Lots of confusion at the terminal and getting off the bus. Once we were in the right group, our guide was excellent. Knowledgeable but not too much.
Considerable amount of walking on cobblestone streets and sidewalks.
Weather changes quickly.
Beautiful center city!
However, there were no headsets, so unless you were the first two people behind the guide when walking, you could not hear what she said and you feel like you are missing out.
You could hear when she stopped and talked to the group, which the guide did frequently.
The good news is that they limit the groups to 20 in the city center.
You get to see the outside of lots of buildings, but not the inside. If you are going to be in Bruges a couple of days, it would be a good tour to start with, to get to know where many of the sites are to come back and go inside and spend time.
Bruges is a wonderful fairy book city. Our tour was great as well as our guide Charlene. Highly recommend and definitely include the canal boat as well.
Walking tour was good, canal tour was wonderful. However, our tour guide Charles left us behind after the 2 hour free time. We were 1 minute late. Apparently Charles couldn’t count to 20 and notice 4 were missing. We had to catch a taxi to get back to the bus pickup area.

Thank you for your kind words about our tour. Please note that, according to our GPS records, the van departed 12 minutes after the pickup time, which means it was not a matter of just one minute while the entire group was waiting for you.
Unfortunately, we are not able to wait longer on shared tours, as your fellow cruise passengers insisted on departure.
When booking shared activities in the future, please respect other participants and be punctual. Otherwise, please consider more flexible private tours.

Loved the ancient building. The river cruise was fascinating. Enjoyed it very much.
There was nothing in the description saying that you would be doing a lot of walking BEFORE the Canal cruise and city free time.
I stopped at the beginning of the park, thinking that everyone would be back shortly and continuing on with the rest of the tour.
Nope, after over an hour wait, my wife informed me that the walk was all the way into the city before the canal tour.
I chose to take an Uber back to the cruise port as to wait alone in the park for another 2plus hours....

2. Please also review the “Additional Info” section of the tour description, which clearly states: “Please note that this tour requires significant walking, making it inaccessible for wheelchair or scooter users, as well as for guests with limited walking mobility.”
3. When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description and listed restrictions rather than on personal assumptions.

Our day is Brugge was fantastic! We enjoyed getting to see all the sites and still having some free time for our own exploration. Our guide was terrific! We finished our day with a hole in one Belgium waffle with chocolate and strawberries! Perfect mix of history, shopping and yummy treats! 100% recommend!
The tour and canal ride was wonderful and informative however our tour guide was not mindful of some participants physical limitations and was walking too fast so they could not keep up. He often was so far ahead he could not be seen. Other members of the group had to stay back to assist
Port stop got cancelled and Viator would not refund the fees paid. The ship didn’t give us 25 hour notice so I couldn’t give Viator 24 hour notice

I have done this tour before with great results. We booked it again this time with family. Unfortunately, our group was split up with another guide. She was hard to understand, she had a hard time breathing, and you could hear her struggling through the microphone provided. I was very disappointed, as were all the people in my party. Of course the city is wonderful and the canal cruise was nice.

It seems that your disappointment may stem from the fact that your family made three separate bookings and was split into. Please note that we divide guests into smaller groups for their comfort, each accompanied by their own guide. If you wished to stay together, we could have arranged that, but we did not receive any such request in advance. This is a mostly walking tour. The canal boat ride was the highlight. The leader had great info but microphone problems caused her to have to stop frequently to share. Felt rushed and just an overview

1. Bruges city center is pedestrian-only, which is why we spend about 2 hours walking during this 6-hour tour—1 hour on foot, followed by a canal cruise for rest, and then another hour walking.
2. The guide had no issues with the equipment; however, since it has a limited coverage area, she had to stop and wait for slower walkers behind the group, such as yourself.
3. The group pace is moderate. If you prefer to explore entirely at your own pace, please consider booking a private tour instead of a shared one, out of respect for fellow participants.

Great tour! It was mostly walking tour for those taking elderly be ware there is moderate paced walking but my mother was able to keep up with the group and enjoy the tour.
Christa was a wonderful tour guide. Having grown up in Bruges, she has much to share that is personal history which adds to the experience.
She was challenged when the return bus was nowhere in sight. She walked the length of the waiting buses several times and made numerous phone calls trying to find out where our bus was. Finally after about half an hour she found out that the bus driver had gone to the port instead of meeting us in Bruges. So we had to wait for him to drive back to Bruges. We were quite delayed in getting back to the ship. Christa seemed to keep her cool throughout, which shows how good she is.

Four people including me, got separated from the group when our group got merged in with another group. I called the tour guide on my phone three times. I told him we had gotten separated and where we were. He said he would be coming in five minutes he showed up 45 minutes later. I told him on two of the calls that we wanted to also do the Canal boat ride in Bruges But instead he took the entire group to the boat launching site, then came for us. I kept asking him. Where should we go? Just tell us we have a map. We were two blocks away from the boat. In those 45 minutes, we could’ve so easily walked to the boat site and gotten on the boat with the rest of our tour. Instead, he insisted time after time when I called three times That we stay exactly where we were and he would come get us. He did offer to put me on a boat with another tour, but it cut into the free time we had for shopping and I had a couple things I really wanted to buy, including chocolates. So I skipped the boat ride entirely and did my shopping. When we met at the meeting point at 1:30, he told me I must take a taxi to the tour bus. He spoken Dutch with the taxi driver. I said tell him exactly where to go. The driver took me to the wrong place a shuttle bus driver from my cruise ship saw me and helped me and talked to the tour guide on my phone. They brought me back to the ship. This could have been avoided if the tour guide had had a long stick with a with a tour number on it or a flag as many other guides did. We would’ve been able to follow him, but he should’ve noticed that two handicap people were missing from his group. We were connected by earphones and transmitters, and he could’ve given us a message over the transmitter. He needs better organization, he needs to be mindful of where the whole group is, and walk so fast that the people got all spread out. Once the other tours started mixing in with us we lost him and had no way to find him in the crowd, a stick with a number or a identifying flag would have solved many of these problems.
