Elafonisi’s famous pink sand is a natural phenomenon created by tiny crushed seashells mixed with white sand. The pink colour is subtle and varies from day to day depending on light, weather, tides and the time of year. It is usually most visible in small patches near the waterline rather than across the entire beach. The sand appears at its pinkest in ideal lighting conditions, particularly on bright, sunny days.

Great beach but very expensive to rent the chairs on the beach. Great guide. Town of Mykonos was beautiful to walk and eat.

Cretes Pink Wonder is not pink.

Driver Manos was exceptional. Beach is beautiful but not at all pink as advertised. Very disappointing as was advertised as cretes pink wonder.

Driver Jacob was very nice, professional. Took us to fabulous authentic Greek restaurant. Vehicle was very comfortable. Elafonissi Beach was gorgeous!! I do wish we had been told to bring towels, etc due to limited availability of rental beach chairs and umbrellas. Gorgeous scenery!!

This was the perfect way for cruise ship passengers to enjoy Elafonissi beach. The pickup was easy and right at the port and we even got extra time at the beach! Then drop off was right at the port as well.

Unbelievable experience. Our driver was fantastic and worked with us to get the most out of the experience. We were able to see and do everything we wanted while getting back to the cruise port on time. This was our favorite port because of this experience!

Our driver was amazing but this trip is not worth the cost and drive. Maybe its different outside of peak season, but this beach was so crowded you could hardly find a place to put a towel down and was hardly even pink. It was not worth the drive at all and i would not recommend (at least during peak season). Our driver took us to the best little lunch spot on the way back though!

Elafonisi Beach Adventure

We traveled from Chania to Elafonisi Beach. Our driver Costas was outstanding. He safely navigated the twists and turns of the mountain roads and treated my wife and I with kindness and courtesy. At the beach entrance, Costas provided us with beach mats, an umbrella, bottled water and snacks. On the way home, Costas helped us pick an authentic restaurant for coffee and authentic savory snacks and sweets. We enjoyed the trip very much. Because of Costas, the trip to and from the beach was as enjoyable as seeing the turquoise water in a beautiful spot.

This tour was amazing. Our tour guide did an excellent job of taking us to the best spots in town and explaining everything. He allowed us plenty of time to get some shopping in too. Highly recommended.
