I had signed up because I wanted to learn more salsa and above all. Get to know the bars where I could dance salsa. Unfortunately I was the only participant and I learned to dance salsa solo. Five basic steps, of which I already knew at least 2. But the teacher was great. After the lesson we were supposed to go to a hotel to have a cocktail, but that didn't happen and so did the whole tour (which is what I actually came for). As compensation I was allowed to take 2 lessons at the academy the next day, 1 bachata and 1 salsa lesson. Well, that's nice, but that wasn't the intention. I wanted to get to know bars and be able to dance figures with a partner. But the bachata lesson was far below my level and I didn't learn anything there. When the salsa lesson started I had so much pain in my calves that after watching the beginning of the lesson I decided to leave. I definitely wouldn't learn anything new there either. In the end this was a disappointing experience for me. So if you can already dance salsa and/or bachata San this is not recommended. Certainly not if you can't do the whole tour. And that was exactly my intention. Learned nothing and 28 euros poorer. I could have better spent that on a private lesson. I'm not saying that this dance academy is bad, but for me this was not what I wanted.

On the day of the tour, you were the only participant. Before canceling the activity, we offered you the chance to continue with a private lesson, which you kindly accepted. You also mentioned that you don’t drink alcohol, so we offered a non-alcoholic beverage instead. Since the group visit to the bar couldn’t take place, we proposed two additional dance classes at our academy as compensation, which you also accepted. You participated in a partnered bachata class, and although you couldn’t finish the second salsa class due to physical discomfort, we were happy to support you throughout. Our goal is to create authentic, joyful experiences. While we understand your frustration about not joining a social night out, we want to clarify that the core services were provided, and we went beyond to offer extra options with kindness and care. As a gesture of our commitment, we’d love to invite you to a group partner class at a higher level — free of charge — if you ever return to Bogotá.
