Great class…but not private

Todd_S, Feb 2024
First, very nice man and nice tango teacher. It would have been a great experience except we had transportation issues getting there and then found out it was not actually a private class. It was our last night in Argentina and we chose this particular class because it was listed as private and we wanted the time alone with our adult kids…when we got there we found out there were two other couples. Although they were nice people and Saul was kind…it was not what was advertised. The teacher stayed extra for us since we were late which was very kind…but if you want a private class make sure and speak to the tour operator to verify…because he told me when I got there it was not private but up to 8 people…hence the extra 4 people. It should be listed as a semi-private tour not private! Also, ask for the ingredient list to make sure you like all the ingredients. There are olives in the meat empanadas which I am sure is delicious if you like Olives..my husband does not. We would 100% have loved it as a private class but felt like the advertising was misleading and that I paid for a private class and it was semi-private at best.

Thanks a lot for your so sincere review and I´m sincerely sorry the class was not what you expected as "private". Actually what happened is, because the booking for the tango class was made one almost immediately after the other, what is very exceptional, I was almost sure it was the same group of people, my mistake. Otherwise, when four people book I ask them if they mind to join with some more people, what usually don´t. My apologies again, and I will be happy to send you all the recipes on your request. Regarding the olives in the empanadas I promise you that even people don´t like at all olives, they do like empanadas with olives....:)Best wishes to all of you.

Must do

Saul is amazing. The food is the best and he makes you feel at home in his kitchen. I did this excursion in 2018 and enjoyed it so much that I did it again in 2024! The tango lesson was so much fun. It was an enjoyable evening of tango, cooking and good conversation. A must do in Buenos Aires.
