Worst tour ever

This was the worst tour experience I have ever had. I travel frequently and have taken many tours around the world, and this was by far the most disorganized and frustrating one. I chose this tour after reviewing several options online because it listed activities I was genuinely interested in—mainly beaches and forts. There was one activity I was not interested in (a snow park visit), but it was listed as the second activity of the day. I planned to leave the tour at that point and walk to a nearby beach (about a 10–15 minute walk). Based on this itinerary and plan, I booked the tour. I received confirmation stating that the tour bus would pick me up from my hotel at 9:00 AM the next morning. The next day, there was no communication by 9:00 AM. I called the number provided and was told they hadn’t contacted me because their server was down and they had not received my booking information from the previous night. Oddly, the person still knew my name, which made no sense if they truly hadn’t received my booking. I was then asked to walk to a bus stop about 10 minutes away, where the bus would pick me up. At 9:03 AM, the tour guide called and said the bus would arrive in 20 minutes. When no bus showed up, I called again at 9:40 AM and was told it would arrive in 5 minutes. The bus finally arrived at 10:06 AM—over an hour late. That’s when the real chaos began. When I boarded the bus, it was completely full. I was offered a seat next to the driver, which I refused, asking instead for a proper passenger seat. I was told that some people would get off at the next stop and I could take a seat then. For the next 20–30 minutes, I had to stand while the bus was moving (I was offered the bonnet to sit on, which I refused). At the next stop, there was more drama. A family refused to adjust their seating to make room for me. Eventually, the guide said I could move to another bus, which he claimed was doing the same tour. Since my only options were to sit on the bonnet or switch buses, I moved to the other bus. Once on the second bus, I was told that the rest of the group had already a to go and ‘see’ the beach) the beach and that I had only 20 minutes left. The beach was about a 10-minute walk from the parking area, so I literally ran to the beach, spent about 5 minutes there, and ran back. The beach was one of the main attractions for me, and I essentially missed it. At the next stop—a large fort—we were given only 40 minutes total. This included buying tickets (which took 10–15 minutes due to long lines) and walking to the fort (another 5 minutes). That left barely 15 minutes to rush through a massive fort. To make matters worse, the guide on the second bus informed me of two additional “random” stops: Thunder World (an electronics/theme park) and a wax museum. I was not interested in either. Entry tickets for these activities cost almost as much as the entire tour and were to be paid separately. I had deliberately avoided tours with these add-ons while booking. Since I refused, I was forced to sit on the bus doing nothing for nearly two hours while others visited these places. According to the itinerary on the website, each fort visit was supposed to be an hour long. In reality, we got about 20 minutes each. Also, having a snow park visit in Goa makes absolutely no sense. People don’t come to Goa for snow. At best, it could have been an indoor midday activity to escape the heat. If the tour had started on time at 9:00 AM, the schedule could have been sensible—outdoor activities in the morning, indoor activities and lunch during peak heat, and more outdoor activities later. Instead, because of the delays, we were rushed through outdoor sites during the hottest part of the day. Throughout all this, I called the office multiple times. They kept giving excuses, claiming the bus was running on a “new schedule,” that the website hadn’t been updated, and repeatedly tried to sell me the extra activities I had already declined. This tour was an absolute mess. It was a complete waste of a day, extremely poorly managed, and deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

Disappointed with the experience. The itinerary listed on the booking is very different to what we actually did. Firstly, the travel company didn’t tell us until 1 hour before about the pick up details (it’s not what you choose when booking) - we chose Candolim Hideout Resort but got picked up from Mickys Place. Then, we went to the Aguarda lighthouse and fort (30 minutes) - this also included Siquerim beach. We then went to Thunder Park, we originally said no to going and the guide convinced us it would be amazing, it was not- big waist of time (and this cost us 750 rupees for 2 people). We then went to “Vagator Beach,” this was a cliff top view, and we couldn’t actually get down to the beach. We spent a total of 45 minutes here, with nothing to do. We then had a 1 hour lunch break at 3pm - this was okay, clean and cheap. He then took us to a Wax Works / Aquarium experience, this is an additional 750 rupees per person, and not something the majority of the group wanted to do, and was also not listed on the booking description, so we wasted a further 1 hour here in the carpark. The snow park was listed, and seems okay, nothing amazing! Lastly, Baga Beach, by the time we got here it was dark, no sunset, no beach time, no relaxation. Everything always ran 10/15 minutes late, so we were constantly on the bus waiting. The tour is advertised as visiting lots of beaches, we physically only went to 1 and even that was brief as it was dark by then. I do not recommend wasting a day on this tour, it is also advertised as finishing at 5pm, but at 17:15 we still had 2 more stops…

Was staying at devaya resort for 7 days. contacted viator and agent travelsurity but did not got proper reply regarding pickup point so my day and money got wasted. dont think i will use viator again.

They charged so much extra.Bloody 100 rupee for 10 rupee MRP bottle. I didnt expect from visitor to onboard this kind of hotels. I lost so much of money without any service.
