A fabulous museum and a very talented guide

Brett_A, Feb 2025
Bogotá’s gold museum is simply wonderful! Tens of thousands of pieces of gold, mostly from before the Spanish Inquisition. The best of the best - and the videos on how the objects were made were excellent. Add to that an exceptional guide, Mauricio, who knew how to make history come alive - as well as his way around the museum - and this was one of the best museum experiences possible.

Well worth the money. Great way to learn about indigenous communities and Colombian history. Daniel was thorough and answered out questions while providing insight. One of the best museums I’ve visited.

The Gold Museum is amazing and tour guide Alejandro was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable about not only the gold pieces in the museum, but also the history of Colombia and Bogota. A highlight of our trip!
