Driver/guide spoke very little english, could not really explain what we saw according to the itinerary
He was a good tuk tuk driver though!

Fernando really looked after me and showed me all the sights - maritime museum, the lighthouse, the gem shop (which was actually worth a visit just try on some colourful stones... a girl can dream). He also took me to an amazing local place for rice and curry.
He was watching over me when I was chatting to the 'so called gardener' from Victoria Park too so felt he really had my back. (Tip for anyone - the gardener was informative but was just after some money and he wasn't the real gardener!).
Lastly I left my water bottle and shirt in the back of the tuk tuk and he brought it all the way back for me! He's a star!

Just fun whizzing about Colombo. Our guide hit all the mentioned stoped as advertised and a few more reflecting out personal interest. He even gave us a wee tuk tuk driving lesson on a quiet back road. We never felt rushed and were happy with the experiences offered. Lunch was delicious.
