We were not given an English speaking tour guide. As a matter of fact, we had no touring at all.. I did address it with Europe journeys and they said that they were going to speak with you, about this issue. We were very disappointed that we had no Tours and paid a lot of money..

This experience is clearly described as a private transfer with sightseeing stops, not a guided tour.
As explicitly stated multiple times in the listing, the service includes an English-speaking local driver, not a licensed tour guide, and does not include guided walks, structured commentary, or organized touring.

All elements of the service were delivered exactly as advertised.
We understand that disappointment can occur when expectations do not align with the product booked. However, expecting a guided tour when the product clearly states otherwise is not a failure of service, but a misunderstanding of the product details.

Avoid this tour. It is not what it says it is. The two stops were seen in a few minutes not an hour and a half each. The second stop at the abbey was a total bust. The entire abbey was under construction. Our driver tried his best to accommodate us and he was great but the logistics of the transfer were terrible. I repeatedly told the folks 3 people, 3 large suitcases and 3 medium suitcases. The driver showed up in a Tesla Model S. To the driver’s credit, he got everything in the car but my wife and I were crammed in the back seat along with a couple bags. Moreover the tour operator gave the driver the wrong pickup address. Just a total mess and NOT worth the hundreds of dollars we paid for the transfer. The only good thing about it was the driver doing his best to accommodate us.

This review clearly shows that all essential details were provided accurately and on time, while the complications that occurred resulted solely from information being overlooked or shared too late by the customer.
Here are the facts:
• The vehicle type and luggage capacity were clearly stated.
A sedan for 1–3 passengers accommodates up to 3 suitcases.
Your group traveled with 6 large/medium bags, which exceeds the booked vehicle’s capacity.
This information is clearly listed in the product description and reiterated in our welcome message, where we also advise guests to request a larger vehicle if they have additional luggage.
Choosing an undersized vehicle was therefore a customer decision, not a service failure.
• The pickup address was changed by the customer on the morning of the service.
Such a last-minute change significantly complicates logistics for any transportation provider.
Despite this, our team and driver responded promptly and professionally, ensuring the service ran smoothly.
It is important to note that this issue originated on the customer’s side, yet we resolved it efficiently.
• The duration of sightseeing stops is entirely up to the traveler.
If you chose to stay only a few minutes instead of the suggested 1.5 hours, this is a personal choice — not a service issue.
• Attraction availability is the traveler’s responsibility — and we even offer assistance.
The listing clearly states:
“Please independently verify the opening hours and ticket availability.”
This was also included in our welcome message, where we explicitly offer:
“If you are unsure, contact our operators and we will verify it for you.”
This option was not used.
Temporary closures or construction work are beyond any transportation provider’s control and do not reflect the quality of the transfer.

Our driver contacted us requesting to pick us up an hour earlier than the scheduled time. We agreed, but when we got to the first location, we realized that the little village was not opened that early, so we returned to the car. As we were driving, he told us that there really isn’t much to see at the next location that he was supposed to bring us to, so he asked if he could bring us to a lake instead. Not knowing anything about the area, we said okay. He pulled up to a restaurant that we had to walk through to get to the lake. He took a picture for us and then told us we could go for a walk along the wooded path and he returned to the restaurant. My husband and I looked at each other and decided that neither of us wanted to go for a hike down the path, so we returned to the restaurant where he was having a glass of wine. We waited for him to finish and then he asked, “Do you like church?” , to which we shrugged our shoulders and said it’s okay. He then brought us to a small church about 5 minutes from there and told us we could go in through those doors. We got out of the car to find the doors locked, so we got back in the car and said that it was locked. He replied, “Okay, I take you to your hotel”. He drove to the hotel, removed our luggage from the trunk and drove away. As I walked into our room, I realized I left my book in his car. I contacted he and he kindly returned my book later to the hotel. If we had paid for just a transfer, this would have been fine, but we paid over $500.00 for three hour sightseeing experience. I feel we absolutely did not get what we paid for.

The driver confirmed that the earlier pickup was agreed upon mutually, and that you yourself requested to return to the hotel early, as the suggested stops weren’t of interest to you. We also want to strongly clarify that the driver did not consume alcohol — he was served non-alcoholic wine, which is a common local option in that region. At Europe Journey, alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited for all drivers, and no professional would risk their license, reputation, or — most importantly — the safety of our guests over a glass of wine.
We truly appreciate your feedback, and while we believe the driver acted respectfully and within our policies, we’ll take this opportunity to further improve communication and clarity in similar future tours.
