Book your preferred tour option, and meet your guide in central Bath. Then, set off to explore on foot, learning about the UNESCO-listed city and its architecture on route.
Founded by the Romans as a thermal spa and littered with classical treasures, Bath flourished in the 18th century with the development of its honey-stoned, Georgian architecture.
Admire Pulteney Bridge and Gothic Bath Abbey, the coronation site of England’s first king in 973, and then continue to Bath’s showpiece: the Roman Baths.
Pay the entrance fee (depending on option selected) and tour the stunning, column-lined Great Bath and changing rooms, hot pools, and other facilities, all once used for relaxation and socializing by ancient Romans.
See the hot springs, and view the main artifacts in the museum collections, including the famous Minerva’s Head and inscribed stone tablets.
Next, delve into the historical town center to admire its Georgian architecture. See the Pump Rooms and Upper Assembly Rooms, and walk to the world-famous Royal Crescent. Drink in the sumptuous sweep of this 18th-century terrace, and admire the Circus, a circular-shaped terrace formed from curving segments.
After learning about these architectural masterpieces, your tour finishes in the city center.

Very knowledgeable tour guide. Our transportation hot traffic on the way and we were a bit late. By contacting Viator via the app, we were able to able to let them know we were on the way.
It would have been nice if they could have given a better description of the meeting point.
We were lucky that the tour guide had an umbrella that had the Troy groups name on it. It would have been good for us to know this. I happened to remember the name and that show we found our guide.
The guide, Will was really knowledgeable and friendly. Great tour!

Steve_J, Aug 2026

Fantastic experience! Our guide John found the perfect mixture of wit, nice anecdotes and valuable information!

Our guide, Leo, was great. We walked all around Bath while Leo explained the history of the area. We visited Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, the Circus and Royal Crescent. Leo explained each area we walked through and visited. Leo then dropped us at the Roman Baths, as he had our tickets, for us to explore at our leisure. Leo, a university student, was very knowledgeable, kind and fun. We would not hesitate to take another tour with Leo!

Leo was a wonderful tour guide. He’s extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly and courteous. He was very helpful to me in dealing with some physical struggles my husband was experiencing, and customized the tour to best meet our needs.

Fun, informative, expensive (given there are free walking tours) but we had a lovely first trip to Bath exploring. Did raise an eyebrow when the tour guide said a historical figure had had ‘a massive Paddy’ when he didn’t get his way… might want to do some research on that phrase and not use it again. Maybe put in the find your guide info that they are holding a green and white umbrella as the area we were due to meet was soooooo busy.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Hello - we are glad you liked the tour! Thank you for your feedback - our aim is to never offend anyone or use a word with a negative connotation. We will be sure to speak with our guide to let them know that this phrase is not an appropriate one to use. And we appreciate your feedback regarding the umbrella; we will see what we can do to make it clearer to customers when booking to look for the green and white umbrella. Thank you!

We were booked onto the 4pm tour and found this to be a perfect time as the sun wasn’t as strong and there were fewer people around than had been earlier in the day. Our guide, Luke, was knowledgeable and engaging - sharing a good amount of history and background in an amusing manner without going too deep and losing the audience. We had the Roman bath tickets package where we visited the site at the end of the tour and used the audio guides to explore the exhibition at our own pace. A nice surprise to the Baths visit was the acoustic music and bar by the main pool which made for a very pleasant start to a chilled evening before heading to dinner.

Daniel was knowledgeable and easy to talk to during the tour. Was easy to book. Could use clearer instructions as to where to meet the guide.
Brian_K, Aug 2026
John was our guide and was fantastic. Excellent commentary and pace. Helped us appreciate the area. Bath city center has a good deal of places to see.
Emma_O, Aug 2026
Well worth the money, I'd seen a lot just walking around but it was great to understand what I was looking at and the history of it all. Guide was great and had extensive knowledge.
JOSEPH_L, Jul 2026

Our guide was John and he did an excellent job giving an overview of city history, how it was built in addition to ultimately going and seeing Roman Baths. I highly recommend this tour, it was fun and informative.

VERY MISLEADING TITLE!!!
The Roman Baths itself was NOT included we payed a good sum to go on this tour only to find out it is an added extra regardless of the title for the booking.
In fact they messaged me to let me know about this after booking and have a NO refund policy.
I’m sure the walking tour is good but we did not attend as we wanted to see the baths themselves and paid separately to do so after finding this out.
If they are aware of this being an issue they should have a refund or even a partial refund option instead of messaging people to essentially ask them for more money to do what they wanted in the first place.
It’s a shame because I literally booked this for my partners 26th birthday as she had always wanted to go, I don’t earn a lot of money anyway and this trip had cost so much already so to have to pay for another tour was just something I could have done without.

Wonderful guided tour and great storytelling by our guide, Ewan! Very informative. Would highly recommend.
Wiiliam_H, Jul 2026
Very informative and fun. Tom was wonderful and we all enjoyed his wit. It was quite a walk but it didn't matter when you enjoy it

A nice experience with a knowledgeable guide. The highlight was the story about the rug. The Roman baths reminded me of the Asterix stories.
Jeff_L, Jun 2026
If all you have is one day in Bath, you should take this tour. Our guide, Luke, was great. He was knowledgeable, funny, and we covered a lot of ground in a short period of time.
