Overview
Take the wheel of a convertible Volkswagen Beetle and feel the island wind in your hair as you explore Gran Canaria. In a convoy of no more than 10 cars, you will follow your guide on a route in the interior of the island to discover the pine forests and valleys that most tourists miss. Halfway through the excursion, a traditional Canarian picnic is included.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day out, driving our Beetle though fantastic scenery with knowledge and friendly guide Alex.
The lunch time pit stop was in a lovely cafe, with simple but tasty food.

This was a very good day. We were picked up from our hotel in tauro at 7.15 and taken to pick up the cars. Driver on time and informative
The day finished at 3.15 and driver dropped us off in Maspalomas. If we wanted to go back to tauro he would get us a taxi at our cost. This was explained whilst booking. Some local areas get the drop off included.
Great day driving through the mountains with stops along the way for the views and take with the guide.
We had a brunch included at a local restaurant in the mountains. A lovely baguette with chicken cheese mayo. We had a choice of chicken or beef. Lovely coffee too.
We had another stop for coffee (at your cost if you wanted one)
You have to be a confident driver for this as the roads up and down the mountain are tight and very winding. It was a little hairising in places with lots of bikes and other cars wanting to overtake. Us as brits had to deal with driving left hand car, different side of road but it was worth it.
We went with friends and we had a fantastic day out and we would recommend and we would do it again

We made our own way by taxi to the meeting point as didn’t want to be on a long pick up with lots of hotels. Turned out only one other family so three cars including the guide who was very friendly and informative.
After filling in forms we got on our way in the Beetles which were manual left hand drive. Very nice car with smooth gears. Easy following the guide who waited for us at points we were behind. Stopped in half a dozen places including highest point on Gran Canaria and aloevera farm. Smooth roads and very scenic views. No awful mountain drops as all roads had barriers along edge. A few hair pin bends but just take it slowly. Hardly any traffic. Lunch in a local restaurant which was nice. Take a hat and drive in trainers so you can also walk up the rocky paths.
Well worth the reasonable price which includes lunch and pick up/drop off.

As professional as this tour company was and they really were, our tour guide made sure that he covered everything in various languages and was very informative, it was not as advertised,
Because they offer the off-road buggy tour too, we were picked up from our hotel in the scruffiest van imaginable inside, don’t wear white.
Although the convertible beetle was amazing, if your not a confident driver abroad this is not the tour for you.
It offers an island tour, it definitely is not.
You drive to their largest extinct volcano drive all the up one side and after making a few interesting stops you drive all the way back down, both ways in a car your not used to, a manual gear shift and on the wrong side of the road if your from the U.K like me and once you hit the volcano road your on the narrowest and most meandering road you can imagine, it’s literally like being on a rollercoaster, the final decent is apparently called the razors edge, it’s that bad.
Convertible cars are great as long as your not clenching your teeth and gripping to the steering wheel driving in 32 degrees without a hat, ( my fault) and the driving duration from start to finish was 7 hours.
My wife enjoyed it as a passenger because she could take in the views or cover her eyes.
Definitely not for the faint hearted.

Excellent trip, informative guide, great roads to drive on, even in the mountains it’s pretty warm.Brunch included.Thecars we’re in decent condition as well.Return to the hotel wasn’t included however our guide arranged a taxi for us.

The scenery was amazing and the guide was both informative and attentive.
The trip takes you into a picture postcard village where you have time to explore.
There are also stop off points along the route at interesting points.

Great way to see the middle of Gran Canaria
Our guide “Placido” was very informative and pointed out views you wouldn’t normally see
Plenty of short breaks where you could grab a drink or use the toilet
The lunch was a warm sandwich and drink - suited us
There are some hair raising roads but the pace is steady
Would certainly recommend this trip

After we were picked up at our hotel, we went to the base. With a friendly tourguide, cars that drove so smoothly and beautiful weather we were set to experience a great and memorable day. In Dutch we would say. Het was de moeite waard.

Sehr guter Guide. Freundlich, sehr entspannt.
Sehr entspannte Tour auf den höchsten Berg. Tolle Aussicht. Nette Stopps. Sandwich zum Mittagessen und Getränk.
Tolles Fahrgefühl. Auto fährt sich leicht. Ich hab leider eine Leitplanke bei Gegenverkehr in scharfer Kurve geschrammt. Damit sind alle von der Reiseveranstaltung Sehr ruhig und kompetent umgegangen. Keine Vorwürfe. War durch die Versicherung abgedeckt.
Tour hat Spass gemacht. Gut ausgesuchte Strecke.
Die Piraten sind sehr organisiert. Gute Zeitplanung und Management.

Die Cabrio Tour war wirklich einmalig. Man sitz selber am Steuer und nicht mit unzähligen anderen im Bus.
Unser Guide Placido hat uns sicher über die Insel und versteckten Orte geführt und uns vieles über die Insel erzählt.
