Amazing tour - Rude Tourists.

This tour was fantastic, and a lot of fun. MISHAL our guide was friendly, informative, safe driver and easy going - he was brilliant. The ATVs were a blast. It was very much - “here’s your bike have fun” - so you had the freedom to dune bash for the 30 mins. Then onto the camel ride (great pic op), and dune bashing, before visiting the isolated desert lake for some sand boarding, before the drop off to the meeting point. I had a great day. The only bad thing - was the x3 other passengers. Arriving 45 minutes late to the pick up point. X2 Wearing Short shorts and singlet tops in public during Ramadan. Each one on their phones in the back seat watching seperate Instagram and TikTok videos on full volume the whole time, even during jeep dune bashing. Talking and shouting loudly at each so each one could be the loudest in the car, arguing that they “don’t speak the language” and demanding to be dropped back at their hotel - which was not included in their booking - it was just crazy and so rude. HATS OFF and respect to Mishal who handled it very well - trying to drown them out with car music, and checking I was ok in the front seat having to listen to them, lol. THIS IS NOT TO DETER YOU FROM THE TOUR, as the tour is GREAT.. but to hopefully make some people realise - if you book these kind of tours, remember to respect those around you, respect the destination and culture you’re travelling to, and if you want to treat it like it’s a “privilege” to have you on the tour - book something private, so everyone else doesn’t need to hear you, your phone, or your obnoxious conversations.

While the actual tour was good fun, and Tariq was a nice guide, we were super-stressed by his driving on the highway to the dunes and back. The dune bashing itself was great and of course, its meant to give us the thrills and that was all good.. However, Tariq's driving on the highway and back which is quite a distance from the city of Doha, felt extremely unsafe due to his breakneck speed combined with the weaving and being within inches of the car in front. We whizzed and weaved past most other cars on the highway and it was worse when he spoke on the phone often, while still at the same speed. The overall experience felt diminished solely because of this aspect and shadowed the fun of the activities. In the below question, I say that I would not recommend the tour onky because of that one element.
