The Andong Hahoe village was quite an interesting mixture of the old and the new -- houses where you can go in and see the rooms and other spaces -- and houses where people actually still live, with their cars and other signs of modern life. The folk museum vividly displayed significant events in the Korean upper-to-middle class lifestyle. The mask museum comprehensively showed masks from all over the world, as well as masks and their meanings from different parts of Korea. Julia was a great guide. She knew a lot, spoke English very well, and went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. I'd recommend her highly to anyone.
