They left without me at 1st stop

Lissette_V, Sep 2025
1. I wanted to contact them via Viator and it took 12 or 18 hrs to respond to me. 2. Not enough time to hike to días point mainly to grab a bit to eat and go to the close light house. Rush , rush … for explorers like me that was too little time. After all you name yourselves xplorers right ? 3. Your tour coach left me behind at the first stop this morning. I had to look for a ride , mostly begging people to take me to the next point I hitchhike to the 2nd stop and when I got on the bus to go to the 3rd stop I realized your driver not the guide or the ticket manager realized they have left me behind at the 1st stop. 4. You should mention on your tour itinerary for people could bring a lunch and eat on the bus since it isn’t enough time to explore and hike and or eat at one of the restaurants. You can’t do both due to lack of time. 5. Instead of taking the long route to Cape Point maybe take the short route like on the way back so we tourists from across the world can enjoy this part of the world longer and once in a lifetime experience for many. 6. Or add 30 minutes more to the tour until sunset time. 7. We had to change buses once at water front instead of being dropped off on board the same bus we were picked up. So confusing. A Japanese tourist missed his ride due to this confusion. Consider not everyone speaks English fluently and instructions given by the guides in English only can be misinterpreted or misunderstood.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad we could clarify the situation for you. We checked our record, and your message came in at 5:34 PM, just after our call centre closed. However, we promptly responded at 6:36 AM the next morning, before our official opening time, with your follow-up message being answered in just 2 minutes. At Cape Point, our carefully planned 2-hour stop includes a 45-minute hike. Our route is designed to showcase both coastal sides based on feedback from previous passengers, ensuring a comprehensive experience. At Cape Point, we were aware that you were not on the bus, and we waited an additional 10 minutes but when you didn't arrive back, our driver then drove to the Cape of Good Hope sign to find you, and you were reunited you with the group. For the end of the tour, we offer a complimentary shuttle after the full-day tours to each City Sightseeing stop hence the change of buses after your full day tour is completed.

We had lots of fun very beautiful scenery indeed enjoy every little bit of the tour, we’ve observed and experienced beautiful breathtaking sites and were simply felt in awe.

Great tour, very annoying and poor operator instructions

sasaramead, Jan 2020
This was a good way to see the Cape of Good Hope without driving. It is not clear from the description, but it is run by the hop on hop off bus company, and is on one of their two level buses with a large group of people, but that didn't significantly reduce our experience. Our guide, Braham Best (I may be spelling his name wrong) was really informative and interesting, and we learned a ton about wildlife and the communities and beaches we passed on the way to the Cape. The Cape of Good Hope and lighthouse themselves were amazing--a must see for a trip to Cape Town. The only reason I didn't leave a higher review for this is that the process to pick up tickets is incredibly annoying and not clearly explained at all by the operator. Unlike other activities purchased on viator, the electronic ticket you get is not actually the ticket you need, but you need to present it at a redemption location in order to get the ticket. We were given instructions this needed to be done before the tour and at the two oceans acquarium, so we wasted time going to the Waterfront the day before our scheduled tour only to be told we couldn't actually get the ticket until the day of the tour, and could show up at any of the three pick up sites to redeem our tickets. It was VERY annoying and unclear. The operator should clarify the instructions they send to purchasers of this ticket. But otherwise, the tour itself was a great experience.

Response from Host, Feb 2020

We apologise about that we have not found anybody turning up a day before to go on their tour. The integrated system with Viator only allows us to redeem the boarding pass on the day of the tour.

beschreibung der buchug...

Alexander_M, Feb 2023
beschreibung der buchug entspricht nicht der realität vorallen was die kosten bedrifft da wird im nachgang noch abkassiert

Response from Host, Feb 2023

A faire absolument

LoveKFamily, Oct 2019
