Rahel was an exceptional guide and we had an enjoyable and informative tour. She provided a great introduction to Basel and is very pleasant and personable.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and catered the tour to our personal preferences. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Paola was friendly and fun to be with. She had planned and ambitious itinerary, explaining the history and significance of everything we saw. It was like visiting a friend and having her show you her city.
Tour guide very friendly and knowledgeable about the town and it's history. She spoke good English so she was easy to understand.
We fully enjoyed Paola. She was very informative and flexible with what wee wanted to see and do. We were only in Basel for a day before getting on a River Cruise. so after the tour she sent us recommendations for lunch. We felt two hours was enough for us to get a jist of Basel.
Unfortunately we had to cancel our tour. Our guide was very understanding due to the circumstances. Is there a possibility of applying any credit toward a future tour or for at least a partial refund? If not, we understand. The cancellation was totally on us.

Michael was very well versed on the history & architecture of Basel. He was a wealth of information. Really enjoyed the tour.
Excellent tour. Basel is a very interesting town with lots of history. Paola was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories about the town, the people and the culture. She adjusted the itinerary and the pace per the needs of our group.
One last thing,… I made the reservation a month before the actual tour date. Within 1 day of making the reservation, Paola reached out to me and we began planning our tour.
I would highly recommend doing this tour with Paola.
Rahel was an excellent guide for our few hours spent in the city! She was very knowledgeable and showed us many hidden things that we would have missed had we walked around on our own. She also answered many of our questions about traveling around Switzerland. A lovely way to spend a morning in Basel!

Our tour guide Paola was wonderful. Her love of her beautiful city of Basel came shining through and she was very attentive to our time constraint of 2 and a half hours. She tailored our tour and got us back to the train station exactly on time. She told us lots of history of this beautiful medieval city. I highly recommend Paola and Viator!!

Guide was informative and passionate about Basel. She showed us all the important sights. The experience was great. She was easy to communicate with.
Paola was an absolutely lovely tour guide! She was friendly, lively, knowledgeable and overall just a fun person! Even with English not being her first language, she spoke wonderfully and clearly. I could not imagine walking through Basel and not getting a tour from her. She changed our entire view of the city, and even showed us all the tiny details that the average person would miss. If I’m ever in Basel again, my wife and I will likely take the longer tour with her. Cannot recommend Paola enough!
She was very informative. Only downside was a confusion to the start time so she was 20 minutes late.
Rahel was so informed. She knew the city well as well as all the history that told the story of Basel. We had some mobility challenges and with our transit pass we were able to navigate all the places of interest. She took note of my love of photography and use of my SLR camera. Rahel regularly positioned me for perfect foto opportunities. Over 200 pictures later I was delighted. She even recommended a local eatery for traditional dishes. We parted ways with her and went to the restaurant which just enhanced a magical day! Absolutely magnificent!!!!
We learned so much from Rahel on our tour of Basel and it quickly became one of our favorite cities. Rahel was very knowledgeable and showed us so many sites we would have missed on our own.
Having a private tour is certainly worth it. Michael is very knowledgeable about Basel history. Because there was only 3 of us, he was able to address our initial and follow-up questions. We covered a lot of ground in the 2 hours, and he took us to off-the-beaten track areas of Basel where we would never have discovered by ourselves.
Michael was very thorough in his explanations of old Basel city. Both my husband and I enjoy listening to the history of the areas we visit so this was perfect. He took us to areas that we probably wouldn't have seen on our own and gave us recommendations for what to do the next few days we are in Basel. We did go on our tour on a Monday, and some places he tried to show us were closed. I recommend that if you are in Basel a few days try to avoid Sundays or Mondays as some businesses and museums are closed.
