My wife and I did the ATV with wave runner. Both were exceptional! Both ATVs and wave runners had just the right amount of ride time. The tour guides were very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. Would recommend if you are looking for a thrill.

Good value even if on the pricey side

This was an expensive but well-worth it experience. We were staying in Playa Del Carmen so Maroma Beach where this experience is held was only a short drive away - which travel to and from was covered by the tour operator. There are a couple additional fees at the beach itself (it is a beach club after all) so be aware of this, but ultimately we felt like the day was great value. 45 minutes of ATV through various terrain and another 45 minutes of speedboating felt like ample time to enjoy each of the activities. In addition to this, lunch is included and it's a fantastic indoor/outdoor buffett with local cuisine. Our one regret was changing our return time from 5:30pm to 4:30pm because Maroma beach is just so lovely and well-kept. When we went it wasn't very busy and the beach was pristine.

I booked the combo tour for 3pm - a day before i contact the tour operator about the pickup, and he told me that if i do the combo that i also deserve a lunch, so if i would like to eat there so the pick up will be at 12pm and not 2pm because the kitchen close at 5pm. The lunch was worth that because that was a buffe and basically you can whatever you want and no limit. About the activities - i did waverunner + atv. The day was rainy for 2 hours, i started the atv with heavy rain and then it calmed after 20 min. The problem was that i didn't get any pictures (not even from the place becuase in the rain they not sending the photographers). About the waverunner - it was basically just wandering after the guide and doing zigzags but it was fun because there were a lot of good waves (i really flyed there for couple of meters). And after that the place wanted to sell me the pictures - for 65$ but i didn't buy them because they were without the waves.. I suggest to come here with go pro so you can take really good pictures of activities because they really were fun.

We have chosen ATV and Wave runner. Pros : - The activities were well organized and animation team was great. - Beach club was great, waiters/staff from the bar were super kind, even guessing our drinks and bringing them without asking. - Drinks were great. - Food was AMAZING, especially the BBQ and ice cream. - Coaties playing around - Wave runner activity was well organized, it was guided and it was fun and secure. - Our daughter 17 years old has been able to drive ATV and Wave runner. - The first part of the ATV circuit is on road and a good practice before they take you to bumpy part and you can drive faster. Also there was a chance for switching drivers between those 2 parts. CONS : - We never received an email to let us know the time of the pick up and the pick up details were incorrect we ended up walking around Playa del Carmen for an hour. All telephone numbers were not working and nobody would reply on the Viator chat. The directions from Google map or Viator kept pointing different locations, it was a nightmare until one hotel helped us and we found eventually one number which was working. The person on the phone wanted to charge us 20 US dollars per person for the travel (80 dollars in total) but we found a taxi for 25 dollars. She wanted to charge us extra for rescheduling... start has been really chaotic and scary. - Expensive, that's very expensive - On the top of the activity you have to pay 20 US dollar /person for marina fees - On the top of the activity you have to tip ATV team, Wave runner team, ppl who guide you between activities, staff at the bar... - On the top of the activity you are advised to take insurance which is not included for any damage to ATV engines, that's another 20 US dollar per ATV - Lockers are not included and small when you get one for a family of 4 (you get the money back when you give the key back) - You are not allowed to take pictures (go pro or phone or camera) during the activities for safety reason so their photographer follows along and then of course they sell the photos and that's again very very expensive. CONCLUSION If you have money and you want to please your kids, have a chil afternoon on a nice beach, enjoy nice BBQ. But only book with pick up from YOUR hotel and not from a pick up in town.

Our family did the ATV and the speedboats. Here is the good that happened: The driver that picked us up at the resort was great with private car service. When we got to the place where the activities were, it was a little confusing at first (note: seemed like a lot of people had arrived right before us). However, the directions were easy to follow. The leaders on the ATV were really excellent and I would suggest them again. The speedboats were fine overall (will get to the problem in a second). The restaurant afterwards that was included was truly great and authentic. The bad: On the speedboat, one of the one we rented kept losing power in the later portion of the ride. We waived our hands several times, however, the tour guides never came to check on us. Thank god we got back to the docking area. The guide said it was probably from seaweed, however, I didn’t see seaweed on the propeller myself afterwards. Also, the really bad part was the ride back to our resort. When we got there, they never told us when our ride would take us back to the resort. So when we thought we were ready to leave, they told us we have to wait 90 minutes for the next transportation. So we waited and they put us in a shared van (remember the private car service earlier) and didn’t tell us that that was the setup. The driver then stopped at another resort on the way back. The shared van was a stick shift (manual admission) and it was a rough drive over various speed bumps to the other resort. So we left the excursion place about 15-20 minutes late and then the stop at the other resort added another 25 minutes or so. So the drive back to an additional 45 minutes on top of the 90 minutes we already had to wait. It was just really bad communication about afternoon transportation and it didn’t need to be. Not one person apologized which made it worse and why I didn’t give a higher rating. Also, we tried to call an Uber because it was so painfully slow. No Ubers go to that area. I would definitely have given this a higher rating if not for the transportation back.

The w ticketed themselves were fun but I felt scammed by the photos. They require you to out your phone in a locker prior to getting to the activity and don’t allow any photos. Then to purchase the photos was $200! That is 50% of what we paid for the tour for 2. I understand safety but they don’t let you take a photo at the beginning or the end so unfortunately we have no photo memory of the day.

Atv host was nasty attitude and we never finished the atv due to his attitude

Highly recommend everyone is nice and the answer any questions you may have .. the buffet is nice and the food is delicious.. the only problem I have is you have to pay a lot of money just to get the pictures that they took and you already paid a whole bunch of money to get into the place and you can’t get a discount.. other than that my experience was a 10 out of 10 and I recommend people are nice and informative the speed boat was awesome as well and the Atv even though I was a little scared for a first time could of been longer though.

I picked this excursion because of the reviews and seeing that my 17 year old daughter could drive her own ATV. There is a steep curve in soft sand in one part of the ATV ride. In this same area there were coconuts on the ground (not safe). Unfortunately my daughter’s ATV flipped and she flipped and the ATV landed on her leg. I noticed she wasn’t with the rest of the group and kept asking what happened. They initially acted like everything was fine. I asked again and eventually walked to her myself just to see her lying on the ground in pain. She fractured her tibia. Two guys from the park followed the ambulance to the hospital and stayed with us while she was in the ED. They kept telling me they would cover the cost of her care. Even said if I agreed to surgery they would cover that cost. I decided against surgery in Cancun but stayed the night in the hospital so they could get the pain under control. When it came to checking out, the park did NOT cover the expenses. I paid for it myself. They did arrange us a ride to get to the airport. Once arrived at the airport, the driver asked me to sign a blank piece of paper. I asked what it was for, he said just said, I said what is it for, he said never mind. We didn’t make it to the Speedboat/waverrunner portion of this excursion. I sent them a message thru viator which they ignored/never replied. I then requested a partial refund thru viator which they declined. Bottom line, I DO NOT recommend this activity for teenagers.

We did the ATV and Waverunner combo and it was awesome. The guides in both activities do a really great job of going over safety. This was important because we had two teenagers (16 & 17) with us who had never driven an ATV or Waverunner. Each activity was just long enough and the back drop was stunning. The meal included was a bonus.

We had the ATV and Waverunner combo. Of the two, I would say the Waverunner was totally worth it. Pedro was an amazing guide and made sure I had super fun on the waverunner. As a first timer in the deep oceans, I felt Pedor and Eduardo always had an eye for me and I fely pretty secure and safe. The waverunner was pretty exhilarating, super fun and was totally worth the penny. The ATV ride was good too. The circuits might not be that great but our guide Steve made sure we had a lot of fun. He was pretty funny, and good with instructions. He made sure we had an awesome time on the ATV. He was considerate and looked after our safety. The equipments are in great condition. The beach is surreal, you sure can make a day out of it. Lie on the beach, do the adventure rides and have an alright snack at the snack bar. Lockers are free, just need to put down a security deposit which you get back. Photos are not included, and are also a little expensive. The information desk was smooth with our registration process but failed to tell us about the timings. We had to rush for our snacks as the kitchen closed at 5:30 and after snack the information desk had left. Had to wait a little to get our locker deposit back but was attended to. Make shre you wind up your plans before 5 pm, the customer service pretty much shuts/slows down by then.

The tour guide was great it was the people who u check in with that’s was very rude and it was pouring down raining we wanted to reschedule bc we couldn’t see they got so mad at us and didn’t even wanna to help and make it better so we waited about two hours and then we went on the ATVs and they made up for it it was very great and we left them a tip the check in people are not it but the overall experience was the best
