Lion’s Head offers glorious 360-degree views across Cape Town, particularly at sunrise and sunset, with steep terrain requiring a guide and headlamp for safe descent. This intimate small-group tour is limited to 6 people and includes hotel pickup and your choice of 2-way transfers, drop-off only, or no transfers at all. - Have a warm top it can get a little chilly at the peak after sunset.

- Important to have a small camel-bag to be able to store your water bottle.

Had a lovely sunrise hike with Andy. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We were the first to make it to the top and had prime seats for the majestic sunrise. Absolutely breathtaking. Would recommend it to anyone looking for some adventure in CPT. Worth the early wake up!

Patrick was amazing! Very knowledgeable, experienced, funny at times, and knows when to pause for breaks. We were just 3…and so more info could be taken in. Highly recommend Patrick as a tour guide. This hike is a must do if you like Sunsets or Sunrises from atop a hill. A few things of note…it takes about -4 hours up and down (including breaks). There NO bathrooms at the foot of the hill, enroute, or at the top…plan accordingly. Layers, and headlamp are helpful although Patrick carried extras in his bag…just in case.

Lion's Head is truly a special experience, especially at sunrise or sunset when the views over Cape Town are at their most spectacular. Thank you as well for sharing those helpful tips for future hikers regarding the duration, facilities, and the importance of bringing layers and a headlamp.
Safety and comfort are always a priority, which is why I carry a few extra essentials just in case they're needed. It was a pleasure hiking with such a great small group, and I'm glad having only three participants allowed for a more personal experience.

This guided sunset hike to Lions Head and back was definitely one for the books! Patrick is extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the routes and ensured that everyone with us was comfortable. Although the hike itself was slightly difficult for beginner hikers because of the other route being closed at the time, it was such a fun challenge that all of us thoroughly enjoyed. The views were INCREDIBLE and definitely worth it, even after the sunset as we trekked back in the dark with headlamps. We truly gained a great perspective of the city and are so grateful for such a memorable experience! Thank you so much :D

If we could choose more than 5 stars we would rate it 10. Lets start from the beginning, Patrick picked us up right on time, he guided us to an awesome adventure to the top of the lion’s head mountain making the climb enjoyable and entertaining as you couldn’t imagine. He did take care of us all time and it was pleasantly surprising us with coffee and tea at the summit while watching the stunning sunrise and the 360 deg view of the entire Cape Town city.
We highly recommend this trekking with Patrick.

Frank picked us up from our hotel and took us to signal hill to start the hike. We met with another hiker, got our torches set up and we set off. The first half is quite sedate, but then you get into scrambling and ladders. It was fun and when the sun came up the views were amazing, especially with the way the light was playing with the heavy fog that was around. Finished with a warm cup of coffee.
Frank was great with us and very knowledgeable about the route and conditions.

Our sunset hike up Lion’s Head was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking—watching the sun dip below the horizon with Cape Town spread out beneath us was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was amazing! He hikes Lion's head twice a day so he knows every rock on the mountain and all the best picture spots. He had lights for us to use on the way down after the sunset. Do not try this without a guide! We have so many pictures from this climb but will remember it forever!

I had a lovely experience this morning hiking up lions head. My guide Patrick arrived on time and catered to my every need. He carried my jacket when I got hot and brought tea and coffee for us to enjoy at the top and watch the beautiful sunrise. The views are amazing. Good conversation with Patrick and he is very knowledgeable and shares this with you.

This was so much fun and amazing even though our view was completely clouded over. Patrick was the perfect guide taking us to the mountain he clearly loves. Amazing trip with guide Frank, great for solo travellers and felt very safe. When climbing you start with an uphill slope and then it goes into steeper parts where you use hands and feet and climb ladders etc so good agility is important. After sunset came back in the dark with head torches. Highly recommend.

We had a perfect sunrise trip with Patrick as our guide. Perfect weather conditions for an amazing view which is worth every step. To top it all off our guide Patrick was an absolute gentleman full of knowledge,experience and expertise. We experienced the sunset hike with Patrick! And it was amazing! I told him I would consider this more of rock climbing than hiking lol but Patrick was great! He gave enough breaks and never made us feel rushed or unsafe. Unfortunately the weather was not great but we enjoyed it nonetheless and on the hike down we were able to see the sun peak through the clouds and rain. Booking was seamless. I booked it that morning at 6 am. And he arrived for our pick up right on time. I would highly recommend!

Super great hike and I can only recommend this experience. You have a great, unique view over Cape town the entire hike and the sunset is fantastic. We also had a great and helpful guide in Patrick, who has so much knowledge about Cape Town that we learnt a lot. The difficulty of the hike is OK - not easy and not difficult, but OK.
