Great experience.
Owen the tour guide was very knowledgable and had a great depth of information on the subject he was discussing. With that knowledge he was able to deliver the talk at a level the group could all understand. He made the talk interesting and enjoyable throughout keeping it light and engaging where possible.
As the museum is relatively new it is still growing and will overtime become an even better museum and exhibition.
I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting Bristol and would like to revisit again in the future when it has become fully established

Knowledgeable guide who seemed very passionate about the history of Bristol bombing. My daughter is 14 and loves the history of world war so throughly enjoyed it and so did we. It appeared to be a fairly newish tour as works were still being carried out. Would be nice to experience when works have been done and can visit all of the shelter.
Very interesting experience. Guide was excellent and engaged with the audience. Air raid shelter had some really interesting articles and artifacts and the guide spent time going through them and allowing visitors to look and touch.
I really enjoyed the tour. I didn't know anything about the Bristol blitz and had never been in an underground bomb shelter so it was very interesting to learn about it and to see it first hand. To be outside and see pictures of what buildings used to be there compared to what is there now was striking. The tour guide did a great job of making the tour interesting and memorable. I recommend the tour.
We are local to Bristol and fancied a day out in the centre, this trip was very informative and interesting. The guide clearly had a passion for the stories he was telling and really brought them to life.

What an interesting tour, covering lots of information about the history of central Bristol from Saxon times to the 1960s. The 2 hours flew by, with Duncan the Guide being informative, friendly and very engaging.

We had a wonderful experience touring the St. Nicholas market and air raid shelter. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge about Bristol, and gave the tour with a passion that kept everyone engaged. The tour was a perfect balance of market, history, current Bristol, and WW2. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
We went as a group of 11 and everyone agreed it had been a very interesting and informative trip ( even those who had lived in Bristol all their lives). The guide was interesting and knowledgable

Afternoon tours feature the Air Raid shelters beneath St Nicholas’ Market. If you wish to include the market, then you need to book a morning tour.

What a fantastic insight into the Bristol Blitz and what the Germans did to our once beautiful City. The tour itself is amazing with the very knowledgeable Owen. The amount of times I have walked past St Nicholas Market and never knew what was underneath.

Be aware this is only a tour of the air raid shelter not St Nic’s market. That is another tour and apparently Viator have been asked to change the title of this tour by the operator many times but won’t. The Air raid tour was excellent but don’t sign up if you especially want the market tour.

Fabulous WWII bomb shelter tour!
The guide was fun, informative and super knowledgeable. Being a Bristolian I thought I knew a lot about my home city but learnt loads. We did the tour as a family afternoon activity, something a little different and everyone loved it. Grab some amazing food in St Nicks Market to either start or finish your day.
A real insight into history. I would never have known it was there despite living in Bristol all my life. The guide was very enthusiastic about the facts and made it fun too!

A really informative and interesting tour delivered with charm, passion and lots of knowledge and insight. Opened my eyes literally to buildings iI walk past every day. It was great to see things being incorporated into the content from people that have been on the tour previously and sent in stories and pictures. The sad but constant refrain that Bristol has always been underserved by its public authorities was inevitably present.

Duncan our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very passionate sharing information in a fun way. Lots of time for questions . We learnt a lot of unknown information especially as its our native city. We would recommend this for both tourist and locals.

It is about two hours of mostly standing around and some minor walking. You learn about Bristol's history briefly, and then most of the tour is focused on the Corn Exchange especially as it relates to its basement being an air-raid shelter in WW2. The tour guide is informative and funny, and I have a wonderful time.
It’s worth booking! I travel often and always short on time, I love all these Viator walks, Theresa on this walk was an amazing guide!!
