Overview
Escape the city of Doha for the deserts of Qatar on this private safari and adventure tour. Travel by 4-wheel drive along the coast and into the dunes, where your driver will maneuver sideways down the dunes. Here you can try sandboarding on the dunes or enjoy a camel ride for an additional fee. Visit the Khor Al Adaid inland sea and relax at a desert camp. The half-day desert tour was unforgettable—camel riding, ATVs, and sand dune surfing were all a blast. Our guide Aref made the whole experience even better. Super cool guy, very friendly, and really made us feel comfortable and excited throughout the day.
I’d 100% recommend this tour, and definitely ask for Aref!

The dune bashing was quite fun.
The camel ride was short but this was already stated, so as expected.
The 20 minutes quad driving turned into a 15 minutes one once we were there. Instructions were not so clear (for me) so I lost some time finding the correct tracks. When I came back after 16 minutes, some guy from the rental service already came out looking for me. Didn't feel welcoming.
The Inland Sea Beach is misleading. We went to a beach, yes, about 20 km away from the Inland Sea. But I doubt that the Inland Sea beach would have been much different, so I'm not mad - but still misleading.
The desert is full of trash. The government should do something about that.

Our guide was friendly and professional and a skilled driver. We had a vehicle to ourselves, however the whole experience was rushed and not what I was expecting. The camel ride in particular was aweful. Just a few camels on the side of the road, get on, walk 20 metres, picture taken, get off. I felt aweful for the poor animals and wished we had skipped this activity.

Pretty fun experience. Took about 4 hours total. I’d recommend doing it in the morning as you can knock it out and still be back to do other things. The camel ride is *very* short, probably 2-3 minutes if that. The sand boarding is also only one time down a hill & that’s it. I’d say the majority of the time (apart from the 40-45 min each way drive) is the driver sand duning (which can lead to motion sickness be prepared) as well as the ATVing. All in all, for the price it was really fun and I’d recommend.

Tariq our guide cum driver is a licensed driver for off road desert sand dunes.
Very skill handling of the Land Cruiser and with grace and speed combined
Camel ride was short and sweet but then with temperature hitting 43 deg C, who’s complaining !

I wasn't sure this tour was exactly what I wanted to do but I wanted to see the inland sea where the dunes meet the water. However, I'm pleasantly surprised by how thoroughly I enjoyed every activity! Taj Mohammad was the best guide, always contentious of how everyone in the group was feeling. He made sure every guest enjoyed themselves and felt comfortable. I was interested in seeing the sunset in the desert and Taj was happy to oblige. The quad bikes, camel ride, and sandboarding were such fun, unique experiences in beautiful settings. The dune bashing was such a thrill! Definitely book this tour when you come to Doha!

It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. My favorite part was sunset and dune bashing. I didn’t try ATV but one of my companion did and said it was very short. Also the camel ride vas extremely short, it lasted 5-10 min max. And it felt like a tourist trap.
All in all it was a good experience!

Wadood was our tour guide and he took great care of us from start to finish. He kept checking up on us to see if we were enjoying the excursions and was patient. The off road safari was our favorite. We got to experience sand surfing and caught the sunset. Wadood took pictures of us which was very nice. I would highly recommend this company. Definitely worth It!!

We had an amazing time on our desert safari outside Doha, and our guide Taj Mohammed made the experience unforgettable. From the exciting dune bashing to the peaceful camel ride and fun sandboarding, every moment was well-organized and full of adventure.
Taj was professional, friendly, and great with our whole family—he made sure we were safe, comfortable, and having a blast. Highly recommend this tour, and if you can, ask for Taj. He truly made the trip special!

As a solo female traveler, I was 8 minutes late due to traffic but communicated my delay. Even shared my live location and had the taxi driver call. Despite this, upon arrival, Iqbal yelled in my face, refused to let me join in his car, and left me in tears, even though another tour operator at the same spot waited for guests who arrived much later. Thankfully, my taxi driver stayed with me until a kind new operator arrived. Being berated like that in public and alone felt horrible. I would have rather the company cancelled and lose my money than face such treatment.
Solo travelers, beware. Make sure you have a kind tour operator.

This was amazing ! We did a private pick up. Our drivers name is Sabzail khan. He showed us the city and showed us where the museums and sightseeing places were on the way to the desert.
We first started with the ATVs. Too be honest , I was a little disappointed because the ATVs only goes on a couple of its own dirt tracks. It’s more like for beginners or not aggressive drivers. Like chill mode. You are on your own. So we went back and upgraded from the ATVs to their dune buggies. The difference between the two is with their dune bugs you can take them on the desert and ride up sand mountains . This was worth it.
Then we went next to go see the camels. We decided to pass and go straight to sandboarding. On the way to sand board he drives up the desert and goes up and down the hills. This was pretty cool and intense. Don’t recommend it for people that get motion sickness. We did the sand boarding and it was fun. Right after we took pictures and went to see the Persian gulf. This was a great experience. I recommend this for groups or couples. Don’t be cheap, and get the dune buggies. The ATVs are okay but just doesn’t have the same adrenaline feeling and you’re not driving them on the desert like the dune buggies. Thanks again Sabzail. Much appreciated. Safeer was an AMAZING guide! He was prompt and allowed us to have tons of fun without rushing us. He gave us thrills riding through the desert keeping us entertained from one stop to the next. What a fantastic tour made by our driver Salbzali Khan.
We left the city to start the tour on quad bikes, Sabzali give us interesting local information on the drive. After quad bikes we had a camel ride which was great. We then went onto the sand dunes which was
exhilarating. Then to the beach to finish the tour. All the way through the tour Salozali was professional and made sure we had drinks and check we were ok. He was great and made the trip extra special. |
