Amazing Views and Challenging yet Invigorating Experience

What an unforgettable experience! The Boiling Lake hike, complete with hot springs and a gorge swim, was everything I hoped for and more. The full trek clocked in at just over 7 hours — challenging, scenic, and absolutely worth every step. I'll be honest: I hadn't done any serious hiking in about 8 years, so this was no small feat for me. But our guide Dylan made all the difference. He was genuine, knowledgeable, and fun — constantly sharing fascinating insights about the trail while keeping the energy high and the group motivated. He has a natural ability to make a tough hike feel like an adventure rather than a workout. If you're visiting Dominica and considering this excursion, don't hesitate — just book it. Ask for Dylan. You won't regret it!

Beautiful park, beware the weather conditions!

This park is beautiful and has immense potential, but the experience fell short due to hazardous conditions and a lack of transparency. It had rained for three days prior, leaving the trail a slippery, muddy, and dangerous mess. Because it was still raining during the hike, I only lasted 30 minutes before having to turn back for safety. While the guide was nice and experienced, I was disappointed that the actual trail conditions weren't communicated beforehand. Had I known the hike would be a "muddy mess," I would have canceled. Excellent customer service would have involved a weather warning or a partial refund. The real MVP was the woman selling entrance tickets; she was incredibly helpful and assisted me in finding an alternative tour so my day wasn't wasted. Potential hikers should understand that this operator will go out in any weather and will not warn you if conditions are poor. This is strictly an intermediate hike, not for beginners. I would try this again, but only under significantly better weather circumstances.

This hike was very challenging but Dylan took great care of us and was extremely patient. We loved that we got to experience not only the boiling lake but also a beautiful hot spring and the Titou gorge. I would highly recommend booking with Dylan if you're interested in visiting the boiling lake.

The hike can be exhausting in the rain but it is worth it. The boiling lake is a natural phenomenon. Dylan is a great guide to enjoy the hike and learn more about the island.
