Although one could easily spend months exploring the delights of the French Riviera, this full-day shore excursion hits on the highlights so you can maximize your day at port. Meet your knowledgeable local guide at the cruise terminal in Cannes in the morning, and set off in an 8-passenger minivan.
Begin with a drive by Cannes’ most famous attraction, the Festival Palace where the world’s best filmmakers and biggest stars gather each year for the Cannes International Film Festival. Continue along the scenic coastal roads of the Côte d'Azur, soaking up spectacular views of luxury villas and the Mediterranean Sea.
Stop at Antibes, an old port town that’s home to one of the Riviera’s largest marinas. It’s a contrast of history and modernity, where a medieval hilltop fortress stands sentinel over a fleet of luxury yachts docked at Billionaire's Quay.
After lunch at a local café in the charming Provençal village of St-Paul-de-Vence (own expense), journey on to the hilltop town of Eze. Admire some of the best views of the Mediterranean around, and tour the renowned Fragonard perfumery to discover what makes a truly fine French eau de cologne.
Drive past La Turbie, known as the ‘Terrace of Monaco,’ before crossing the border into the second-smallest country in the world. Take a walking tour of this principality that’s small in size but big on glamour, where you’ll see highlights like the Prince’s Palace, luxuriant gardens and the famed casinos of Monte Carlo. You’ll even take a spin along part of the Formula One Grand Prix race circuit.
Relax on the scenic return drive to Cannes, where your tour concludes with drop-off at the cruise terminal in the evening.

We had a wonderful experience with Lucie, our guide. The small group aspect was great and allowed us to travel comfortably in a van while Lucie went over interesting points along the way. She was a great guide, very well spoken and able to answer any question, no matter how obscure. She did a great job of explaining each stop and giving us ample time to explore on our own. My group included 2 young children and two older adults and the pace was perfect for everyone. We kept on schedule and arrived back at the ship with ample time.

We had a beautiful day exploring many places. Originally we thought it might feel rushed, but it didn’t at all. We got more time places than we thought we would. Alex, our guide, was very friendly, funny, and shared a lot of knowledge with us. 10/10 would recommend this tour as an efficient way to see a lot of the area!

Belo, our driver/guide from Liven Up tours (who we booked through Viatour), was excellent — knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver. Nine hours is a long time for a tour, but Belo made every minute enjoyable and info-packed. When we were done, we truly had a better understanding of the French Riviera. Just enough stops and sites. Also, Belo was a very good driver with a very comfortable van for eight passengers. He even tidied it on stops when we tourists we shopping or visiting sites on our own. Well worth the fare.

Great overview of the major areas of the French Riviera. A very good job of stopping often, usually with a scenic view or to allow for exploration of a town. Really enjoyed our stop in Monaco and in Èze-Village. Nice to have a small group and small van that allowed us to take smaller and faster roads (especially when there was an accident on highway). While it was a long day, we were able to see a great deal in a short time. Our guide, Thin, was informative and personable. Would definitely recommend this tour

The tour that we took was great from the places that we visited which was Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Our tour guide, Nicolas, was awesome as he knew a lot about the places that he took us to especially Monaco where we saw the changing of the guards and Nice where we stopped for lunch. Just a beautiful part of the world that we visited and we appreciated Viator for the opportunity for us to see it.

Wonderful way to see multiple cities in one day! It’s a long day but worth it if you’re only in south of France for a couple of days. The guide picked us up directly from our hotel, gave us history about each location we visited, and gave us tips for each location. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone in south of France!

Xavier was our guide for the day. He was waiting for us when we got off the ship. He is very knowledgable of the area and shared the history of Cannes and Monaco. We had a great day. He made sure we saw the changing of the guards at the Palace. He drove us around part of the F1 track in Monaco which was the coolest! All in all we couldn't have asked for a better day! There was only two of us who signed up for the tour, so we had a private tour with Sebastian, who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were able to sample the area from Monaco to Cannes (and almost everything in between).

Arrived in Cannes a few days before embarking on a Rhone River cruise. Wanted to experience the French Riviera and sites in the short time we had. We hit the jackpot with this tour! We were picked up at our hotel and then traveled to Nice to pick up a lovely family on holiday. Our guide/driver was Tin who insisted we stop at a Patisserie for coffee and croissants when he heard we had not had breakfast. A full day! Temperatures were high 80’s. I’m not going to lie, for a couple out of shape 70 year olds, Eze was tough but so worth it. Got to see all that was advertised, Eze, St. Paul de Vence, Monaco/Monte Carlo, and more. The family we picked up in Nice was interested in biking with their children to Antibe the following day. Tin took us for a drive along the Antibe coast to show them where to go and what to do. Well done tour with excellent staff. Highly recommend!

We definitely saw a lot on this tour. Be prepared as it is a long day with a lot of walking. The sites are fascinating and the views are marvelous. I loved the St Paul historic site and of course Monaco. We stopped at one place where we looked at 3 countries at one time: France, Monaco & Italy. Amazing!

Michael our tour guide was so much fun!! He was informative and truly made the experience ours. We raced along the Grand Prix course, stopped at the Casino for pictures, saw the changing of the guard and Princess Graces resting place. A small midlevel village Saint-Paul de Vence at the top of the mountain with an excellent restaurant and view topped off our afternoon. I would highly recommend paying for the 8 passengers but only having 7 max. We made it, but it was very tight, none of us are little people.

We were picked up in Cannes promptly at 8am. The first two. Then picked up 4 more people by 9am.
The tour was fabulous. Thin did a wonderful job explaining and teaching us facts about the French Riviera and its culture. We covered a lot of ground over the entire day and saw many interesting and beautiful sights. There is no way we could have seen or done so much on our own in a day. Especially with navigating the traffic! Thin was an excellent driver!
It made for a long day being the first picked up and the last dropped off but I felt like we got to see and learn a little bit more. Yes, we would do it again.

The tour was great to see the sights, yet for the per price rate I definitely anticipated a guided tour at each stop. I’m also accustomed to the tour guide pricing water for the group, which also was not provided. We unfortunately got lost at two of the sites and missed quite a bit since we were on our own and concerned about not getting back to a meeting point timely. All in all, not worth the $450 I spent for my family.
