unnötig schienen und besser an den Sehenswürdigkeiten genutzt werden hätten können. Diese Unterbrechungen störten den Ablauf unseres Erlebnisses.
Restaurantwahl: Wir wurden angewiesen, in ein Restaurant zum Mittagessen zu gehen, nur weil Ihr Unternehmen mit ihnen verbunden ist. Die Qualität des Essens in dieser Einrichtung war unterdurchschnittlich, und es wäre wünschenswert gewesen, die Möglichkeit zu haben, woanders zu essen.
Unangemessene Pünktlichkeit: Während eines Zwischenstops musste ich die Toilette benutzen und kehrte zum Treffpunkt nur fünf Minuten zu spät zurück. Ich war schockiert zu erfahren, dass Ihr Vertreter, Tom, meine Freundin drängte, mich anzurufen und zu warnen, dass der Bus ohne mich abfahren könnte. Dies war unfair, insbesondere angesichts der längeren Wartezeit am Morgen.
Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Letztendlich, angesichts der Probleme, die wir erlebt haben, bin ich der Meinung, dass die Reise ihren Preis von 45€ nicht gerechtfertigt hat. Ich glaube, es sollte eine Form der Entschädigung oder Ermäßigung angeboten werden, um die Unannehmlichkeiten und Enttäuschungen auszugleichen, die wir an unserem Urlaubstag erlebt haben.
Zusätzlich möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass im Bus die Klimaanlage auf 19 Grad eingestellt war. Selbst wenn wir darum baten, die Temperatur zu erhöhen, wurde dies ignoriert oder nach kurzer Zeit wieder auf 19 Grad eingestellt, was zu einer unangenehmen Kälte im Bus führte.
Ich vertraue darauf, dass Sie unser Feedback ernst nehmen und diese Anliegen angehen, um die Qualität Ihrer Dienstleistungen zu verbessern. Wir hatten hohe Erwartungen an diese Tagesreise und wurden von unserer Gesamterfahrung ziemlich enttäuscht.
Ich bitte höflich darum, dass Sie auf diese Beschwerde so bald wie möglich antworten und eine Lösung für die aufgebrachten Probleme anbieten. Ich glaube, dass die Behebung dieser Angelegenheiten entscheidend ist, um den Ruf und das Vertrauen Ihres Reisebüros aufrechtzuerhalten.

EL tour esta muy bien documentado y es un recorrido por todo el borde de la isla. Nos hubiera gustado entrar mas en el centro de la isla y tambien tener mas tiempo en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Agaete si nos impresiono!
Tour moyen. Beaucoup de route pour peu d'arrêts. Les paysages sont superbes surtout le matin, mais manquent 1 ou 2 arrêts photos. L'arrêt à Las Palmas, Las Canteras est trop excentré, avec comme seul pôle d'intérêt un centre commercial ! Le tour devrait durer 1 ou 2 heures de plus pour être très intéressant et pas si fatiguant.
Zur Abholung aller Teilnehmer anfangs ziemlich viel herumgefahren, da wäre es schöner wenn man einfach 2-3 Abholorte festlegen könnte.
Die Tour an sich dann super, der Guide hatte viele Infos parat und hat alles super erklärt. In Las Palmas wäre etwas mehr Zeit schön gewesen.
