Itinerary

Meet your guide at your Cairo hotel, and travel to the Old City in a private, air-conditioned van with WiFi on board. Start the day at the Mosque of Ahmad ibn Tulun, then continue on foot to Bab Zuweila, one of three surviving gates to 10th-century Fatamid Cairo. Trace a route down Muezz Street to Al Khayam Yah, where artisans have sewn ceremonial tents for weddings and celebrations since medieval times.
