Brilliant experience. Hands on experience making chocolate. Patient and welcoming guide who gave clear instructions and was on hand to help throughout. Very clean and safe environment and lots of fun!! Got to take away everything we made and very good value. Whether adult or child, lots of fun to be had!!

Very nice museum on multiple floors (there's an elevator, if needed). Brief chocolate (praline) demonstration & tasting. Making chocolate - lots of fun squeezing out premade chocolate onto a surface, decorate, be creative. Would highly recommend. Staff is very helpful!

Too Expensive and Instructors Had Poor Attitudes

I do a lot of viator experiences and many cooking ones. I thought this was disappointing. I guess it is partly my fault for not reading the reviews closely, and just basing my decision on the overall reviews. This is the chocolate museum in Brugge. I did not have any interest in visiting it. So you basically do a chocolate making experience with the staff at the museum. They are not good. Not personable. Not like cooking classes you have done before. It was large. I don't know. Maybe 20 people. I would recommend you look at another smaller more intimate experience not associated with the museum. 50 dollars a piece for the experience was way too high. This was like a 20 dollar experience, and that is generous. I might be somewhat biased, because I had just done the beer and waffle making class in Brugge that morning, and it was 100 times better. This was basically ok.

The museum visit itself takes approximately 90 minutes and includes several chocolate tastings along the way. We are particularly sorry that you found the interaction with our staff disappointing. Fun experience for all ages

Going in I expected a fun, if touristy, experience and got exactly what I wanted out of it a fun hour of playing with chocolate. You have access to three types of chocolate- blonde [caramelized white], milk and dark for your base plus about a dozen options for toppings plus designs you can trace on to your chocolate - you can make as much as you want in the time given and you get to keep the apron as well. Only complaint was that the workshop area while cooler than the rest of the museum by far, it was not cool enough - the blonde chocolate in particular has trouble setting (making it a race against the clock to ensure you could take it with you) and all the chocolate lost its temper. Hardly something I'm going to deduct points for, but if you were thinking of using the blonde chocolate I'd absolutely start with that first and the chocolates may not be as shiny as you expect. All in all though, a very fun activities for all ages - the 6+ rating seems appropriate for the dexterity needed.

My teenage daughter and I loved this activity. It was fun, engaging and well priced. Who wouldn't love chocolate and a free apron? I would highly recommend this experience.

Fabulous Chocolate Workshop and Museum Visit at Choco Story

I had a fabulous time at the Chocolate Workshop and ChocoStory Museum! The museum was so gracious to accommodate my early arrival so I toured the museum first. It was very informative and interactive. I then went to the chocolate workshop which was amazing!! Thomas was our Instructor and he did a fantastic job!! He clearly demonstrated what we would be doing and then we had the opportunity to apply what we were just shown. Thomas was very attentive to us all through out! What a sweet treat to take both the chocolate we made and the apron with us! Thank you Thomas for a fantastic workshop! I would highly recommend this tour!!

Great chocolate workshop

I wasn't really expecting a great deal from this, but it was a great workshop. Jackie the chocolatier was very helpful and ljust ovely. I was expecting to come home with a lollipop and a small bar, but we came home with loads which we were able to.pop into little plastic gift bags. Had an absolutely fab time, thanks so much.

This workshop was incredible! Tess was the instructor, and was just the sweetest. She made the experience very enjoyable. I can say it was 100% worth the money. You get to take home all of the chocolate you make, plus get to see the museum. I will recommend this to all of my traveler friends.

We had a short talk and demonstration on how to make our own chocolate bars and were given the choice of which chocolate to use and which toppings to put on. We then had around 45 minutes to make our own chocolate creations. We all loved it and made so much chocolate which we were able to take home. Our ticket also included the chocolate museum self guided tour which unfortunately we ran out of time to do afterwards. (Two adults and two kids aged 10 and 7.)

Fun Family Experience

This was a fun family experience. There were 3 different types of chocolate to choose from, the instructor provided a good explanation and demonstration. She allowed us to pick as many toppings as we wanted and change chocolate flavors whenever we wanted as well. The amount of chocolate we were able to make and take with us was crazy and we will be eating it forever!

The wonderful world of chocolate

The instructor was wonderful; clear and concise. Most of our time there was hands-on. We were a group of six, placed at the same work station and worked individually but also could help each other out. Since we were permitted to take home our handiwork, yummy chocolates, we worked fast! All six of us loved this experience and would highly recommend. By the way, the museum was an unexpected pleasure. Who knew there was so much to learn about the art and science of all things chocolate? Bottom line: go, learn, enjoy, make chocolate, eat chocolate!

This was the perfect experience for families with kids. You are not making chocolate but using their delicious chocolate to create your own chocolates/truffles. My kids loved decorating the chocolate and making chocolate lollipops.
