A unique way to experience Cagliari. Valentina is an experienced guide with excellent driving skills. The vintage Fiat allows access to many back streets and alleyways which could not accommodate a bigger vehicle. The car itself becomes an attraction at times and was admired by many. If you are a car enthusiast this your is made for you.
This tour introduced us to Cagliari highlights and helped familiarise us with the city centre .
Valentina kindly dropped us off to our next engagement. She went above and beyond her role.

We do not enjoy the touristy areas unless there is a specific attraction. So when I saw this tour we were very excited. It did not disappoint. First, I noticed our booking had the prior day and we were not to be in port until the following day. My husband messaged Viator with no resolution. But then he direct messaged the tour and Valentina quickly responded. It was no problem to switch it to the following day and use the same ticket. We were so relieved and grateful to her for accommodating us. Now the tour…. the car is amazing! Valentina is amazing! She is a local with immense knowledge of Cagliari and Sardinia history. We saw and learned so much. She gave us time to get out and explore certain sites. This tour would also be a good option for someone who is not able to or doesn’t like to walk for long periods of time but still allows for you to see many sites. Actually, I think it was far better than a standard tour as I feel we saw so much more than we would have with a large group. At the tour conclusion we asked Valentina for a restaurant recommendation and we had a wonderful authentic lunch. I would do this again if ever back in Cagliari and I highly recommend it.

This was the standout highlight for our time in Cagliari. I booked this as a part of the holiday for my wife’s birthday and it was fabulous. Valentina is an absolute star and such a knowledgeable guide driving her families vintage fiat. She took us on a great tour of the city which we would never have been able to do on foot. She explained so much about the city and how there were 3 walls built. The cathedral was a marvel plus the streets in Villanova lined with flowers plus so much more. This trip was so good we loved how she navigated driving through the narrow streets with ease. If you’re in the area and want a tour with a difference do not hesitate to book this. Thank you Valentina for making this a fabulous tour .

This was the perfect way to start our first full day in Cagliari. My partner and I felt like we got a much better understanding of the city, and this tour helped us navigate the city with so much more confidence throughout the rest of our time in Cagliari. There were great stops at some breathtaking views and anecdotes shared along the way that made it clear Valentina not only knew the history of the city, but what it's like today. We booked this because we thought the car was cute and it would be a fun thing to tell people we did, but it ended up helping us see so much more of the city and feel like we really got an insider's view.

What a find. This was the perfect way to experience Cagliari without climbing steep hills or getting swept into a big “canned” tour. Riding through the city in a classic 1964 Fiat—beautifully maintained and surprisingly comfortable—felt like stepping into vintage Italy. Other tourists kept snapping photos of the car as we zipped through the narrow streets, which added to the fun.
The real highlight, though, was our guide, Valentina. Warm, genuine, and deeply knowledgeable, she brings her hometown’s history to life. It’s clear she loves what she does, and that energy makes the whole experience shine. She took us to scenic overlooks, charming neighborhoods, and several churches—places we never would’ve found on a standard excursion. We learned so much and never once felt rushed.
For anyone wanting a shorter, more personal tour, especially in the summer heat, this is absolutely the way to go. And here’s the bonus: compared to the ship’s excursions, this was a bargain. We’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Valentina was super friendly, extremely knowledgable, and fun! It was delightful to be in the retro car and because the car is so tiny - she was able to stop in tight spots to talk about a site or let us get out to explore for a few minutes.

Our guide Valentina was amazing she was knowledgeable. We really liked her. You could tell in her smile she loved what she did and where she lives. She was great. The views were incredible. Our only disappointment was the car. We know it was a 1964 so it would be hard to be in great condition however it was very noisy and uncomfortable.

Valentina was our driver she was very friendly and knowledgeable about Cagliari. Took us all around the city. The car is great fun as she was driving through the narrow streets. She was happy to answer any questions we had. As she said it was our tour. She also picked us up from our hotel. As after booking I sent a message asking if we could be picked up. We would highly recommend this trip, we throughly enjoyed it

This was a wonderful experience with our driver Valentina. She took us through the old parts of the city, giving wonderful commentary on the history of the region. She also stopped several times to allow us photographic opportunities. The excursion was just over 2 hours, and perfect for both of us. We highly recommend this lovely tour.

Such an interesting tour! I kind of chose Sardegna at random for my first ever solo trip for my 42nd birthday. Valentina was super knowledgable and kind and spoke to me in Italian as I requested, stopping to clarify if I didn't understand anything. I really wanted to stretch my brain on this one and listen to the tour in Italian! As for the tour itself, you'll go around the city in a vintage 1100D Fiat to major points of interest with a full history lesson in tow! I had no idea Sardegna was so old, with roots dating all the way back to the Phoenicians. That's literally incredible to me to be walking around with so much history just...everywhere. The car is a family heirloom of Valentina's, and as a classic car owner myself, this made the tour even more special.

Had a wonderful time touring Cagliari with Valentina she’s so knowledgeable about this beautiful island. Traveling around in her vintage 1961 fiat which we learned is the

After spending a week on the Sardinian beaches I wanted to learn more about the country's history during our 2 days in Cagliari.
As someone who normally thoroughly researches a destination and has a full itinerary of what churches and museums I want to visit. I felt at a loss when we arrived in the capital as my holiday prep had prioritised the island's coastline and not cultural heritage.
Friends of ours had done 'tours by locals' in other cities and raved about them so was delighted to find Valentina's excellent reviews.
I was still apprehensive to book as I enjoy exploring a city in my own pace and feared there would be an awkwardness with the smallness of the group.
I am so happy we booked, my husband and I both agreed it was our favourite activity of the whole trip. Valentina is just such a wonderful person who is so proud of her city and country. It was a joy to spend time in her company, sitting in a beautiful car and learning so much - in such a gentle and laid back way.
Every city I visit now I will book a 'tour by locals' as it is just such a great way to really experience the area.

We booked this trip as a treat to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we are so glad that we did. Valentina was a wonderful guide and an excellent driver as we wound our way through the tight and twisty streets of Cagliari. The car is in immaculate condition, very stylish and eye-catching and we received a lot of waves, smiles and looks of admiration during our tour.
Valentina was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and keen to show us as much of her city as possible. She was also keen to stress that she would go anywhere that we wanted to go and the tour would be tailored to our needs. We even had time to go and see the flamingoes as well as all the major sites in the city.
Grazzie Valentina, we had a great time and we thoroughly recommend that people take this individual tour. After all, why on earth would you stick to the touristic buses and trains, where you are left to be smothered by the crowds, go at a snail's pace and thus cover so much less.
