I paid for an English speaking tour guide and our guide didn’t speak English! He just pointed at his phone with instructions that someone had previously typed for him. It took 10 minutes to figure out when lunch was scheduled. He skipped attractions that were supposed to be part of the tour. He also cut the tour time down by 1 1/2 hours. I do not recommend using this company for your tour of the cliffs.

My Brother and I visited Dublin for the first time on 15th August 2023 for two nights.
Having never visited before, we did not know where to go for drinks on the evening.
We searched through Viator and found this Epic Pub Crawl Experience. It sounded great.
We purchased our tickets on 12th August 2023.
On 15th August 2023, we looked forward to the event all day. We arrived at the first bar promptly at 8pm (The Wool Shed, The Parnell Centre, 198-200, Parnell St, Centre, Dublin, D01 K5N8, Ireland).
We waited outside patiently for 15 minutes.
However, Ricardo Machado (the tour operator) never turned up.
We tried ringing him on +351911172045. He never answered.
We tried contacting him via WhatsApp. He never responded.
We sent him messages via Viator Chat. He never replied.
We spent most of the night communicating with agents from Viator, Jessa and Jerrick David. They tried calling Ricardo Machado, but confirmed he was unresponsive.
We did not know whether to stay or leave. We kept asking Viator for confirmation that if we left, we’d receive a full refund. Viator just kept saying the event had not been cancelled and to contact Ricardo Machado.
We spoke with the doorman of The Wool Shed. He confirmed the tour usually gathers outside the venue, but Ricardo Machado had not turned up that evening. We also spoke with the Manager of The Wool Shed. He advised Ricardo Machado would always confirm if a tour was going ahead, but he hadn’t heard from him that day.
We received no communication to let us know the pub crawl had been cancelled. We frantically tried all methods of communication to get in touch with Ricardo Machado. He never responded at all. Even a week later he has not responded to apologise or let us know what happened.
It completely spoilt our first night in Dublin. We waited until 10:30pm before giving up.
Despite being promised a refund on 15th August 2023, we had to chase this up on 18th August 2023. Mary Joy at Viator apologised and escalated matters to Paul. We have spent hours on Viator Chat, fighting for our refund. We’ve been told we need to wait a further seven working days.
Overall, therefore, it has been a bad experience from start to finish.
If we had been told the tour was cancelled, we could have planned something else with our limited time. It would have taken Ricardo less than two minutes to let us know, but would have saved us over two hours on the evening (and further time since).
We had hoped that Ricardo was just running late, but were so disappointed when no-one turned up. It was very frustrating.
We would not recommend this tour to anyone.
We now wished we had booked onto Dublin’s ‘Generation Pub Crawl’ instead.

No one showed up to do the tour. Had a pint at the starting spot and went on my own. Not quite what I paid for
