A truly delightful exploration of Bruges. We did an almost complete navigation of the whole Bruges “ Egg” and learned so much about the history of Bruges on the way. This is probably one of the very best ways to see the entirety of Bruges and begin to understand a little about its place in the history of Belgium and the Netherlands. Our guide, Mercedes, a true local of Bruges was a fantastic tour leader and very adept at keeping us on track and negotiating the many charming streets of town. I highly recommend this tour!
Really enjoyed this tour with Sebastian. We went all over the city on these bikes while learning so much history of Bruges. Can’t recommend enough!! Sebastian went into depth on the history without being boring. We also traveled to areas on our list from the Beguinage to the Windmills. For the remainder of our visit in Bruge, we were able to recollect all the info we were given on the beautiful and interesting area.
Although it rained about 75% of the time I was on this bike tour (it turned out that we needed the umbrellas AND ponchos provided), I loved it! Sebastian was friendly and very knowledgeable. He took great care of us, always checking that the pace was appropriate and keeping us informed about the distance to the next stop, which I found quite helpful. I have an even deeper fondness for Bruges as a result of this tour!
This was a great way to see more of Brugge than just walking to the main plaza. It was very informative to hear about the history of the city and area which put a lot more context for our visit. We were able to see so much more of the city in the limited time we had for our day trip. Our tour guide, Stephan, was terrific!

Bruges, Guided Retro Biketour
Worried at first about riding bicycles on cobblestones but it turned out to be fine. The tricky part was avoiding pedestrian tourists, but our tour leader Eveline was a great navigator and historian. This 2 ½ hour bike tour went through the town and all the way around the canal boundaries of this beautiful city. Eveline, with her charm, city geography and historical knowledge, provided interesting facts to our multi-lingual small group. While I can’t remember all of our visits, I had a great time seeing the city and learning factoids like the underground pipeline from the brewery to the Half Moon restaurant. After the bike ride, our small group enjoyed beers or soft drinks in her quiet garden. Highly recommended, even for hesitant bicycle riders.

It is an authentically family run business. Christian was our guide and told us the fascinating, rich history of Bruge. He also sprinkled in relatable stories of his family history during the tour. We learned so much about the Burgandy’s, economics of the area over time, and how it got to be what is today. After, our group enjoyed a beer in their garden. It was a delight!

I can’t believe I never wrote a review for this! It was one of my favorite things to do in Belgium. I loved the tour and information given at all the stops. I was solo for this trip and it was nice to have a little time with other travelers too.

What an excellent experience! We were taken to the most interesting and important parts of the city and exposed to history we otherwise would not have learned. Sebastian was a considerate and attentive guide, making sure we were at the right pace and safely navigating through the city. He even brought water, ponchos and umbrellas. We have been on other tours that did not. At the end of the tour we concluded with a drink in a picturesque garden. We absolutely loved our experience.

Sebastian was a great guide. Very informative and helpful. It's a great way to see lots of interesting things in Bruges that you wouldn't see otherwise. The bikes are good and the riding was easy and mostly flat.
That said, there was a family with a child on our tour that wasn't a strong enough rider to keep up. I think some of that is on the family for booking a bike tour with her, while knowing her level of skill on a bike. It didn't really slow our tour down too much, and Sebastian was great at accommodating them without making the rest of us wait. I didn't see an age limit for the tour, but maybe there should be one.
All in all, it was an excellent tour and I would highly recommend it.

We thought this was the best bike tour we went on. The town was so beautiful, our guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Bruges. We learned so much. At the end we got to have a drink in the garden and it was lovely. Would definitely do this again.

The meeting place is beautiful in itself... a hidden garden area. Bikes were in good condition and all had baskets. Our tour guide Mercedes was so nice and friendly and obviously loves her city. She gave us clear explanations of what we were seeing and where we were. We saw beautiful areas and learned a lot about this enchanting town. Ending the tour back in the garden with a cold drink just made this experience top notch. I would highly recommend!

We had a lovely time with Godfriet. He was a delightful fella and he made the tour the right pace and gave us plenty of knowledge about the city. We were able to hide away in a spot he knew when a brief rainstorm came through. Would highly recommend this tour.
