Begin your English experience at your Bath accommodation at 9am, when you’ll board a climate-controlled vehicle and greet your small group of eight or fewer. During the 1-hour journey to Stonehenge, your guide provides a historical overview of the mysterious monument, the purpose of which has eluded historians for centuries.
On arrival at Stonehenge, use your skip-the-line ticket to sail past lines and head straight inside the UNESCO-listed site. Using an audio guide to direct your exploration, wander around the 3,500-year-old stone ring and listen to theories surrounding Stonehenge’s supernatural, spiritual, and astronomical significance.
Then, after returning to your vehicle, you’ll embark on a tour of Somerset’s secluded villages. Delve into the county’s gorgeous countryside, stop for lunch (own expense) at an English pub that oozes character, and visit villages full of archetypal English cottages and places that inspired writers such as Thomas Hardy and Jane Austen.

The tour was great. I never thought I would see Stonehenge so it was wonderful visiting a site with so much history! Our tour guide Ralph was a delight. He gave us a lot of information but not as to be tiring. The tour of the countryside and small villages was beautiful. Luckily we had good weather and he showed us some interesting spots. Highly recommend it if you like to be informed, go in a small group and be entertained as well.

Stonehenge was better than we expected. Safely guided to Stonehenge with all the pointers and information. Simon was even telling latest discoveries and findings. Gave us private time there for taking it all in. Lunch was lovely and then fun afternoon of hidden treasures. Great day with Simon!

Our guide Ralph was fantastic. The weather was grey windy and very wet all day, but we still managed Stonehenge and learnt some history surrounding this special place. With the weather so bad Ralph adapted our tour to suit our needs and bring out some hidden gems of the area. Lunch in an historic Pub to warm up and dry off! Thanks Ralph for a brilliant day. We will return again on a sunny day and hope you will be able to be our Tour Guide once again.

What an amazing day! Jules provided an interesting and well-rounded full-day tour. The first half was a trip to Stonehenge filled with history, theories behind the evolution of Stonehenge and interesting tidbits about the area. He then took us to some terrific little villages and hamlets that were quieter ... not overrun with tourists (just the way we like it). We visited a 15th century church, a palace and the ruins of a castle. Throughout it all, Jules was entertaining, informative and fun. At the end of the day, I forgot my coat and water bottle in his car. He took the time to drive all the way back to our hotel to personally deliver them to me. A+ for customer service. A+ for a wonderful day.

Not having to navigate, drive, and stand in long queues to visit Stonehenge and the countryside made for a very relaxing day. Max was engaging, fun, and very knowledgeable about the area. He is an excellent conversationist with the perfect balance of information and casual talk. In addition to Stonehenge, Max drove our group to several unique sites that we would not have seen on our own. We stopped for a wonderful lunch in the countryside. Plenty of photo opportunities. Highly recommend for family with teens or adults.

My husband and I, along with our two adult sons booked this tour during a recent visit to the U.K. Our guide, Phoenix, was very knowledgeable and he made sure we had a wonderful experience. We toured Stonehenge in the morning and then toured the Countryside. We stopped at a lovely place for lunch, visited an old castle and made two other stops before returning to our hotel. I highly recommend this tour and our guide.

Jules was amazing, informative and engaging! Small Group was perfect-met two new friends (Pauline and Tony)! It was spectacular to see authentic English towns instead of the commercialized areas. Really enjoyed!! In fact this was one of our favorite parts of our entire trip!! Highly recommend!!

We truly enjoyed our small group tour of Stonehenge and Authentic England from Bath. Having a guide who was able to educate our small group on the mysteries of Stonehenge, as well as immerse us in beautiful and historical village life was priceless. Jules is such a personable guy, that by the end of the tour we all felt like friends. We also really appreciated his visual and even audio resources. You can tell he has a teaching background! Stayed at DUKES hotel about 5 minutes walk from the river. Lovely place, very clean with a good breakfast menu. The staff were the highlight. Super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Carol the owner was superb as was her number 1 assitant David. Hats off to a great hotel. Took a tour with Around and About Bath. Julian the tour guide runs his business and I would class it as a boutique tour. Being an ex History teacher he is loaded with tons of facts and history of Stonehenge and the surrounds of Bath. He is such a personable guy who is focused on making sure you have a great experience. Finally, if you do nothing else make sure you have a spa at the Gainsbridge Hotel. Forget the public spa. Go top shelf. The experience is one in a lifetime and you and you alone are the focus of the staff. Hats off to Roberto. Treated us like royalty. What a great guy. Jules, We just can't thank you enough it's been 3 weeks since the tour and we are still talking about you. Your tour was the highlight of our entire 3 week trip. Stonehenge was a bucket list for The Grandparents however we were looking for something we as a family hadn't done. So the secrets of Somerset was intriguing and we are so happy we did the tour. Jules tied in so many neat stories and history lessons to all the different places we visited it was amazing. I apologize I'm being deliberately vague so I don't give away any secrets. His teaching background really comes thru especially in his desire to accommodate for everyone. One of our 3 sons is Autistic and can be very distracting but Jules never missed a beat and was very engaging to everyone. Thanks again Jules we wish you a happy and prosperous new year!
