Our three hour private tour was with Kristina. She was very nice, but didn’t have any type of program in mind for us. She showed up asking what “we wanted to see.” we responded with the “highlights” of Geneva. We started by taking a short boat ride across Lake Geneva to a park which we walked through. On our way to the Old Towne. She showed us some of the government buildings and told us a little bit of the history of Geneva (some of which we found out was incorrect on our tour following day! It felt a bit like we were wandering. Often when we’d ask a question, she would have to look the answer up on her mobile. We’ve taken a lot of private tours over the years, and would recommend that she have a repertoire of tours in mind so if a client is unfamiliar with Geneva she could have planned optional tours, she could outline for them to choose from. Ultimately, we felt rather bored.

Was an excellent walking tour around the city - we especially loved hearing about the protestant / calvinist history as well as seeing the cathedral and the old city replica.

Could have skipped the museum of science. Would have liked more time in Old Town. Did not seem to be a very experienced guide compared to others.

Our guide Rosa was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We walked up one side of Geneva and down the other, hitting all the highlights along the way. We particularly liked the Old Town and Rosa showed us all the interesting spots. This tour is a fun and time-efficient way to learn about Geneva and its history for those who like to walk. Rosa is an excellent guide and a nice person and we highly recommend her.

Niels was a terrific tour guide. He was very informative, energetic and made the trip like a dream. For those wondering whether to pay extra to take the cable car ride on Mont-Blanc and cog railway to the glacier cave the answer is definitely YES! My husband and I have taken many tours over the years and Niels is a 10 out of 10.

The guide wasn't really knowledgable. We could have followed the map and seen the same sitesor better. We tried to ask questions but her English wasn't that good. The tour was not the full 4 hours. She had better stories about her homeland then Geneva.

Our tour was actually quite disappointing. The longer we stay in Geneva, the more we realize how little was covered on this 5 hour tour. We expected a tour of the old town, however Phillip just took us to the Cathedral and then we immediately left the old town without seeing any other parts or hearing anything interesting about its history. We did not see the Armory, the Madeleine Chapel or the Reformation wall, did not hear any stories about the old town.
instead we spent hours walking along the waterfront and in the parks. When I asked about seeing the Broken Chair, Phillip said it is really boring and took us back to the waterfront.
We learned very little about the history Geneva and Switzerland.
When we returned to the hotel, i looked up what one would consider must see spots in Geneva and was disappointed in how little had been covered during the tour.
Today we went on a chocolate tasting tour with another company and the guide took us around the old town, and shared so much information about different buildings and their significance even though it was not the focus of today’s tour. She did not miss an opportunity to tell us something interesting about what we were walking by. Phillip on the other hand missed every opportunity. A good example-we walked by the mausoleum with him, he did not mention anything, whereas today we heard a very interesting story about it. I imagine there were countless other opportunities missed on sites and facts that should have been covered by Phillip yesterday.
i cannot with clear conscience recommend this tour or Phillip as a guide to anyone.

This was a custom private tour. As expected, we did a lot of walking during our 3 hours. Our guide enabled us to see several venues from Old Town to the Jet to the United Nations venue. She escorted us around on the convenient buses and a short boat ride. Without her assistance, we would not have seen as many venues so we were pleased with our experience.

I enjoyed walking around Geneva and reconnecting with the city. Our guide was very nice. It would have been better if our guide were more knowledgeable about the history of Geneva. I know the city well so could have figured out where things were located. We were really hoping for more of the history of the city and we didn't get that.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 8 hour walking tour with Jurabek. Jurabek is very knowledgeable and offered lots of insights into life in Geneva.
The tour was very comprehensive and as well as visiting all the main sights including Nations, Jet D'eau, The Flower Clock at Jardin Anglais, St Peter Catherdral in The Old Town, the Reformation Wall in Bastions Park, Place du Bourg du Four and Carouge he also showed me some hidden delights which gve me a real feel for the City.
Jurabek went out of his way to tailor the tour for me which was most appreciated. If you want to immerse yourself in Geneva or your don't have much time but don't want to visit only the usual tourist sites then I would recommend a private tour.

Before we had even started our tour, Simon had personalized it for us. He enthusiastically shared the convoluted history of Geneva as we walked along the lake, over the bridge and up into the heart of Old Town. We did appreciate the elevator, Simon! Our knowledgeable guide helped us understand the many influences that have shaped the city - the medieval period, its Italian and French periods, the impact of John Calvin and the Reformation, the culture that nurtured the Red Cross, the League of Nations and the U.N. The scale model of Geneva around 1855 - 18 years in the making - was of particular interest! It was obvious that Simon loves his adopted city and wanted to share it with us. Thank you for a memorable tour of this beautiful and international city!
