Itinerary

After pickup from your Dubai hotel, set off by air-conditioned vehicle to discover Dubai.

Follow Dubai Creek to the Al-Fahidi heritage quarter, where Persian merchants settled during the 1800s. See the wind towers and courtyards, and chart Dubai’s history at Dubai Museum, housed in 18th-century Al-Fahidi fort.

Ride an abra boat—a traditional, pre-oil boom mode of transport in Dubai—across the creek to Deira. Stroll around the Gold Souk and Spice Souk, and hone your haggling skills with help from your guide.

Next, delve into the newer, better-known Dubai: the city of skyscrapers and futuristic architecture. See the royal Zabeel Palace and mini-Manhattan skyscrapers along the Sheikh Zayed Road, and pass Ski Dubai at the Emirates Mall before driving around Palm Jumeirah.

Take photos by the island’s Atlantis The Palm hotel and nearby Burj Al-Arab, and visit the Blue Mosque to admire its Ottoman-inspired architecture. Then, explore downtown Dubai, admiring Dubai Mall and the spectacular Burj Khalifa, the world’s highest tower.

Finish by enjoying a Dubai Fountain sound-and-light show, watching as the multi-colored jets dance to dramatic music. Your tour ends back at the original start point.

Great guide and informative tour.

Overall this was a very good tour. We chose the afternoon because many attractions are closed in the morning on Friday. The boat ride across the river and tour of the Souks was great. We toured inside a Mosque. The guide and driver were both very nice and informative. The only disappointment was the tour was scheduled to start at 2 pm, but we did not get picked up until 3pm, which would have been fine, but it got dark before the tour was completely finished. Overall though, I have used Viator several times and have been satisfied with the tours.

Ali, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He explained in a clear manner every important aspect of Dubai and its culture.
