Prompt pick up. Very small group. Itchy, our guide, was entertaining and very knowledgeable. We like to explore on all and go back on our own for more. This was a good taste of Eze, Monaco, Monte Carlo, and a few look out spots enroute.

Itinerary

Begin your French Riviera exploration by getting picked up at your hotel in Cannes. Relax in a comfortable minivan as you travel to Eze and Monaco along the picturesque Mediterranean coast. Pause for photo-worthy views over the pretty city of Nice before you arrive at your first stop, the hilltop village of Eze.

Explore the quaint town streets lined with shops and enjoy the fantastic views from this hilltop vantage point. Take a guided tour of a perfumery in Eze – this part of France is famous for its perfumes.

Depart from Eze and make your way across the border into the independent city-state of Monaco. Enjoy free time in the Old Town of Monte Carlo to watch the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace (the palace itself is open to visitors from June-October), the cathedral in which Princess Grace (Grace Kelly) is buried and the Cousteau Oceanographic Museum (own expense).

After your free time in Monte Carlo, hop back in the minivan for a lap on the Formula One Grand Prix circuit which runs through the city. Then, enjoy more time to explore the area around Casino Square at your leisure. Browse in the chic boutiques, walk through the pretty gardens, watch luxury yachts bob in the harbor or just engage in some of the most interesting people-watching in Europe.

As you head back toward Cannes, admire the scenery of the coastline of the Lower Corniche from Monaco to Nice. Travel past charming towns, luxury marinas and the Villefranche bay and fortress en route back to your Cannes hotel.

This small-group tour is limited to eight people, ensuring plenty of personalized attention from your English-speaking guide.

Fragonard’s, Eze and Monte Carlo is a must to see with a tour guide. It’s best as traffic and specific knowledge is needed prior to having the perfect trip. Adrian was a pro driver and knew how to navigate the roads, parking and dropping us off right in Front of Monte Carlo to see the casino and to gamble.

Our guide, Stephan was very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor. We booked the Eze and Monaco tour but not only he gave history about those two cities but also the neighboring area including the two islands off of Cannes. From which we actually ended up touring the island of St. Honorat the following day. The Village of Eze was truly magnificent however if you plan on going to the exotic garden for scenic views, make sure to book a ticket in advance especially during the peak season.

We had a terrific tour of Monaco, Eze, and Monte Carlo. Our guide supplied us with lots of information about the area. We enjoyed a delightful lunch in Monaco and had plenty of time to see the sights. Liked having only 7 of us on the tour. If you have a limited time in the area I would recommend this tour. Very comprehensive and plenty of time to look around and shop.

This excursion was so worth it. Our driver Itchy picked us up from our hotel, drove us to the sights and was very knowledgeable. He let us determine how long we wanted to stay at each location. We were alone so we had this benefit. All of the sights were amazing and we had a great time! Captured some great photos too. Itchy was amazing! Great attitude and conversation. Highly recommend this excursion and ask for Itchy if possible.

Rushed and Disappointed Tour Experience

We recently took this tour from Cannes to Eze and Monaco, and I must say, it was quite disappointing overall. First stop: the perfume factory. The tour there was utterly pointless, clearly designed just to sell us their perfumes. I’ve seen other tours that offer a workshop where you can create your own perfume, but ours had nothing of the sort. Next up was Eze. We were given 45 minutes to explore the old town, which was barely enough time to race up to the top in the scorching heat, snap a few photos, and race back down. We didn’t even have time to buy a drink. The third stop was Monaco, where the tour promised three hours of free time. In reality, we got only two, which was nowhere near enough to see the main attractions, let alone have a meal. It was already well past lunchtime, making this stop particularly frustrating. And of course last stop: Monte Carlo. The tour description should have warned us that entry to the casino requires a passport and proper attire. Naturally, tourists in the peak of summer are likely to turn up in shorts, so it’s the tour operator’s responsibility to inform us about the dress code. The tour description also mentioned a driver/guide, but what we got was essentially just a driver. There was very little commentary, making the tour feel quite pointless. In hindsight, renting a car and exploring on our own would have been much better. This tour offered no real advantages, just a lot of extremely rushed sightseeing.

Our guide was amazing. My only critique is that I wish we had more time in Eze instead of spending time at the perfumery. Also buy your tickets for Eze at the bottom of the hill.

Not for cruisers - AWESOME experience

Nora was our tour guide and she was fantastic! Warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything on the French Riviera. She adjusted the times in each location based on our priorities. The perfume factory was fascinating and the castle village of Eza is a MUST see- straight out of a fairytale book. Monaco was another highlight of our entire European vacation. If you plan to go into the Monte Carlo casino make sure you bring your passport, it’s req’d for entry! One word of advice, this tour is not appropriate for cruise tourists because it usually leaves so early and returns so late that it won’t work with your port times. We got extremely lucky because we were the only 2 that day and Nora worked it out with us.

Monaco and Eze

Our guide Peggy gets a 5 star for keeping us entertained with interesting and fun facts about the French people and the area we were visiting. The van was very clean and comfortable but no snacking is allowed so make sure you eat a good breakfast before starting out. There is a lot of walking!! This is a good tour overall but there are a few things that could be improved. We went to Eze first. The village of Eze is interesting but there were no brochures so you wander by yourself and guess at how life was. Read about Eze before going! The bathrooms don’t open til 10 am and the restaurant not until 11am and we were there around 9:30am. We went to the top where the gardens are. There was an additional few for this. These tickets should be included. We visited the perfumery which was interesting as well. From there we went to Monaco and just missed the changing of the guard which was disappointing! There are lots of lunch options. Again no brochures and you are dropped off to wander on your own. We went to Monte Carlo to the casino. They are strict about attire for the main casino and there is an entrance fee. We stayed in the outer area and played the slot machines and won 5 cents!! We drove the lap where the Gran Prix is raced through the city. If we’d had a guided tour of Eze and Monaco this would have been a 5 star tour!

Please note that the tour is not a guided tour but a sightseeing tour which is designed to allow you free time in each place you visit. Having said that, all the guides give commentary in the vans and advise where to go and what to see at each stop. Unfortunately, it is not practical to add th entrance fee to the Exotic Garden to the price of the tour, since not everyone either desires or is able to visit. Amazing Views

Being a family of 6 and having the tour mainly to ourselves was nice. We didn't get lost in a large group of people and experienced 1 on 1 conversations with our tour guide who was very friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable. The traffic in this region was the only bad part of the tour other we loved everything we got to see. Monaco was lovely and watching the changing of the guard was fantastic! Get there early to get a good spot because it gets crowded quickly. The view overlooking the bay by the castle was breathtaking. Monte Carlo was nice as well but we had to pay an entry fee to actually see casino so we didn't go in. There were some really expensive nice cars to look out at front and high end stores to walk through. Eze was our last stop and what an amazing little village built on the highest peak. The garden was amazing but be prepared to hike. Hills, stops and inclines. Great experience fit into a full day with lots of experiences for our family.

Fabulous Day Trip Of The French Riviera

We had the best trip. We stayed in Juan Le Pins so we caught a taxi to Cannes to pick up the mini bus. Peggy was our guide and she was the best person to have as a driver and and guide, so knowledgeable and very considerate of what the tour entailed and how to make it the best trip ever. Such a stunning tour all along the French Riviera Excellent tour and a bonus if you get Peggy.

Our guide Megane was Great!! She picked us up from our hotel and our first stop was Monte Carlo. She was very informative and was able to answer every question that I asked her clearly. The visit to each location was just enough time to explore. There were 6 people on the tour and I really enjoyed touring with a small group.
