This a great way to see Bratislava from a different perspective. We went after two days of heavy rain and river was quite full, so paddling upstream was a bit of a challenge in places, but very rewarding. If you have some experience kayaking you'll love it. Our guide Andre was brilliant and also gave us some tips of other places to visit in the city.

We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour today! The family running the kayaking experience were so welcoming and really looked after us! We would highly recommend this trip to anyone and everyone visiting Bratislava (a little kayaking experience definitely helps!)

An excellent intro to...

This takes you off the beaten tracks in Bratislava, gives you a different perspective on the city. The history of the clubhouse alone is worth the visit and not something you will get on any regular tour. An excellent intro to kayaking from Peter made even complete beginners confident and comfortable in boats. Even though the flow looks fast we were in good quality stable but maneuverable boats and got tips to be able to paddle up stream easily. Top tip: bring a swimsuit and towel so you can take a swim after the paddle.

The water level in the river was too high so they took us rafting instead which was very fun. The guide was really helpful and entertaining and it was very relaxing paddling down the Danube.

Was a lovely way to see the city from a different perspective. Andre put us at ease, made sure we were safe and reminded us of the basics. He also took some fab photos of us while on the water. The meeting point is a bit tricky to find but if you look out for the green wooden building on the water side.

We had such a wonderful experience with Ondrej! It was a great way to see a quieter side of Bratislava and get some travel tips from a local. We got to see some wildlife and had a such a blast. We also weren’t expecting to get such professional photos out of the experience, but what a great surprise that was. Highly recommend!

Very knowledgeable and patient guide on the water. Dušan helped two inexperienced kayakists (us) navigate the Danube through some strong currents and even gave us tips on the way. His enthusiasm and love for paddling comes through immediately. The kayak club was full of history, and Dušan was kind enough to give us a brief tour too.

My wife and I decided to do this so we could see Bratislava from a different view and we were both keen to try our hand at some canoeing (we've done it a few times before but never on a big river). We struggled slightly to find the meeting place but when we found it we were a little early so decided to sit on a bench and wait since it was a fair walk from our hotel, we were not really made to feel very welcome as it looked like they were setting up for some sort of party but we waited for our guide. Our guide turned up and greeted us but didn't introduce herself so we didn't find out her name until later, nothing was ready for us so we had to help setup which wasn't a major issue and after going through the basics of how to use a paddle and get in/out of the canoe we were ready to go. Once we were out on the river I noticed our guide sticking close to the shoreline, assuming this was to keep an eye on things I didn't think anything of it until we got caught in a swell and struggled to get passed it, afterwards out guide warned us that there were some parts of the river where there was rocks under the water that caused the swell and sticking by the shoreline was the best thing to do in order to avoid this, would have been good to know before hand but hey ho. During the trip our guide didn't speak to us much other than to ask if we would like a break which was needed after the amount of effort fighting the current. She didn't even advise us to bring water or anything with us so she sipped on her water whilst we had to wait till we were back at the shore. I wouldn't recommend this trip to anyone that is expecting to have a guided tour or any advice on canoeing, at best this trip is escorted canoe rental so if that's what you're after then fill your boots, I would also recommend not to take this trip if you have never canoed before and are expecting any help or advice on how to canoe, learn before you try this as it's very difficult for beginners. The trip did have some nice moments where we were able to see the city from the river but that was few and far between. My advice to the people that run this trip would be to show some more enthusiasm towards this trip and the people on it, help those that look like they are having difficulty and maybe provide some insight into the city and the canoe club as there's lots of history in the city, also maybe provide some advice on how to dress, what to bring and what to expect on the day as we didn't receive anything like that and being advised to bring a change of clothes or swimming costumes, bottled water etc would have been really useful information to have especially for beginners.

I am really sorry that you did not enjoy the kayaking. 99% of the guests we have are complete beginners, so I definitelly recommend it to anyone who does not have health issues. Helping to carry the equipment to the river is part of beeing a kayaker, we are talking about 100m so I believe this not to be a problem. Regarding recommendation what to wear and what to bring, this is written in the info our customers receive and we also specifically write it to guests before they arrive. As any experience, kayaking also depends much on the attitude of the guests. I understand that paddling is not for everyone since it requires physical activity. Threfore we always adapt the leght of the trip to customers abilities.

The whole tour wasn’t like we expected it to be! I thought we were going to see Some nice sights of Bratislava, but we only saw a couple of bridges and went back to shore. The kayakking it self was nice to do, but the tour guide had a bad mood or something.

Wir sind drei Mädels, die diese Tour mit Leichtigkeit gepackt und genossen haben. Eine nette Abkühlung, nach einem heißen Sommertag. Ist für jeden zu schaffen und auf jeden Fall einen Ausflug wert. Es sieht anstrengender und gefährlicher aus als es tatsächlich ist. Alle waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und flexibel, so dass wir sogar schon eine halbe Stunde vorher anfangen konnten, aufgrund von überpünktlichem eintreffen.
