I think this was a good trip,Francesco was friendly and knowledgeable,he showed us all the different flora that grew in the higher altitude, an hour of off road driving was more than enough for me. It filled my whole day. I think 4 hours on the beach was too long though...I would've preferred to have had a shorter time on the beach and to return sooner but overall would definitely recommend.

Traveling in a jeep through the mountains in a summer is entertaining. The tour guide was also very kind to stop in some spots for photo shoots and bio-break. Personally I think the tour is suitable for those who want some new experience (traveling in a jeep, driving through the mountains, getting some introduction about the flora). If you purely want to go to the beach in Chia, this tour is quite costly for your needs.

Southern Sardinia

We were a small group of 3 and our guide Francisco was easy going and very knowledgeable about the southern tip of Sardinia. This time of year there are few if any tourists, so no crowds on our beach visits . Very lovely day with amazing water and natural beauty everywhere.

The guide was so friendly and welcoming. After doing a similar tour elsewhere where there was loads of stops for photos , beaches , mountains , offroading , waterfalls also it included lunch and a stop in a small village bar. This tour felt more like a taxi service. So I don't think it was value for money. It would have been cheaper renting your own car for the day.

Would have loved more off road time… great guide/driver…but hard to hear him… perhaps a microphone for him? And also would’ve liked less time at the beach drop offs..and more road time as the scenery was fantastic! But overall it was Fun!

Disappointing overpriced trip

I have done a lot of jeep tours in many countries around the world . This is by far the most disappointing. Overpriced; indifferent service; disappointing itinerary. If you are expecting a day of wonderful exploration off the beaten track you will be disappointed. It was 30% mountain and 70% beach time. I wanted more driving in the mountains; visiting out of the way villages; exploring local life and history. Instead it was merely a trip to take you to a beach - which I could’ve done on my own at a fraction of the cost . The driver spoke very poor English and concentrated his efforts on the two Italians in the group pretty much ignoring the 5 Brits on board. Also very poor explanation as to what we were doing next - and very poor information about where the next toilet stop would be . When I asked about toilets 3 hours in - he shrugged his shoulders and dismissed my query ! Appalling customer service . Over priced for what we got .

Enjoyed the trip and with the distance travelled was good value. Off roading isn’t really how we would view it in the uk. It was more driving down a substantial dirt track but Chia and the other beaches were beautiful and we saw the Flamingos. Guide translated to English minimally although we were a party of 5 English and 2 Italian and it was very difficult to hear in the back with no speaker system. That said it was a good day and pick up was punctual. Take sun brolleys unless you want to pay £40 on the beach and you need some shade as you are on the beach for 4 hours.

I had an absolutely incredible experience on the mountain and beach jeep tour in Chia, Sardinia! The breathtaking landscapes combined with the thrill of off-road adventure made it unforgettable. Francesco was an amazing guide with very good knowledge of the places he took us. There was ample time at the beach of Chia and Cala chippola. Stopped also watching the flamingos and their story about their pink colour. Francesco was also very kind to drop us home afterwards. Thank you Francesco will definitely keep in contact

The best tour experience in all my travels. At first it was doubtful that I could climb into the jeep (I’m movement challenged) but the tour guide Francesco did not give up and made a solution by rearranging the seating. When other passengers started to fuss, he simply said we just won’t start the tour until everyone is in! Thankfully because he is so educated on the history of Sardinia, Cagliari and also the botanical environment that I can’t imagine anyone else being so giving, patient and generous with his knowledge. He made sure everyone was learning, enjoying what was particularly interesting to them. He stopped along the way for pictures and picking vegetation, wild fruit, herbs, rest stops and an incredible beach of Chia that we had hours to swim. Upon return, he was kind to each passenger with their drop off and to me even more so taking me back to pick up my walker at the hotel and taking me to the Archeological museum just because he is so proud and passionate about the history of this island. He turned my trip completely around as the day before a different tour company would not even take me with my limitations. I truly thank him and highly recommend this tour. As far as the value, incredible full day adventure for the price of what others charge for half a day.

We had a great time! My favorite part was the beautiful beaches! Crystal clear sparkling water! Unlike anything I have ever seen before! The weather was great! During the drive there were also beautiful views of the mountains and city! Going up the mountain was an off road adventure, fun experience. From Cagliari it’s an hour drive to and from and a long day overall so we brought our own snacks and beverages which worked out well for our family of 4. My whole family enjoyed it! Our driver was also great and informative. I definitely recommend!

Couldn't be happier that I booked this excursion! Emilio was an amazing guide and driver who really made the experience extra special. Highly recommended this event if you want to do something more interesting than just seeing the beaches. The 4x4 off roading was a great way to see more of the island, as well as some fabulous views! And the beavhes we went to were great as well - gorgeous water and nice areas to catch some sun and enjoy the beautiful water. They also have areas to grab some good food and drinks as well. Perfect if you don't want to spend extra renting a car and trying to do it yourself.

The service first and foremost. We had an unexpected problem on our way to the pick-up spot. Bus drivers went on strike and the bus we were on the get to the tour unloaded everyone. Our tour driver/guide got us through it by text got us and the whole group has a great day. Then he made sure we got back to our B&B. The tour was fantastic. The guide has a great sense of humor, is very knowledgeable and skilled at navigating the terrain. Of course the mountains and beaches were a great experience.

I am glad I booked this trip for my family whilst visiting Cagliari. It had a great mixture of fantastic views, bumpy off roading and beautiful beaches. We spent the morning in the mountains taking in the breathtaking views of Sardinia and the afternoon on the ‘most beautiful beach’ my daughter has ever seen! Francesco, our guide, was knowledgeable of the area and told us many facts of the areas history. He was great! I would definitely recommend this trip.

The off roading is no joke! Was so much fun, best part of the trip. The beach was great also. The tour company also set up a taxi to the airport for me at 5am the next morning! He came very much on time & put my mind at ease! It’s not easy getting taxis on this island at odd times. 4/5 stars as the guides English was hit or miss and could have included a bit more history of the historic towers & history of the island. I would totally recdomend this tour though especially at this price!

There was a mixup about us coming from a cruise ship. You all were willing to be flexible and pick us up near the pier instead of abandoning us. Emilio was fantastic and didn't make us feel like we were a drag on the group. The trip itself provided beautiful panoramic vista's of the coast and mountain range!

This tour made me fall entirely in love with Sardinia. The beaches were so clean and the sea is entirely crystal clear. It honestly has some of the best beaches in the med and even feels tropical due to it’s lush greenery (Early June). Our driver Francesco Paolo was such a kind man. His knowledge of Sardinia is second to none. He made us feel entirely welcome and also made us feel at ease in the mountains on the uneven terrains. This tour gives a good round trip of several areas you wouldn’t visit in a rental car or via public transport for a very reasonable price. Once again thank you Francesco ✨

The trip overall is very nice and I liked the idea of doing a sort of safari before visiting the beach. The guide also shared a lot of his knowledge. But there were a few issues: - no AC in the car at 35 degrees is hell, only ventilation through the windows (too much draft and dust) - Tuerreda beach was not accessible after 9 am but this wasn t mentioned anywhere on the company site or Viator; so we didn t stop here - when it s so hot, the trip could start with the beach so that we don t get burnt and afterwards do the safari

Dear Simo, AC thing, come on please: - do we promote and guarantee AC in the car? NO Don't book a tour if you are unsure about it or perhaps ask informations first if that is vital. it's a land rover defender and we do not need it given the nature of the tour and if 20000 more people do not find it a problem i guess you are the problem. You would feel sick going from cold to super hot to cold again but what can i say. When we wait for you guys to return we always wait inside the cars since it's 5° cooler, are we fools? i guess we are not. TUERREDDA NOT ACCESSIBLE: - if you booked via VIATOR you should just read what the plan for the day is, is there TUERREDDA mentioned? NO IT IS NOT. what do you complain about? it's like complaining because we did not take you to buckingham palace. If Tuerredda is not on the plan i guess Tuerredda will not a be a stop, why let us state the obvious? - WHERE THE TRIP COULD START: thanks for your lovely suggestions

The driver was great and we saw beautiful sights. The weather was Incredibly hot in August and I would not recommend this month for the tour. The beach where we have spent 4 h is nice for snorkeling and we had some small pine trees to hide from the sun. The kiosk on the beach has a very poor selection of drinks and sandwiches, so come prepared.
