It was a joy to experience "The Nature Island" with native "Big Momma" as our guide. His love for the island and its people was evident. Swimming into Titou Gorge was fun and snorkeling the Champagne Reef was amazing. At each of these, we had another experienced guide. Along the way, we learned about the flora and fauna of beautiful Dominica. Thanks to the whole crew!

We got rained on in the rain forest! The hot springs were great. The gorge was beautiful but freezing water. Need to be a strong swimmer. It is a long day with no stops for lunch, just snacks to buy.

Best day of our cruise

We had four other islands stops prior to Dominica and did an excursion on all. Part of the reason we enjoyed this one was we were taken up into the mountains where it was much cooler. The AC in our van was perfect, so much so, one of the passengers had to ask for it to be turned off. Titou Gorge falls were the high light. We went here first, which I was not excited about at first because it was early in the day in the mountains and the water was cold, however it turned out to be perfect because nobody else was there. Since there were only three of us, we had the place all to ourselves. Bring your camera. The rest of the trip was just OK but very relaxing. The snorkeling was fun but not the best I’ve seen. Also wanted to add, our drive was awesome. He was not like some of the crazy drivers we’ve had that make you scared half to death or get you sick. Unfortunately, neither of us can remember his name, but it started with the letter J.

Good tour & guide, some aspects were underwhelming

We loved the Ti Tou Gorge on tubes. The botanical garden was underwhelming. Champagne reef was closed.

Wonderful tour taking in many iconic sights at your leisure - Perfect for cruise ship day trippers

We arrived by cruise ship so only had limited time to the sample the delights spectacular Dominica. This tour takes in some great 'must see' sights in a calm and relaxed manner. There were just the three of us with a wonderful tour guide/driver who showed us the sights. The rocks on the beach at Champagne Reef are on the pointy side, rather than smooth rounded pebbles; so make sure you have something to walk on (flip flops/sliders will do fine). It wasn't obvious where to swim out to at Champagne Reef but not to worry as our guide simply got in the water and led the way! We used out own snorkelling gear at Champagne Reef. Trafalgar Falls were lovely and we had fun scrambling on the rocks below. Loved the local fruits sampling - a really enjoyable stop off along the way. TiTou was another stunning location, once again led by our very own Aquaman! Hiring of buoyancy aids was mandatory here ($3 USD) Chilled refreshments were provided which was a nice touch. Tour does not include entry fees to to some locations but they were nominal and it was made clear at time of booking. Our trip was booked through Viator and fulfilled by chic-hospitality.

Amazing waterfalls.

Swimming in Titou falls was amazing. The view at trafalga falls great. It was a treat to stop at the local fruits sampling table. Sulfur spring a good quick stop. Champagne beach was rocky but a nice way to end the day. It is a lot of twisty roads but a comfortable small van. Wear good walking/water shoes.

Geplatzte Tour auf Dominica

Unser Ausflug ist leider komplett ins Wasser gefallen. Wir waren pünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt, statt einem Guide mit einer gelben Weste waren gefühlt 20 dort. Es wurde auch kein Informationsschild mit dem Anbieter oder dem Namen der Tour hoch gehalten. Wir sind umher geirrt haben mehre Leute angesprochen aber keiner konnte uns was sagen. 20 Minuten nach der vereinbarten Zeit hat dann die nette Dame der Touristischen Information unseren Tourgide angerufen der frech behauptet hat wir wären nicht am Treffpunkt da gewesen. 2,5 Stunden später würde uns ein Ersatzfahrer für die Tour abholen. Nach 2,5 Stunden hieß es wir müssen den Ersatzfahrer selber bezahlen, was wir abgelehnt haben. Wir bekommen wohl unser Geld zurück, sind aber super enttäuscht weil der Tag versaut war.
