Guide Margaret was very personable, shared lots of information about Cagliari, Sardinia, and the foods we tasted. Overall a lovely food your!
Enrico was amazing!! He took us to a few different local spots where we learned about each food and the culture in depth and we loved it! I also texted him after the fact for the name of the restaurant we went to the day after and he was fast at responding and willing to give other recommendations! Highly recommend!
This tour is a great introduction to both the Sardinian way of life and to Sardinian food culture. Our guide, Enrico, was most engaging and knowledgeable about what it is like to live in Sardinia and steered our group to local places that are frequented by locals. All the food we tried was very good and the tour was a most enjoyable way to spend our time in Cagliari.
Be prepared to walk up some steep hills, but also be prepared to be stuffed, so go hungry!
We enjoyed chatting with our guide Maya who was knowledgeable and great fun.
We were so fortunate to be guided to the local eating establishments by Bjorn. His knowledge of Cagliari history and his enthusiasm in showing Sardinia at its best was a win. Lots of good authentic food. Plenty of water and drink. Not too much walking. Easy pace.

Maya was our guide, really interesting to learn about the local different foods.

We understand that different guests have different expectations of pacing and structure, but we do not agree that the tour is poorly designed. It has been carefully developed to balance walking, cultural context, and multiple food stops within a single itinerary, and it is generally well received by guests who participate.

Vincenzo was an amazing guide. He was interesting and a wealth of knowledge about the city. He also lived in the neighborhood of the tour and knew all the people where we went. When the final stop closed early he pivoted and found a great alternative for the final coffee tasting. So much to eat and a wonderful experience.
The food is excellent and plentiful. Miya’s knowledge of Cagliari and her friendly disposition make it a wonderful gastronomic journey
We booked this food tour for our first night in Cagliari, and I am so glad we did. We got such a great overview of the city, and food of the city. Vincenzo perfectly balanced history, with current day anecdotes, and of course information about the food we got to taste. Come hungry to this food tour there are so many great stops and it allows you to try a variety of Sardinian dishes. Vincenzo knows how to lead a tour and found a great balance of helping us feel like we knew the city, while still sprinkling in humor.

Also worth noting is that when communicating with the tour operator prior to our tour, the customer service was really excellent.

This was so much more than a food tour! Not only will you enjoy truly traditional Sardinian food (learning about how the dishes were developed and prepared) but you will learn so much more about local history and customs. We took this tour on our last evening in Cagliari and I wish we had done it our first night. It might have saved us from some disappointing meals. To top it all off, Enrico was charmingly humorous and even gave us travel suggestions for our upcoming destinations in Sardinia. Do not hesitate to book! Note: Come hungry because you will eat until you are stuffed!
Relatively short walk, guide was patient with our 3 year old. Great food! I especially appreciated that the guide lived in the area and knew all of the local restaurants.

This experience was amazing. We walk to 5 stores trying food at each one. Bjorn was an incredible tour guide. Very friendly and welcoming. We were absolutely stuff by the end of the tour. Bjorn shared great knowledge of the local food and other important buildings, traditions, and culture.

Wonderful walking food & drink tour of Cagliari. Our guide Vincenzo was wonderful and knowledgeable. Very accommodating. We all had a great experience!
Our group participated in several organized tours and experiences while in Italy and cannot recommend this one. The guide was nice and personable but the flow of the meal was completely off. This really did not feel like an authentic Sardinian meal and instead an attempt to make money off tourists. Definitely do not pay for the added drink package. We thought it might be fun to taste different wines and be educated on what they were, but nothing like that occurred. Very poor value on this experience. On top of that, one of the participants got food poisoning- if we had to guess, from bad seafood fregola. While we can’t know for sure it was from this meal, the only other things consumed that day were baked goods and timing aligned with this meal. Save your money and enjoy one of the countless delicious restaurants in Cagliari.
