Settle in for the ferry trip from Cannes to St Tropez, a journey of about one hour 15 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the way, and disembark in the village of St Tropez for a day's worth of independent exploration.
St Tropez has been a much-loved seaside resort since the years after World War II, and in later years its cultural importance grew thanks to an influx of artists and the nascent Yé-yé movement of the 1960s. Celebrities and wealthy vacationers soon followed, giving the town its current reputation as one of luxury and glamour. As a result, there are many sides of St Tropez to discover during your visit.
Walk through the Old Port to see the luxury yachts bobbing in the water. Browse the wide array of high-end boutiques or casual outdoor markets for unique souvenirs. Sightsee your way through the St Tropez Church (Église de St Tropez) and the 17th-century Citadelle de St Tropez, from which you get a great vantage point over the town.
Get cultured at the Musée de l’Annonciade, where the collection includes pieces by Picasso and Matisse. Explore the more peaceful area of the La Ponche fishing quarter. Take to the water with a windsurfing class. Venture back toward the harbor for a seafood lunch or to simply enjoy the Mediterranean sun on a lovely St Tropez beach.
At the end of your day in St Tropez, head back to the port for the ferry ride back to Cannes.

It was excellent trip both ways. We had rain going but no rain on return. We needed our rain gear in St Tropez. Indoor seating was very fine. Limited food for sale ,clean bathrooms, with a good captain and crew.

The trip on the Ferry was good but the organisation getting on the return in Saint Tropez was chaos. Nobody knew where to stand or which boat to get on. A few simple changes would have made things much easier. All that said I would definitely use again.
Beautiful boat ride, only complaint is it is a bit confusing trying to find the ticket place. You also have to spend 5 hours in St Tropez which is good until it gets too hot!
Very busy on the boat but fantastic people from the boat. Always willing to help.
Boarding is a little bit chaotic but hopefully getting better when the pier is finished with n Cannes
Can be bumpy if windy high waves
Overall awesome experience beautiful views great crew , really enjoyed it
Should you want to do more than shop, you may consider getting a private driver or tour guide while in St. Tropez.
Excellent experience on the ferry to and from Cannes - easy to find and comfortable ride
Highly recommend
The transport was as we have expected. Enough space for all. Options to buy a drink during the travel.
Short stay. Cannot join tour. You only go to the old town. Short stay, 5 hours only. Perhaps can go longer for a short tour at the island.
It was very bad experience. The boat was over crowded and clearly over sold. No organization what so ever.
Enjoyed the ride to Saint Tropez!! Friendly staff! Fantastic way to get to Saint Tropez and we so enjoyed the experience!
Far too many people.
It wasn't a nice trip on the water
I definitely would not recommend it.
They arrived with the boat on s different platform so everyone who had been queuing at the front for a long time, now were at the back and had to sit separately

Be 1 to1 and a half hour early because no parking close and major construction at cannes pick up dock i send messages on the on this app to tell them that I was running late and stuck in traffic. Because of the construction and looking for parking and I almost missed the boat with my wife by, like one or two minutes, and nobody ever got back to me until the pole left the dock
Overall easy and smooth transaction on picking up the tickets and getting TO st tropez. Easily one of the cleanest ferries we've been on and the ride was beautiful both ways. Only flaw is the lines on the return ride from St Tropez is not clear and the staff don't really enforce it. We wait on line about 25 mins beforehand with the company sign, only to have them open the gate from a different sign. It then becomes a free for all with guest rushing the gates. Truly unruly and it would have been nice for the staff to do some crowd control.
Ferry ride from Cannes to St Tropez and return. Visitor instructions were spot on. Nice new ferry. On time with good facilities and really good staff.
Toilets and a small bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. Guy making the announcements was funny and did point out some interesting things on the outbound.
Just the Roth amount of time to enjoy the town of St Tropez. Even time to visit the Citadel, old town, a few shops and a very nice lunch.
A great trip.
Some clearer sineage would help at the dock plus why not just have automated check in on tickets from the QR code. Only found out after queuing at the front to get best seats, that I needed paper tickets. Hence from first to last in the queue.
Having arrived at St Tropez it was quickly forgotten. What a beautiful place 😍
The ferry ride was enjoyable with nice seating and refreshments available for purchase. Beautiful scenery along the way.
Pretty new, very clean and comfortable boat. Would be great that smoking would be prohibited on the top deck, now all non-smokers have to breath that smoke...
Very caring staff who we watched making sure children didn't venture to close to the side and staff also took care of someone feeling ill .
Mistral winds hit during the return trip. They have no control over Mother Nature and I appreciate the captain got us back safely, but it would be better if they notified passengers that the water would be extremely choppy and gave them a choice. There were almost no other boats on the water our entire trip which tells you about the conditions. I would have paid extra to take a train or uber back to Cannes instead. Better to give people the option, even if no refund (which would make sense given the boat was running).
Otherwise great trip out in the morning, friendly staff, great option to get to Saint Tropez. On a typical day, I would highly recommend.
A really lovely way to get to St Tropez from Cannes - it does pick up at Nice before it got to us but there was plenty of space. Really clean. Snacks available to purchase on board - cash only. Very efficient - ran on time.
Viator did not advise that it was necessary to get paper copy tickets as the operator did not accept e-tickets
Very nice boat, clean, has restrooms and refreshments available! We had a wonderful experience and got to see the beautiful towns from the water. 100% would recommend to anyone!
Ferry was clean, fast, and smooth ride to San Tropez. Very professional and well run. Things to be aware of: nice day in the summer prepare for a full boat with no extra seats, cash only snack bar for food / drinks / alcohol, bar did not have a cork screw for my byo rosé
Crowded as others noted but seemed to be enough seating. They were very efficient with boarding and unboarding and completely on schedule. Kind of expensive I thought for a ferry and would have been nice if there were more crossings in case you wanted to stay longer. But options are limited from Cannes to St Tropez.
If getting on in Cannes, know they pick up in Nice first and seats are limited. Had to stand all the way to St.Tropez. This is just a shuttle nothing else but you can purchase beverages.
Beautiful boat!
Amazing scenes at St Tropez!
Thousands of all types of private yachts and sailboats!
Easy to access from cruise ships. Smooth boarding, ride, debarkation off the ferry, and love the inside seating with the tables. I was able to enjoy beverages, read, take a nap.
The city of St. Tropez is beautiful but I’m not sure it’s worth 2.5 hours by boat each way smelling diesel fumes and being splash with water if you’re unfortunate enough to be outside. No A/C so if you’re inside you can’t wait until it starts moving again. They also don’t tell you it’s not a straight ride to saint tropez. They make two stops at Cannes and saint marguerite island which is why it takes so long. I wouldn’t do it again. Maybe if I left from Cannes then it’s only 1.5 hours each way
It was a rainy day so no visibility on the boat. Many of the passengers were ill. The trip should have been cancelled. We took the bus/train on the way back. Disappointing
