This sunset sailing tour operates exclusively through a hotel pickup service, for which we have two established routes: one covering the Riviera Maya area and the other covering the Cancun. Before booking, please check this list of hotels to find the correct option for you. Round-trip transportation is included from most hotels in Riviera Maya. IMPORTANT: the Start Time is NOT your Pickup time. It depends on your hotel's location. Please be aware of your pickup details.

I booked this trip for my partners birthday and it was fantastic. The pick up and drop off went smoothly, we got some amazing pictures of the sunset, the food and drink provided was great and the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. I would highly recommend.

Not the romantic sunset cruise we were expecting! With 50 people packed on to a catamaran, it was the most awful experience. We left the harbour and headed into the choppy sea when the person who was hosting told me and my 72 year old husband that we would get wet sitting at the front and would be better sat at the back. We had to get up at the front of the boat with nothing to hold on to other than a wire which was 2 foot high off the deck. My husband (who is a non swimmer) was terrified as he stumbled along with other passengers trying to hold on to him as he passed them. I followed, very unsteadily and frightened that my husband was going to go over the side. There was nothing to hold onto as there were other passengers standing along the side of the boat where we had to walk. It was a very traumatic experience for us both. The other people on board just got very drunk and rowdy. Not what we were expecting at all. Certainly not like the photographs in the advert. The other guests were not interested in the sunset, just getting drunk and then throwing up over the side of the boat!!!

Professionally run, gorgeous boat, great crew, awesome light snack and drinks, on time pickup and drop off.
Sunset was amazing with the captain knowing just how to position the boat and use the sail.

We've experienced several catamaran sunset cruises. This was "ok" at best. Nothing special. The boat, a nice catamaran, was small and cramped for 30 people. It's suited for 15-20. The cabin area below was cramped. Food was limited. The charcuterie board that the crew served was so-so. The meats and cheese had little flavor. The bread was stale. The only crackers served were Ritz. The best aspect of this cruise is that the crew served drinks regularly. They told us nothing about the area - only safety precautions and crew introductions at the beginning, and a "thank you" and long-winded pitch for tips at the end. When booking for boat excursions in the area in the future, we'll stay away from Cancun Adventures. Additional competition would be welcomed. I give this cruise 3-stars - barely.

Too many people on the boat. Not a whole lot of sitting room on the bow.

The actual boat ride / service was great. The pick up and drop off was unnecessary and we could have saved 3 hours of our lives. It was an absolute mess / unorganized and terrible communication.

This was really fun. I booked it for my boyfriend’s 30th because I thought it was going to be romantic. I’ll be honest it wasn’t as romantic as I thought it would be, there were 4 drunk ladies in our van ride and on the boat with us that were kind of annoying. When I got off the van with a dress on, one of them made a rude comment about me being overdressed. Based on the description and the pictures of the trip I thought that was the vibe. There were maybe like 4-5 other couples so I think those women booked the wrong boat or maybe were given a different description, but maybe the company should just try marketing this to couples. Besides that, the drinks and food were good and the pictures came out great! Pics were so pricey, if you can, try to bargain with them. But to me they were kind of worth it for the memories, and my boyfriend and I looked really nice so I couldn’t turn them down. Music wasn’t great, they need to figure out a better playlist situation. All in all the staff was really great and the experience was nice!

The cruise was so nice! My wife and I booked the night before and we were picked up promptly the next day. A bit cloudy but still a good time.(Lighting show over the mountains). Drinks were cold and well made. The charcuterie board was very good as well. Staff was nice and attentive. Perfect activity to spend our last afternoon in mexico. Don’t listen to the sour reviews. Sour people = sour reviews. Paola, Enrique, Chile & Mario were amazing. Also the photographer takes great pictures :) 10/10 recommend.

This is the first “luxury” cruise I’ve ever been on and didn’t like. I’ve been on PLENTY all over the world. The seating was horrible (packed 12/14 people in one tight area) so it was really uncomfortable sitting so close to strangers. Took extremely long for drinks (after asking me twice what I wanted smh), food was a light charcuterie board (shaped cute) and no entertainment (only soft music). Guessing this tour was catered towards couples- it should have been advertised as such. THEN we didn’t have a good view to see the sunset!

The whole trip was wonderful. They pick you up at your hotel and take you to a beautiful beach. After getting on the boat there was an open bar with great drinks and plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the gorgeous sights and refreshing ocean breeze. The staff was excellent and we met some wonderful new friends onboard. We would definitely do this again; it was perfect.

The crew was awesome. Very friendly, courteous, kind and accommodating. The seas were rough on our trip and several people started feeling it. The crew recognized it and quickly pulled us into a nearby calmer cove where everyone was able to recover before a short trip back to port. The sun doesn’t set into the ocean but behind the land. The music was loud and not really for our age group (50’s). There was plenty of space on board and the crew encouraged drinks.

Did not know it was a shared boat. When we were meeting the driver at our hotel pick up spot, he called and told us he will wait 4 minutes. He had already left and said we no showed at 4:40pm. We got to the spot at 4:37pm. He lied. Which we then had to call a taxi to drive 30 minutes and paid $94 plus tip to try to make it to our reservation at 5:30pm. Thankfully we made it in time and even still had time to shop while we waited for our boat to be ready. Ramon and the staff on the boat were great! The bar and the light dinner were delicious and we took some really pretty sunset photos.

My wife and I did this excursion in late April and had a blast. The crew was fantastic, the drinks were good and they played good music. Overall this was a great excursion as long as you know what to expect going into it. We read the reviews ahead of time, so we knew the “dinner” was really a charcuterie board with meat, cheese and crackers.
