We meet at the entrance of the Recoleta Cemetery. The entrance is a big white gate with 4 high greek columns that says "Requiescat in Pace" (Rest in Peace) on top. There is a plaque that says street Junin 1760 (google maps marks it at Junin 1851). Look for a guide in ORANGE.

Very informative tour by our guide Mariano. Gives a great perspective on the history of Argentina. The tour is a full 1 3/4 hr long. Can book many additional walking tours directly through Buenos Aires Free Walks. Groups can be quite large depending on demand. Ours was about 30 people

Guide explains history, story and see several special mausoleums that helps a lot. Otherwise I don’t know which to look around since there are so many- 4900 different mausoleums.

Very informative and interesting tour. Also extremely reasonably priced. Our guide had incredible knowledge of the famous and infamous persons resting in the cemetery. Highly recommended.

A unique glimpse to this amazing cemetery.. History, incredible stories and such enthusiasm from the guide. She was passionate about the place and I can understand why. Each tomb with its own architectural style and details combined with stories about each family .

THe tour leader was absolutely terrific: knowledgeable, patient, funny and interesting. We were a large group but she managed to make herself heard. understood, and invited questions. It’s a worthwhile use of one’s time though the cemetery warrants more than a few hours. May as well visit the famous bookstore while you’re in the area.

Our guide was Mariana. She was very knowledgeable. She recognized that the sun and heat might be a problem and kept the guests in the shade as much as possible, which we really appreciated

This tour is an excellent way to add richness and depth to the fascinating Recoleta Cemetary! The provider was extremely organized, professional, prepared, and experienced. Our guide Mariana’s English was excellent, which allowed her to communicate to her audience clearly, effectively, and articulately. She is a master storyteller! We learned in-depth about many individuals and families buried at the cemetary, discussed art and architecture, and even lightly touched on Argentina’s political history. Highly recommend!!

This is a must do tour. Our guide, Victoria, was very engaging and had lots of wonderful stores to tell. Having a guide meant we could easily understand the history of the cemetery and area of Recoleta as well as learning about Argentina. The current resting place of Eva Peron was beautifully described and we learnt so much.

Tours are daily at 3:30, you arrive a little earlier to buy the admission tickets.

Great tour, Mariyana was very informative and knowledgable. Worthwhile your time, I’d go again as there is so much to and see. We had a nice beer just after the rout opposite the cemetery, reasonably priced and nice atmosphere.

Great historical commentary on the graveyard. Loved seeing Elvira Peron’s mausoleum. Just watch out for the fact that when you purchase the tour, when you arrive, you also have to purchase a ticket to enter the cemetery.

EXCELLENT! Mariano did an excellent and above wonderful excursion of the Riecoletta cemetery, give us so much info and history, and also made a very fun and enjoyable. Would not want to have done this without him as a tour guide.

Fascinating look at one of the world’s greatest cemeteries. Guide was very informative but at times a little too much detail. If you are coming to see Eva Perrone’s site you will be disappointed.
