Fun experience for all ages
Going in I expected a fun, if touristy, experience and got exactly what I wanted out of it a fun hour of playing with chocolate. You have access to three types of chocolate- blonde [caramelized white], milk and dark for your base plus about a dozen options for toppings plus designs you can trace on to your chocolate - you can make as much as you want in the time given and you get to keep the apron as well. Only complaint was that the workshop area while cooler than the rest of the museum by far, it was not cool enough - the blonde chocolate in particular has trouble setting (making it a race against the clock to ensure you could take it with you) and all the chocolate lost its temper. Hardly something I'm going to deduct points for, but if you were thinking of using the blonde chocolate I'd absolutely start with that first and the chocolates may not be as shiny as you expect.
All in all though, a very fun activities for all ages - the 6+ rating seems appropriate for the dexterity needed.

Fun Chocolate Making Morning
This class is hands on, making chocolate pralines and tasting some local beers. Our host/instructor Wilfred was warm, funny and gave great information. You leave with a box of lovely chocolates that you made. And some interesting chocolate, beer and local history.

A definite must do in Bruges!
The class was excellent, with all of the ingredients laid out and a recipe to follow. Our instructor was very friendly and welcoming. The introductions with other participants made it more friendly in knowing their travels.
The result is walking away with delicious truffles!

Fun family activity
Lean to make authentic Belgian waffles in Bruges! Andy provided lots of information about waffles and their origin and place in Belgian food culture, plus a ton of tips for making great waffles. We each made a batch of waffles using his recipe, then enjoyed them! Biscoff spread on the waffles is amazing!
