This was a great experience! The guide was one of the best we've ever had on Viator. He was kind, friendly, and knew a lot about the ruins and surrounding areas. Moreover, he didn't rush us and made sure to offer to take pictures. We would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them for an amazing experience!
Great communication with the tour company. confirmed and explain all of the itenerary and what to expect. We had Freddy as our Guide and Richard as our driver. They drove us safely into each destination. Freddy explained everything and was kind enough to take FANTASTIC photos! He is also knowledgeable in Incan history and local knowledge. They were so kind enough to drop us off at our next hotel at the end. Would Recommend booking with them!
Abe was our guide and Willy was our driver. They were both great and we loved all the spots we visited. The highlight for us was Chinchero where we learned about the weaving process. We bought some sweaters there too!
We loved this full day tour which included the key Sacred Valley sites at Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray and Maras. Pablo was a brilliant guide, knowledgeable, informative, friendly and helpful. He spoke excellent English and gave detailed historical background information at each site. He looked after us very well and was also happy to go at our slow pace as we were acclimatising to the altitude. We had a very comfortable and spacious minivan for the 4 of us, and Edgar was an excellent and very safe driver. We highly recommend this tour.

Booking a private tour right from our arrival at the Cusco airport was unequivocally the best decision we could have made for our Sacred Valley experience. From the moment our driver, Jose-Luis, and our incredibly knowledgeable guide, Abraham, greeted us at the arrivals terminal, the logistics were entirely stress-free. Jose-Luis expertly navigated the winding, high-altitude Andean roads, ensuring a flawlessly smooth and comfortable ride all day. This allowed us to simply relax and soak in the towering peaks and lush landscapes outside our window.
Our first stop was an absolute highlight: a local sanctuary farm where we had the joy of interacting with four different breeds of llamas and alpacas. Feeding them handfuls of barley was not only entertaining but a surprisingly peaceful way to begin our journey and connect with the local environment. From there, we headed to the staggering ruins of Pisac. Abraham truly made the archaeological site come alive. Rather than just reciting dates, he shared a beautiful, story-driven history, walking us through the deep significance of the sprawling agricultural terraces and ancient Incan engineering.
Next, we ventured to the stunning Maras Salt Mines. Seeing thousands of geometric salt pools cascading down the mountainside is completely breathtaking. Abraham explained both the fascinating historical origins of the site and how local community families still actively manage and harvest the salt today using methods passed down through generations. We took advantage of the market stalls there to pick up some incredible local pink and black salt to use in our own cooking back home.
Our day’s cultural immersion extended perfectly into an incredible lunch in the living Incan town of Ollantaytambo. We decided to lean into the local gastronomy and were rewarded with an amazing meal at Uchucuta - service and food are out of this world! We tried wonderfully prepared alpaca meat and traditional cow's heart—both were absolutely delicious and a culinary memory we won't soon forget.
We capped off the afternoon with a steep but rewarding hike up to the Temple of the Sun at the Ollantaytambo fortress. Standing among the massive pink granite monoliths was awe-inspiring. Abraham provided yet another wonderful, in-depth explanation of how the Incas transported these massive stones across the valley to build this sacred site. If you want a perfectly paced, deeply educational, and incredibly fun exploration of the Sacred Valley, I cannot recommend Abraham and Jose-Luis highly enough.
We had an absolutely incredible time! This is so worth the full day. Learned so much about the history and culture of the Inca people. It was so fascinating. I don’t think we would’ve been able to make all those stops on our own Our guide Pablo was amazing. His English was excellent and he is so knowledgeable. If you can request him, I would definitely would! one of the best guides we’ve had abroad.

This was a very well rounded tour of major archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley. We were picked up on time and had an amazing time throughout the day. As a traveler in a new area, it felt very good to have a local guide that was extremely familiar with all the areas. They grew up here and it showed, both in their confident understanding of navigation, as well as their knowledge about when to go where, what routes to take, and how to maximize the time that we're given.
If we had planned better, we would have liked to have a second tour of the rest of the valley with them. We're grateful for their time and would highly recommend.
We had an amazing tour through the Sacred Valley! Our guide Jackeline was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history and culture of Peru. Every stop was well organized, and we learned so much about the Inca sites and local traditions. The attractions (fortresses, terraces, the hilltop village and the salt pools) are absolutely breathtaking, and the pace of the tour was perfect—not rushed, with plenty of time to explore and take photos. Transportation was comfortable, our driver Will was very good at driving safely; everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Peru. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip!
Fantastic experience with Juan Pablo! Bring about 110 soles in cash for the entrance fees. We loved seeing all the sites with easy transport.
Highly recommend this tour! Our driver and tour guide, Sam, were great and went above and beyond to show us around and help us even with stuff not listed on the tour, such as helping us change our train tickets and giving us an herbal spray to help with our altitude sickness. Sam taught us a lot about the history of each spot and went at an easy pace/let us take lots of rests. This tour also takes you to each spot at the least busy time of day so that you can get great photos at each spot and not deal with crowds.
Private tour with Cusco Local Friend was INCREDIBLE. Far beyond what I expected. We got a super experienced anthropologist-biologist-geologist-historian-psychologist-photographer who was disguised as our tour guide! Abraham was an absolute LEGEND. He knew what the other tour companies were doing and arranged our day to run counter to those activities - basically, a crowded day seemed pretty empty to us by him avoiding the competition. GENIUS. He pointed out so many little things in an excited and enthusiastic manner that was simply irresistible. We learned SO much about the context in which these monuments were built and abandoned. We learned about the people and what they value, how they make a living, and what traditions they bring to the forefront every day. Abraham is clearly SO spectacularly educated, and he was also so enthusastic about sharing his love for his country.
It was a generously timed trip, with a fantastic lunch, and filled with so many facts that you would NEVER get from any book or large tour. Abraham made us feel so special and taken care of as well. He listens so well and is extremely observant about what we needed. He's done the Inca Trail 200x+ and other long and physically strenuous tours so it may have been overkill to have such a super experienced guide for the sites we visited - but it made me feel so safe to be in his care.

Good tour but after seeing Machu Picchu it honestly felt like more of the same without the wow factor that Machu Picchu brings

This was a great day. The driver was very safe and the car was spotless and comfortable. The guide was very informative and knew a lot about Peru and the area. They were very easy to communicate with and adjusted the schedule to fit our needs. Highly recommend.
We went on the trip with Tomas as our tour guide and Edgar as our driver. Both of them are amazing! Tomas is very knowledgeable and funny, also super accommodating. Highly recommend.
Juan Pablo was an excellent guide. We did the tour in Spanish and he spoke clearly so it was easy to follow. He was our best guide by far with plenty of good detailed information. He also called back to earlier questions later in the tour. I highly recommend touring with him if possible.
Our day started out with an on-time pick-up at our hotel in Ollantaytambo and a tour of the architectural site in Ollantaytambo.
Sam was our tour guide. He was awesome. Very friendly, provided lots of interesting information, and had a great sense of humor. His English was perfect and he was very accommodating and patient with our family of four 60-year-olds. We never felt rushed.
The day continued with Moray, the Maras Salt Mines, and Pisac - all very unique and interesting sites. On the way to view Pisac, we stopped at a great sandwich shop for a late lunch. Our last stop was at an Alpaca factory, where we got to feed the alpaca and shop for some wonderful alpaca souvenirs.
Our driver for the day was Willy. He was very kind and a skilled driver. We felt safe with him behind the wheel and his van was very comfortable and clean.
They dropped us off at our hotel in Cusco. Sam and Willy were very kind and carried most of our luggage up the tall stairs at the entrance of our hotel. They went above and beyond. Very awesome service!

This was an awesome tour of the Sacred Valley with visits to all the places in the books. A guide and driver were 5 star and picked a great Peruvian restaurant for lunch.
Our day was fabulous and I think that folks who skip the Sacred Valley, doing only a day trip to Machu Picchu really are missing a lot.
We had a great time visiting the sacred valley. Our guide, Ferdinand was great. He spoke good English and was very informative about all of the sites we visited. They were prompt on picking us up from our hotel and very professional. We would highly recommend this tour. There is alot of up and downhill walking so you need to be pretty fit and ready for the elevation.
We had such an amazing day with Pablo! He knew so much history about the sacred valley, as he grew up around urumambe and his father’s farm is in the area. We felt like the trip was well worth the money and that we knew everything about Peru coming out of the tour. We would highly recommend this agency and Tour group! Thank you for an amazing day Pablo!

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Pablo was on time, so knowledgable, brought us to local stores and gave us recommendations for our trip. The sacred valley tour could be logistically challenging, getting from town to town, but this tour took away all the potential stress. It was SO nice to be able to have a private experience and we left with such a better understanding of both the Incan ruins (which helped us to appreciate Machu Picchu and Cusco so much more) and current day local culture and cuisine. This tour was a highlight of our Peru trip!
We basically had a private tour with Pablo who was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us being slow on our first day at high altitude. He was very flexible and tailored the tour to our requests and we never felt rushed. Our driver was also excellent and kept our belongings safe and cleaned the car interior between each stop. All of the stops were enjoyable and we learned a lot about the local history and culture. Of note tour might be a bit longer than the allotted 8 hours depending on how you’re feeling. Would definitely recommend Pablo and this tour to friends!
The guide Pablo and Driver Edgar were excellent. The tour is simple with only a bit of walking. Pablo seems to know everyone, which made it extra fun.

This is an AMAZING Tour. It hits all the best of Sacred Valley. First of all, our guide Ferdinand and driver Willy arrived precisley on time at our hotel, in a van that was meticuously clean and new. Ferdinand, was like having an talking encyclopedia at yor disposal. He was patient with our walking pace due to the high altitudes encouraging us to rest as much as we wanted. He was never in a hurry and and allowed us plenty of time at each stop. He also took as many photos as we wanted. Every tour guide should have the knowledge adn demeanor as Ferdinand. Willy was an extremely capable and safe driver.
