Our guide was polite but was not native and it showed. He did not introduce himself and our group were the only people on the tour along with a person learning how to be a guide. He just gave general information about the stops. We walked in and out of the square multiple times. It felt at times we had to push him to the next stop.

Our tour guide was very nice, but has only been in Brussels 2 years and clearly was not that familiar. He was reading the map and at one point had it backwards.

Our guide N. was very friendly; however, she didn’t appear to be very familiar with the city’s history. She also had to check the route on Google Maps several times and relied on reading from her notes.
We expected a professional guide who is familiar with the city’s history and the architectural details of its most famous buildings, not someone who has only lived there for a few years—especially since the website also offered a ‘tour guided by a local’ for €3, compared to €35 per person (which is the amount we paid) on the platform.

Great tour to see the whole city! Our guide Tom was very informative, friendly, and we had a great time! I definitely recommend booking to get a deeper look into the city and things you would normally just pass by. The team made it simple to find our guide Tom amongst all the other large tours which normally can be the most stressful part. You will not be disappointed, book it!

I am giving this tour one star only because the guide was pleasant; otherwise, it felt like a waste of money. During our visit, we also booked a full-day bus trip to Bruges and Ghent from Brussels for only €10 more per person, which offered far greater value. This walking tour consisted mainly of the guide pointing out buildings and landmarks, with little historical depth, storytelling, or any meaningful “local insider” perspective. We could have easily replicated the experience on our own using Google or ChatGPT to plan a walking route. Overall, the tour was underwhelming—save your money for a more engaging experience or souvenirs instead.

Quite surprising to be amazed by the 2:10 minutes very affordable walking tour about Amsterdam. Raymond provided great interesting stories and history about the city. Would recommend for anyone who’s first time visiting the city. 5 stars!

This tour provided a good overview of the historic center of Brussels. It was a nice orientation for further exploration on your own. She made several good recommendations for authentic chocolate, waffles and meals. We enjoyed all of them after the tour. Lunch at Chez Leon was excellent. Best mussels!

Majib brought us in 2 hours to the most significant sights of the city. He did a great job in explaining the most important bits.
Comment about Viator: should have left more detailed instructions about the meeting point! There were like 20 groups meeting there at the same time.

Our guide was fantastic! She filled the 2- hour tour with the history and culture of Brussels. We got a list of places to eat dinner and fries, and find beer and chocolate. We really appreciated here time.

I recommend this tour for the start of your trip in Brussels. Our tour guide provided many great facts and tips about the area that we would not have picked up on our own. It also gave us a good idea on how to navigate the city by ourselves.

Wear comfy shoes as there are plenty of cobblestones. Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We visited places we might never have found on our own. Would certainly recommend.

Unfortunately, I learned more about our tour guide, Peter, than I did about Brussels. He was lovely, but I really wanted to learn more about Brussels, the history and the culture. The commentary was very limited — usually just a couple of sentences per site — and he couldn’t answer basic questions about the city’s history. It felt more like a walk with a friendly local than a guided historical tour. Disappointing, especially given Viator’s usual quality.

The tour guide provided no more than a couple of sentences about each building or location. Rather than offering in-depth commentary, he simply took us to the spots listed in the tour description and mostly made small talk during the walks between stops.

We walked past all the sites but was disappointed with the poor commentary on historical context of the sites and the history of Brussels in general. I could walk the sites myself, it was the context that I was after !

While Peter was a very nice person and we had a good group, Peter’s knowledge was lacking. We have become accustomed to much higher quality guides from Viator. It appeared the he got a call the day before to do the tour and just showed up in a city that he does not know well. I would had preferred that the tour been canceled rather than what we had.
